Where do you put the adjectives for “ an old small brown car”? Is it “une vieux petite voiture marron”? Merci

The adjectives "other" (autre[s]) and "same" (même[s]) are also always placed before a noun: "même" placed before a noun is "same", and when placed after a noun is "very". Also, there are other adjectives that go before a noun that have a special form used for masculine singular nouns that begin with a vowel sound: beau, fou, mou, nouveau, and vieux. The special forms for these adjectives homophonically sound like the feminine singular counterparts: belle, folle, molle, nouvelle, and vieille, where the last "le" ending is dropped from these forms to form the version used for masculine singular nouns that start with a vowel sound. The plural versions are still beaux, fous, mous, nouveaux, and vieux for masculine nouns and belles, folles, molles, nouvelles and vieilles for feminine nouns.

Well, how do you explain the word "laide"? It describes beauty but the adjectives doesn't follow your rule(BAGS).

I've been wondering about numbers as in quantity : Il y trois chiens. Or I'll y chiens trois. Que est correct?
Il y a trois chiens. "trois" n'est pas un adjectif, "troisième" oui mais pas "trois". Tu peux dire: "J'ai un troisième chien" = I have a third dog.
"Trois n'est pas un adjectif" ? Je ne comprend pas....
Pardon James, je me suis mal exprimée. Trois est un adjectif, mais pas comme troisième. Ils sont proches bien sûr mais ne veulent pas exactement dire la même chose. Et oui, trois, comme troisième, se situe avant le nom :-)

so why does "Un garçon laid" follow a different rule than "Un vilain garçon"
