Unbelievable performance, just breathtaking in beauty. The whole performance with the orchestra was otherworldly and the new songs were the icing on the cake
The best Smile song in my opinion. Love the accompanying orchestra, really raises the live recording to another level. Thom and Jonny compliment one another but Tom Skinner deserves a mention for his performance too. Sublime!
@@Yourbankaccount Nope he wrote this and open the floodgates during the Atoms for Peace first tour I thought. Or debuted them live anyway. I loved the full band Radiohead version but this is the final form for sure.

Very beautiful and lyrical. I feel "The Smile" is more lyrical than Radiohead and experimental sounds more freely. This is a song that highlights his wonderful voice. The guitar sound is also beautiful. I think Thom Yorke is the person who established that rock is beautiful thing, lyrical, and social.
I think if they can come up with some interesting original tracks they may be popular one day @@abelisraelcruzayuso4682 . They're only just starting out.
It is a well known fact that if your song is not very good you can trick people into thinking you are doing something artsy and deep by misspelling the title. Also this is not a song to be performed live, the falsetto is hard enough to do in the studio (oh dear god just listen to the official recording to hear that) and he's not remotely good enough a singer to pull it off live. He's trying, he's just not succeeding.
I bet the only way you can get hard is by going online to criticize while having accomplished nothing in your life. I see your comments. You have never left a positive one probably ever. You can’t fathom it trying to dispel your poison to try to make your miserable life somehow tolerable. Very sad. Truly. I wish you luck and hope your life improves. It starts with the mindset.
THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER

Utterly incredible, first note to last. I was speechless and I may have cried tears of joy. Those strings, wow.
Jonny can make even the humble barre chord sound as cool as all get out.
This song came out at just the right time in my life.
to me, this song is a prayer... on and under the surface 💛
the fact that they can play in 11/8 this well just shows the talent of these three people.
I hope the full show gets released for those of us who couldn’t watch it

This came out when I had some joyful holidays by the sea. It's now forever linked.
J'adore cette chanson
wow love the strings
Heavenly beautiful!
Man.. the evolution of this song.. from the live Radiohead version a decade plus ago to the piano version to the Smile debut.
Decade ago? This song is from like OKC era
I only heard it from 2011. What version are you talking about?

@@jfmgunner they played it once or twice during the OKC tour, I'm pretty sure
Maybe one of the sweetest song Thom & his friends wrote.
Thom & his friends made my heart burst

Una de mis canciones favoritas!! ❤️❤️
Thom’s vocals are amazing on this song.
I love this song❤
One of Thom's best songs
Too sublime
@ 2:25 Love that part of the track, it’s so beautiful as the strings come in
Can't wait to see them in Glasgow 🎸👍
Can’t wait to Brussels next Friday 😍
Me too. I was in the front row here in Manchester and it was totally incredible. I can't wait to see them again on Friday.
WOW incredible

11/8 🔥 🤯
Thanks. I couldn’t work it out. The closest I got was 5.5/4 so I wasn’t far out 😂
Feels like 4/4 it's crazy
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Imagine Radiohead played with an orchestra! for a special concert like this.. would be amazing.
This song gave my depression a depression. All I can do is smile with a tear. :'-)

Qualquer músicos de radiohead fica perfeito musical 😎👏
Is The Smile before and beyond King Crimson? I'm not a musician, I love KC and TS, am I sad to compare them musically? Love them both

You and me both.
Radiohead w/ a different Rythm section and w/o Ed Obrien's playful sound scapes sounds lovely.
Greenwood is brilliant
4/8 + 4/8 + 3/8 = 11/8

Is this song in 6/4 with a rush at the end of each bar...Cant figure it out
It is in 11/8 indeed, that why it sounds like a 6/4 skipping the last note

I went to the bathroom at the Dublin gig and missed this song :(
too messy. Plus it just feels wrong that this song is not being performed with Radiohead. Maybe I just got demo-fever.
