Quiñones and Antuna didn’t do shit, and I think Alvarado and Chucky are better passers IMO, and would’ve fed Santi easier and BETTER chances (preferably at his feet) than trying to just lob shit onto challenged headers.

I think we made it too comfortable for Mexican players coming back to Liga MX instead of grinding into Europe let’s face it. A lot of the money comes from us. México hasn't played with balls since 2007. Sure, they beat Germany in 2018, but it was a German team in shambles. Against the Netherlands it was only 50 mins of solid football and Piojo parked the bus like a bitch the rest of the game which costed México. Say what you want but México have been on downfall after the 2007 Copa América back then actually put up solid preformances against top teams in form and didn't get humiliated 7-0, 4-1, 3-0, 4-0 or depend on referees to win tinpot cups (2015 copa oro).
What happened gold cup 2007 they lost to papa USA 😂. The real decline was after world cup 2006 when they didn't renew lavolpe after world cup 2006. Copa america 2007 they lost to their other papa argentina 3-0 in semis😂😂

Mexico under lavolpe paso caminando qualify for World Cup. 2003 won gold cup beating Brazil in group stage and in the finals. 2005 did a good confederations and had them ranked top 10 in the rankings. With Hugo Sanchez he promised gold cup and lost to USA in friendly and the finals in 2007 with the A squad and Copa America unti semis .once Argentina scored 3 goal Mexico just folded like always once shit hit the fan they always fold. The 3rd place in copa America would’ve meant more if we wouldn’t have lost that badly to Argentina tbh. It’s just my opinion. Looking in hindsight from that time uraguay got 4th place in 2007 copa America but in the future semis in 2010 World Cup, champs in 2011 copa America etc.
