Well, another summer hiking season comes to a close (maybe), and even a camping trip! Whoop! This hike was really beautiful and we saw so much going on as well! From warmth up to snowfields, and even a witnessing helicopter rescue! You made a good call not trying to go up Shoshone Peak. One of us would have wrecked a knee on those snow covered boulders…..and getting to the pass was good enough, and quite a feat in itself. I have to publicly thank you for all the work you do on those videos, with the driving, the filming, the editing, adding beautiful music and your hilarious humor we all enjoy. This is the creative outlet you have searched for, and you finally found your niche. But, especially, taking your old mama with you on some of these great adventures! As long as you keep encouraging me, and as long as I can keep hiking, I will keep on truckin’ along with you. Thank you again, son for all you do!
Another great hike! Loved seeing the SAR action. I'm in the USAF Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol) so that is right up my alley. Have fun out there brother! I'll be there in less than 2 months!
Thanks Fred! I wish I could zoom with it! If the GoPro had the zoom it would be the ultimate camera.. but those zoom shots came from my Nikon B600. I hadnt been using it for a while because my batteries all died. But I got new ones!
@@nicksangetta8874 I wondered about that. Well your Nikon B600 does an amazing job. Really enjoy watching your videos. My wife and I have hiked many of the trails in the National Park and watching yours are like being there too!! Keep up the great work!!

IPW = one of my favorite wilderness areas in all of Colorado besides my #1 Weminuche...to bad they are soo popular. Love your mom! She kills it every time! Not sure what camera you are using, but the angle of the sun/autumn light is sweet. It hits the rock faces just right and makes everything pop with detail and warmth. Really epic SAR coverage!

Your go pro 11 does so well! Everything looks so real. What a beautiful hike. I think IPW has so much beauty. You did a great job with the cloud-time-lapse! Awesome. I hope the blackhawks found who they were looking for. We are behind in watching your videos but will have to catch up soon. Hope the snow will hold off and you can get in some more epic hikes. So, my question: Was there a post-hike birthday celebration somewhere? Your #1 fans from Tennessee!!!
Thanks Silke! That area is one of my favorites. We felt like we were hiking at the north pole or something. There was an after celebration at Star of India restaurant. It was excellent!
Happy Belated Birthday Nick! 45, that's nothing. Look what you've accomplished! The years ahead, no problem. Beautiful adventure. We only did a backpack trip to Mirror and Crater Lakes this year in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. The permit system for IPW is not as easy as RMNP. Hopefully get to explore more on 2023.
