Rob Lowe is actually a genuinely cool human being for bringing attention to this cringe on JRE this week. Most of us wouldn't even have known it existed.
Other than it being a tad on the cringe side, I don’t see how it’s DISASTROUS. The way they described it on Joe Rogan, I thought Rob forgot lyrics to the song or something 😅
Imagine you're him in 87. You're one of the coolest hottest dudes in the world. Then imagine you just did this thing. Then the next week half a billion people talk about how stupid it was. Also keep in mind a lot of the applause is piped in, and you can see in a couple glimpses of the audience, his peers visually display how uncool they ALSO think it is (something he can see from his vantage point better than us). Then the host of the show casually rips on it. To add a little bit more embarrassment, he also beefs on his vocals for a moment in the beginning. All those ingredients make it a bomb to him, by participating in it.
Cyd Charisse was 68 and still looked and moved like a champ. More than can be said of the other vets tottering round the Cocoanut Grove set. Fancy Coral Browne letting herself be inveigled into this gruesome parade. Merv Griffin had nothing to do with Hollywood in its prime, but at least singing the Freed & Brown standard, 'You Are My Lucky Star', acknowledges the industry's musical heritage and its greatest dancer, Eleanor Powell.
Seconded... Awkward, cringe worthy in a couple of spots, Rob shouldn't quit his day job for singing, agreed, but where is the bomb? I'm not gay, but Rob's lack of singing, well, he makes up for with that jarringly, angelic face, UNLIKE that Snow White.
Joe Rogans Podcast with Rob Lowe brought me here.
Did the Lord s work with uploading this from Hollywood Reporter
Good work
Haha! Same... cheers!
Anybody else here from the joe Rogan podcast??
I'd be more surprised if anyone wasn't.
i mean, he uploaded the video specifically because of the episode...
I don't see why anyone would actively search for this video if it wasn't for JRE podcast. Rob didn't perform as bad as he felt he did though.
Lol yup
All of us
At that time, I was 17 years old and, honestly, I thought it was one of the best Oscar openings ever!
I feel like Rob Lowe trolled us into watching his performance. That wasn't a bomb at all.
yeah I was expecting something like The Situation's part on Donald Trump's comedy central roast
So true 😏
Agreed. Cheesy but not a bomb

Rob Lowe brought me here...but, I don't see the problem.
I mean, he's not a professional singer, but he did what he needed to do!
😂 LOL 07.44 Robert Downey Jr's face!!! 👍
Rob Lowe doesn't know what bombing means. He did fine. I can see this being a scene in an animated movie. It's quite nice.
Really wasnt as bad as i thought itd be...
According to 2024 standards it’s pretty good.
Other than this just being weird, its not bad. Snow white scared my kids though...
at 1:17 tom hanks was probably like wtf is happening
If anyone bombed, it was the woman playing Snow White.
Anyone else here after watching Rob Lowe on Joe Rogan?
Rob looks like a hella good guy tho
I didnt get it where did he bomb at?

I've seen comics bomb so hard they pissed on stage and cried at a small club outside of DC in the 90s. THIS is nothing.

Thought it was going to be bad, read the comments, thought it wasn't going to be that bad, watched it....it was pretty bad.

Joe Rogan Experience brought me here.
And I don't see what the big deal is, I actually liked it a lot! :O
going on with the podcast now
This was actually pretty great until Rob Lowe...
Compared to what we get today, this is not bad; highly disjointed, Rob's not much of a singer, but not that horrible.
