Would anyone be interested in a Behind The Scenes on this video? I figured since I have a lot of footage and old renders and stuff, I could do a pretty decent BTS on it if anyone is interested.
Thank you! I figured since there was only one shell on the nutcrackers belt before it reloaded, it would make sense for there to only be one shell in the gun.
That ending. If having that situation happen in a game already feels crushingly hopeless i cant imagine how it must be in real life with real stakes and losses.
OH MY GOODNESS HOW ON EARTH DOES THIS ONLY HAVE 3.9K?!?!?!?!? This is literally incredible! The voice acting, the animation, the storyline, and oh my goodness the attention to detail!
This was actually good, and it’s so sad but also incredibly written and animated it is, especially when you can see green lost all hope, not a single line of dialogue, just silence, and a dead man. Excellent stuff! ❤
@@PurpleBan dam, that’s unfortunate, keep up the good work this was incredible, and you got some seriously good talent. If your open to suggestions, I’d love to see another animation but for the outside, maybe smth like with the tree giant on rend or march, that would be cool. Ngl you’re seriously underrated!
@@BruhMoment27917 I already had somewhat of a plan for my next animation, but since you're the second person to ask for a forest giant one, I might consider that instead.
4:07 now that Black Ops 6 is out.... anyone else hearing it in their head? "Tear them to pieces!" It lives rent free in my head whenever i hear that sound lol
The choice of the angles was a cinema level bro just like the lighting, congrats about your work, I'm stunned, a thing that can be worked on is timing of the scenes, amazing job, what a talent
Wow, I really appreciate that so much. It means a lot that my first film-like animation is considered cinematic. I usually just use what feels right to get good angles and shots, and I guess it works!
There were so many moments where I would rewind and watch over certain parts because they were so satisfying. The elegance in the grabbing of the stop sign at 2:07 comes to mind. There was so much tension towards the end, and the storytelling was simply brilliant. Bravo!
This is amazing! I love the sound design and the character models. Keep up the good work! It would be great to see more Lethal Company animations from you :)
Thanks! I feel like people often disregard the effort put into the sound design of stuff. Also, just so you know, I did not model the characters, but I did model everything else. And since the positive reception, I am thinking about making more of these. It would take quite a while though.
I suppose. It's just that I saw that animation, and I loved it so much that I wanted to make something like that for my first animation. It is different in some ways, both the employees die in different ways, the orange one wasn't even there when the whole Nutcracker scene happened. And everything past the argument is new. The creator of that original animation (TheBayG) has commented on this video, giving his thoughts.
Incredible animation and story telling. If lethal company was real life, it probably would be like this, nothing funny about it if there was real stakes. Never thought about it before like that.
Thanks a lot, that's really what I was going for. The situations you get into in the game would just be absolutely harrowing in real life. I shall aim for more of this in future animations.
This was an absolutely amazing short animated film! I felt genuine emotion while watching this. my expectations were low, but you really blew me out of the park with this video. I really like the music, paired with the character's emotions, it felt relatable, it felt like I was watching something that felt real, like a scenario I could see happening in a similar situation in real life... almost. You got some real talent, all you got to do now is keep going, keep making, and most importantly, keep enjoying the journey my man.
Thanks for the in-depth comment and all your compliments! I love that this really made you feel how I wanted it to! I'll make more in the future and try to live up to this one, I'm just gonna take a small break before that though, as I spent 2 and a half months non-stop working on this.
Damn brodie this is epic! And the sadness i felt once he stepped on that landmine, guessing he felt bad about his friend in the end😢. Well done mate!🙌🏻
yo, as someone who doesnt feel empathy towards fictional media, i cant lie and say i felt 'bad' about the ending, but this film is still amazing man. i have played so much of this game and all i can say is great work.
Some great stuff dude keep it up. Making art is a long process but I don't think there is anything more rewarding then putting yourself out there with ART. Great work
that was actually very well done i will even go as far as to say some aspects were better than mine and you made changes that actually added something and weren't there to just, differentiate from mine? i guess? also thank you for making my nutcracker actually look good when rendered
Thanks so much It means a lot coming from the person who made the animation that inspired this, especially since this is my first proper animation. I loved your animation and wanted to make something in the same vein for my first. Also your nutcracker model is fire btw

There are like 2 other comments saying pretty much the same thing as yours, so please try to see if what you're saying has already been said or not.
I still can't get over how all the monsters in Lethal Company are creatures and beast, a fleet of giant rouge robots that can decimate the landscape, haunted stuff like ghost and possession. And then you got the nutcracker coming at you with a feking shotgun. 1:42 that right there is what really makes the nutcracker terrifying. When you are going with somebody else or a group and all you hear in the distance is: maybe a panicked yell, gunshots, and then the squeaking of boots as it comes for you next.
Would anyone be interested in a Behind The Scenes on this video?
I figured since I have a lot of footage and old renders and stuff, I could do a pretty decent BTS on it if anyone is interested.
Yes! that would be cool!
Sure
Absolutely!
I would thoroughly enjoy this
Yeah
I'm impressed with the shotgun bit that a lot of people end to overlook, with there being two triggers!
Thank you! I figured since there was only one shell on the nutcrackers belt before it reloaded, it would make sense for there to only be one shell in the gun.
good ending version of the nutcracker short?
True, I have seen the shotgun to be double pull, light pull is for 1st shot and stonger pull is for 2nd or both if the game had such mechanic
Dine is the perfect moon for dying. I don't make the rules, it's been like this since the game released.
the ending is so sad, really great film
"the one crewmate that was afk in the ship watching the map" 😶
This is how games should be adapted into TV. I would watch this as a TV Show. Keep doing what you do best
I am planning on making another. Just not not quite yet.

The little HUD on the helmets is really cool. And the music choice is awesome
A good way of showing the Nutcrackers as a sort of guard and not A.I monster with ambit and the ability to sometimes shoot through walls.

The most peaceful DINE run.
Horrifying, depressing, and extremely well done! Just as a Lethal Company short film should be
Its really surprising how little attention this animation has gotten, you're stupidly underrated man! Great job!

idk why but Clair de lune just fits a mansion on dine so well
