This bag is still my Briefcase after I moved down from the XL classic briefcase that was 12 years old and served me well. I use the simple backpack weekdays with my work stuff and use it weekends for fun stuff! Love every saddleback product I own! (Many, lol)

The dark coffee brown looks lovely! It has a much more polished look than the tobacco, which has a more rugged look. I loved this video. Thanks so much for this!

Thank you for doing this review as I have been torn between the Squared and Simple Backpack. This video has helped me in my decision process. I really wanted the Squared but have chosen to go with the Simple Backpack. You discus several elements that I was concerned about like flexibility, actual size, usage of the Mac Book 11", I chose the tobacco. Once again thanks so much because you even gave me the idea to look on Pinterest to see what the bag may look like after regular use. Please post an updated video. I get it.......! I could give a detailed review on my large Classic Briefcase. I carry mine like a backpack. My wife has a Love 41 Tote. Wherever we go, we are stopped and asked where we got these amazing bags. I look forward to getting additional Saddleback products.

HI, I'm really loving this bag but one of the concern I have is what if you drop your bag and it landed top? Any of your stuffs fall out? Small stuff like keys? And how well does the cinch works? It looks really loose. THANKS!!!
Hello. I'm considering purchasing the simple backpack but I'm a little concerned with the size. I understand that the medium is larger than it seems and can fit quite a bit, but in terms of height, how does it compare to other backpacks? It seems to me that the height makes the bag look a little short when carrying it. I'm 5'7 and have a thin frame. Do you think the large size would be better for me?
I would consider the medium. The large flap makes the bag capable of holding more and appearing much taller simply by adjusting where it closes. On the very last hole of the closure you can add several inches of height on the bag. Hope that makes sense. I really do feel the size of this bag is comparable to other regular size and even large size bags. The capacity of it is astounding!

Do you think the large size is too much for a daily bag?
I think it depends on what you carry, and your frame. I know my husband, who is 6'2" is looking into the large front pocket style for himself.
