do you predrill holes with a drill bit before screwing the wood together? Does it matter
Mdf is tricky for that, for example with construction screws I do. For some you predrill and it doesn’t get a good bite, depends on the screw and wood
Trying to build a box for a 98 mustang gt. First attempt at a box. Been trying to start on it for months.. I have a ds18 genZ 15 and I want the box to be under 14 inches tall. 34 wide 24 deap.. sub up port back.. can u help me with a idea?? Thanks bro

I’ve used bondo too, i like wood filler cuz its quicker and don’t have to mix
@@mikessplboxes7497 true I see that thec2 parts taking longer. You use texture paint I wS thinking of trying krylon stone texture in charcoal or obsidian than clear coating over that. Using spray paint you primer first on mdf. If using g plywood I guess you cN stain it. The paint you used looks textured charcoal color that's why I mentioned it. Thanks man.

You don't use primer on wood ever.. primer is primarily for metals. You can and should use the adhesion promoter primer and I personally like how the black lacquer turns out like glass. That or the triple thick glaze stuff from Walmart is pretty amazing on wood with grain. My black lacquer paint job is so glossy and I swear it resonates sound so much better but just my opinion. 3rd box I've ever built all in a month time frame and it's insanely impressive for a single 15 xfl.
@@patrickwilliams5135 should use a latex sealer or something like that on MDF so it doesn't absorb the solvents in the paint and stink forever
