My grandfather use to wear the cologne omg. This cologne is very old. I bought it and even my mom and her siblings said that they recognize that cologne from when my granddaddy use to wear it.

Excellent review. To my nose, GIT is a high level version of vintage Grey Flannel, which I wore back in the day. I think it’s the violet leaf.
Smells like a Sophisticated version of Zest soap with staying power.
It’s not sexy, it’s not bossy but it’s pleasant af. You’ll make the room smell good and won’t offend anyone.
Probably the kinda guy who everyone likes having around. Can get along with everyone.

Aspen by Coty smells very similar to Green Irish Tweed, but Green Irish Tweed lasts and projects significantly better and longer. One is $250 and the other is $20, so i'm sure you know which one is which lol.
This was my 1st niche fragrance and 1st Creed as well. Immediately fell in love with the smell and my wife can't get enough of it on me
Bought a bottle today, after hours of comparisons and skin tests. Glad to have committed and love it.

What year did they start to become more soapy and less green? I'm currently in the market for some GIT. Ive only smelled 2017 which opens up a little green but dry down is amazing.

To me GIT smells too floral and fresh. Something like a more floral Sexual pour homme / Eternity. I thought GIT would be a cleaner, lighter (and more Irish Springy) version of Polo Green.
What is the difference between Creed Green Irish Tweed and Creed Green Irish Tweed Millesime?

I really tried to like this one, but it's a bit too grassy for my tastes, maybe if they'll add some sweetness or some fruits to it...I'll give it another chance.

i think armaf tres nuit is very, very nice. but its more of a chez bond lafayette fragrance type clone. people say its close to green irish tweed. its not. its different.

From my use, I prefer green Irish tweed in the spring. Silver mountain water needs slightly warmer temperatures to really project and last long.

I agree with Michael. GIT and Cool Water are similar, but GIT is deeper, fuller, and richer. It's obvious that Cool Water is a cheap counterfeit to the original gentleman's scent, the one that started it all, Green Irish Tweed.
GIT is a lil bit more smooth but any ordinary person will think they smell the same after 10 minutes

Depends. Was it stored properly? That is the big question. At that age the top notes will be gone likely and it may have turned bad.
