Lomu scored as many tries with this speed, step and swerve as he did with pure brute force. He was an incredible player. God I wish that someday someone invents something that can make a person young again. I'd kill to watch Lomu in his prime again.

One of the most incredible players to ever run with a ball, run for the line, and run through anybody that was brave enough to attempt to stop him reaching it. And a good bloke who overcame a lot of adversity to boot. It takes a very special player to be a king amongst All-Blacks.

I have never seen such a big sportsmen in my life. It's including all the idols nowadays in tennis, football, handball, waterball, volleyball, rugby, golf, etc. I think he is the man of the XXth century, really. As more as I can watch him again, he is more an idol of me.Just incredible guy. I'm a very lucky man, that I have seen him on the TV by LIVE. He was like an outstanding parson on the courts. Poor England had absolutely no chance. Sorry. Thta WC was one of my best moment in my life. All Blacks team was equal to the Earth Team really......

Excellent, Lomu was Power, Speed and Skill. I remember watching Auck play Counties in the early days, Lomu was a rising star Kirwan was on his way out, and the two literally cancelled each other out, two different type players, both AB legends.
Same thing happened in a AB trial in the 90s I think aswell. I miss Lomu, his carreer was way too short! Thanks for the vid!!!

Just wanted to say, there was an annotation saying that a winger on the other team was scared, but what he was doing was a tactical move that a defensive player uses in a two on one situation where you run backwards waiting for either support from your team or for the offensive player to pass it to make a one on one, because giving up twenty yards is better than giving up a try

For those who are just being introduced to Jonah Lomu. To get an idea of how good this man is:
"He is a freak, and the sooner he leaves rugby the better.” Those were the words of England captain Will Carling, after watching the 20 year old Jonah Lomu dismantle his England side, in the semi-final of the 1995 World Cup. -Article by Captain Fantabulous (bleacherreport.(COM))
He was offered a 20 million dollar contract with the Dallas Cowboys even though he had never played american football.
