I agree bhr coils made a huge difference it was like a lightweight flywheel versus a stock flywheel totally disagree cats are better than dogs and yes every car I have doesn't have a catalytic converter except for my wives
I run them on our endurance race car. Its just one less thing I have to worry about failing honestly. I wish BHR made more stuff, I love there reliability which means one less thing I got to worry about in a 24 hour race.
That's the coils I have. Runs like a champ! OE coils were replaced at 45k by last owner and had lots of carbon in the engine! Cat was clean though. I'm planning Clean Oil Feed. Family and work prevents me from measure oil pressure TO the first OMP. Can you please take a measurement of it? Right from the block to first OMP. There is a restrictor by factory to reduce the oil pressure.
Now I'm worried... Lol I have the same coils in my car the ones you took off . My s1 gets with 99,000 19.8 mpg also!! all freeway some traffic lots of hills about 70 75 one way about 40 too 65 other way. One or two mild carbon cleans ( redlines) if I slow down I bet it would go up but I just can't drive that long that slow. Car has no meow stock exhaust bhr coils k+n in box 6 speed
mine had a K&N intake when I bought it and was one of the first things to come out. I saw and felt immediate improvement with a stock box back on but that only stayed on while I was still in Texas, now I have the Mazdaspeed intake (same as AEM) and it’s better (plus a lot of free space)
definitely worth every penny (or maple leaf). I've used these every day since installing without a single issue and have only changed plugs every 7,000-9,000 miles whena small misfire happens (normal when premixing) and changed plug wires maybe twice only because I felt like it I have maybe 50,000+ miles with them on now
rx8 daily driver here with 165k on og motor :) still runs strong
S1 or S2?
Miles or km?
BHR ignition kit has been the best upgrade so far. That and no cat
I agree, dogs are much better than cats

cats are pussies tho
@@NateRist 😂 hahaH
Are there any real difference between new 100C coils and BHR?

Gotta tune ignition dwell timing to get the most out of them. Those bad boys can handle a 85% duty cycle!
Theres a video that BHR put out saying that you dont need to with the new coils

Oh those our the new one's!!! Freaking sweet
I daily drive my 2009! I put 30,000 miles on last year! Mpg maters!
I daily drive my 09 rx8 and am getting terrible gas mileage i think I need new a new coil kit. Great video
Are these better than the Bennett built ones?
Imo I would say they are

might see some improvement with either a stock intake or AEM intake. the K&N is just sucking in hot engine bay air so you’re down on power

🔥 from cat delete or street porting?
there’s no benefit to porting a Renesis
The fireballs are just from having a free flowing exhaust and just shoots flames after redlining and decel
@@NateRist yes
@@NateRist porting the exhaust, yes. Utilizing a turbo on a Renesis is able to be done as well.

@@NateRist cool. Thanks for the info.. I've just noticed. They don't ship to Canada 😒😒😒.. I can't seem to find any that ship here..
@@NateRist I ended up pulling the trigger...I should be getting them next week... 😁
@@tankconnors7323I'm from Québec and I want to buy these coils. What should I expect for shipping fees?
