Bit late to the party but here in Australia, that is a hibiscus plant known as the Rosella Hibiscus. We make them into tea, jam and use them to flavour sparkling wine. I’ve got one growing in my yard and a jar of the flowers to make drinks with. The flowers “bloom” in the bottom of wine flutes whilst releasing a red syrup into the drink.

I'm in the Caribbean....Trinidad and Tobago to be exact and I love all your videos . I watch every day.... you and your family and dawang of course 😊. We call this sorrel here and it's used a lot for drinking especially during Christmas. I've seen a lot of things we cook with here that you use also . Its fascinating... much love Penjie keep the beautiful videos coming ❤
In Jamaica, we call it 'sorrel'. And it's typically made into a drink with ginger and sometimes a little rum and consumed during the Christmas period. It's best when you have it with some fruit cake 😋
@@_Kumamori_ wait for real? I honestly used to think these flowers were indigenous or something. It's kinda cool to see people from all over the world enjoying them. Cheers to Spain
