Warning (please upvote this comment): YOU CANNOT FOLLOW THIS METHOD FOR HS75 even though the website says you can. The battery housing is much more complex. Also the battery in the hs75 is soldered
Great Vid, easy to follow. swapping polarity was a little tricky. At testing, ICUE software remained unable to recognize the battery. The Charging indicator remained Red and panic set in since this is what the old dead battery status was. checked all connections, went inside pc to verify everything. all ok. so to the forums i went. Someone indicated a hold down for 10secs on the power button clears the software. So sure enough, it worked and all is fine. Charging and working Great.
You're doing gods work man. Saved me the hassle of thinking i should replace the headset entirely haha😅 this is what i get for leaving the headset to charge overnight excessively for multiple nights
I've been looking for a tutorial like this for MONTHS. Thank you kind sir, for demonstrating precisely what needs to be done, this will save me another 80 euros!

I then payed attention to the video and it worked like magic.. thank you so much, you resuscitated my beloved headphones
Thanks for the video! FYI: if the light blinks Red and Amber it means the battery is not connected properly. Once properly connected it is solid amber while charging.
Mine's even worse. My headset lasts for only 30min on full charge. Loved the times when the battery was holding up for a whole day and some change more.

It was very helpful for me. I've just changed my HS70 Pro battery. Battery was very sticky to the body, I needed to use plastic trim remover. I inserted the trim remover from side of the battery from right side and twisted the trim remover and battery came up easily. If you use screw driver it can damage battery.

Hello, thanks for reaching out. The connector on the battery might not be compatible, they’re not all the same. It’s important to get the right battery with the right connector, if not you can damage your headset.
I have a question about the cable from the battery to the chipboard at 1:45. It seems like I have no connector to my battery, but it has been soldered stuck to the chipboard. Would it still be possible to replace the battery?
I just did mine. Clipped the plug off the new bat, carefully soldered them in place. I have a slight feedback hum though. Only notice it when nothing is playing. Feel like I remember it from before but haven't used these in months so I can't fully recall if the HS70 just normally has a power hum or if I crossed something

Is it a bad idea to heat up the adhesive under the battery so that it is easier to removed and possibly keep some adhesive on the case? also is there a possible way to make the charging usb-c without major problems?
Thanks for the video, replacing it was very easy. I do notice something weird though, while the duration overall is definitely longer, the iCUE and other third party apps always report the battery level at 86% or so every time I unplug them after charging. My guess is that it has something to do with the firmware being programmed for the original battery size, is there anything else to do here other than the physical replacement?
Hello, thanks for your question. If the battery life is longer and everything is working as it should then let it be. Honestly, we couldn’t tell you 100% why the 86% is showing on 3rd party apps.

@@CentralSound I didn't notice that my headset is the non pro hs70 wireless 😅 I just cut the wires of the inflated battery and with electrical tape connected the new one haha
Yeah, the HS70 normal (non-pro) version is like that. I have both at home (pro is mine and "normal" one is my husband's) and opened them to try to exchange the batteries cause my pro battery has been dead for months and my husband has another headset and is not using his "normal" anymore. Nasty surprise. Even the battery capacity and tension are the same, it's ridiculous that the said pro version does not carry any improvement on that... it's barely better just for its ease in swapping batteries. Oh and my pro original battery is swollen like it's about to pop 4 babies out of it (of course it's not going back in my headset). And it came directly from Corsair RMA to replace my HS70 normal. Total bummer.
Hello Marina, thanks for weighing in by sharing your experience with both the HS70 PRO and HS70 versions. Your feedback and insight is extremely helpful 💯...Watch out for battery babies, those are dangerous 😧
@@marinaborgert Is there any way to replace those batteries? Because I have the exact same problem with the HS70s.. The thing basically stopped working and the battery was also 4/5 times its size.
@@jodawgsup You have to clip the plug from the new battery, and the wire from the old one and solder the leftover wires and the new battery wires together. I wouldn't touch the solder directly on the board as some of the wires looks just too delicate to mess with them. For me at least, it went easier working with the wires only. I'm through with my 2nd battery change by now, altought I swapped for 1200mAh versions. All working fine.

You're welcome!
i was way over thinking this lo
My hs75 xb headset just died and won't turn on with no charge light I bet this is why.
Anybody here have experience fixing corsair HS50 and HS70 pro wireless? Do they have the same pcb? Broke my hs70 pro volume wheel and I have an old hs50 laying around. I dismantled it and having trouble finding a layout of the hs70 pro wireless online. Do they look the same for those who have fixed and hs70 pro wireless before?
Thanks so much!
love u my bruuthaa
Thank you v much
My battery is soldered to the little pcb 😢
What model do you have?
@@CentralSound I didn't notice that my headset is the non pro hs70 wireless 😅 I just cut the wires of the inflated battery and with electrical tape connected the new one haha

Took mine apart and the battery was soldered straight to the board along with some teeny tiny wires running to the other side, thanks corsair
Hello, oh no, what model do you have ? We may have a battery that will work for that.
Awesome video , Thank you very much!
