- Bakken, also known as Dyrehavsbakken, is the oldest amusement park in the world, dating back to the year of 1583.
Although it can't be felt that it's from the 16th Century, it does have lots of classic charm and old-fashioned Danish style, as well as classic rides from small carousels to large roller coasters, many of which remind of those you'd find at a travelling carnival.

Technically, Bakken has only been an amusement park since the turn of the century. It's more accurate to say Bakken has been open as a _fairground_ since 1583. Like community green-space/wild west main street situation.
