I'm 48 and I have been a fan since the 70s, and I love this movie. So strong and Luke's story arc is AMAZING - However, that said I do think part of the 'dislike' is we never got to really see Luke be a "GREAT JEDI" - but that's not a issue with this film, its more about 'what we missed' in the 30 years between Return Of The Jedi and The Force Awakens. However, now with 28 year old Luke in the TV series The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett (5 years after Return Of The Jedi) they will be continue to fill in the 25 years before The Force Awakens, including the training of Ben Solo (Kylo Ren) - We already got to see Luke's droids build the Jedi temple (in the Boba Fett series) that Ben Solo eventually destroys 6 years before The Force Awakens when Ben turns into Kylo Ren. Some other series have also been filling in the 3 years between Ep 2,3 and the 19 years between 3 and 4

Your channel has come a long way from when I first found you guys, I normally take a picture of the amount of subscribers someone/people have when I find a new channel so I can remember where they were when I found them, and I found the picture, I was subscriber number 9 when I found you guys, and now there's 850+ creeping up on 1000 😊

FYI, Mark Hamill himself said that Luke was behaving out of character in this movie.

But Mark Hamill is also just an actor. His opinion isn't the right one just because he's the one who portrayed the character.

Everyone who points out this always forgets to mention that he said that once he saw the complete movie, he understood the way the character is better

@@theunknownuser9609 Yeah, that's a huge problem. Many people only use Mark's Interview footage from before the film even came out and before he saw it himself. Mark said that the understood Luke after watching it. Is it his favorite depiction? Of course not. But he doesn't hate it.
