Think about it, if YOU were WHEELER what could possibly prevent you from wanting to pitch game 5 the closing game of the World Series at HOME on NORMAL REST no less??? If it were me, and I'm sure I'm speaking for the majority when I say NOTHING could take this chance from me!!! After all, I would much rather have a "B grade" Wheeler-Suarez-Nola in games 5,6 & 7 as opposed to any BULLPEN GAME which is what Game 5 is currently slated for!!! Dusty made a big decision alright! I think he deliberately gave this game away so that the Astros could win in Houston. It certainly WAS a big gamble leaving McCullers in to pitch when the Astros were losing, but Dusty had to have his team lose in order to take Game 6 to their home stadium of fans, and it worked.

  • @Kelvinllovejr

As much and things suck from an Astros fan perspective. The Phillies did a great job of playing analytical baseball last night. They played chess while we played checkers. Dusty had no reason to leave McCullers in as long as he did. I mean just for the sake of not being blown out 7-0. Save some runs homie. 3-0 or 4-0 is way better than 7-0
