One of the most outstanding attractions in Prague is the rotating head of Franz Kafka, an outdoor sculpture that is more of a technical wonder. The work of art is part of the Quadrio shopping and office complex on Národní třída (Národní třída is one of the most important avenues in Prague - on November 17, 1989, riot police violently suppressed here a peaceful student demonstration, which is thought as the initiation of Velvet Revolution) created by the controversial artist David Černý. It was created in 2014, consists of 40 layers of polished stainless steel, motors, electronics, is 10.6 meters tall and weighs 39 tonnes.
