Lol I have to agree with you there, I almost fell asleep midway through. It was pretty disappointing we didnt see much action throughout the pack. Great to see Danny Ric have his groove back tho.
I’ve looked at a dozen videos of this move and yours is the only one that shows the full dive from the back straight and all the way through corners 3 and 4. Plus the camera is focused, steady, and locked on the target. Well done! Really well done!! 👍
It’s also the only one that I’ve seen that provides an accurate view of the acute angles and how tight those corners are - which is what rather defines the immensity of the event. The network shots, while many and diverse, give the impression of a much more oblate spheroid, a bit squashed perhaps, but otherwise, a roundish track with extended straights…. Whereas this view offers a much more holistic perspective, it’s a couple quarter mile drag strips, connected at the ends 🤪 That must have been a heckuva wild ride. 😳
That is an incredible video. It really shows the bizarre speed he was able to carry into turns 3 and 4. That is one of the most incredible moments in sports history.
I think maybe it was cause the sound of the cars will drown out pretty much everything so I’m sure people were going crazy but we just couldn’t hear it. I know me and my dad were going insane screaming when that happened
It’s funny to me because lately I’ve been more interested in Formula One than NASCAR, but this one move was definitely the motorsports highlight of the week, no, the entire year!
@@somguy728 Don't be knocking on AJ or mocking anyone extoling his genius or you are parading your ignorance of racing. He was Chastain cubed as a racer, Ross Chastain and anyone racing in NASCAR today can't hold a candle to him. One year when his Indy car didn't show up in time for the Milwaukee Mile he literally took his dirt track car, a sprint car, put pavement tires on it, somehow figured out a setup that would work, and qualified on the pole against rear-engined Indy cars. He got second in the race and would've won had the gas tank not been so small he had to make an extra pit stop. AJ did things that were simply unbelievable. He could race anything. He was a genius. He was Tony Stewart, only better. You should spend more time learning about racing history and less time making snotty, ignorant little boy comments.
It looks so unreal because while everyone is braking in turn three, he’s accelerating and let’s the wall contain him. Haven’t seen anything this good since Billy Pauch won 4 races in one night at Flemington!
Haha, the old guy at the end with the blonde ponytail completely missed it whilst looking at his phone! The look of bemusement when he realises something just went down is priceless!
Ross looked very menacing driving THAT FAST through the corner, especially when he passed the camera. Literally the first time I've ever seen something like this irl
I like watching the people in the stands. Some in shock some have no idea they were there but missed the greatest move in the history of motorsports watching the leader.
that crowd did not deserve to witness probably the greatest moment in motorsports history. that shit was amazing and everyone looked like they didnt even know what lap it was.
This will spawn a new era in race car design, where all the cars are equipped with "sliders" down the right side....called "Ross Rails." (I'm trademarking that!!) That maneuver will be called "railing it."
lol been watching nascar since the 1993 season and this looks so surreal. definitely on the mount rushmore of best moves ever on the track. good luck chastain! hope he wins the championship now.
considering the cars are tougher this year.....that was an unbeleivable ride along the wall.....last years cars they would have just torn up....creative and extremely lucky.....hamlin is suck a jerk, he could have smiled and said something nice about that move.......BUT NO....not denny's way....enjoyed the boos he received though
Coming from an F1 fan, this 35 second clip was far more entertaining than the entirety of the Mexican Grand Prix that happened today.
Agreed.
That Grand Prix was shit. This piece of footage alone was more exciting than the best gran prix of the year
Lol I have to agree with you there, I almost fell asleep midway through. It was pretty disappointing we didnt see much action throughout the pack. Great to see Danny Ric have his groove back tho.
Watch other motor sports!!! You will never want to watch another F1 race. Plus the fan base for nascar and especially Indycar are less toxic
Stop with these idiotic comparison comments. All motorsports have boring races and exciting races. You can't expect drama all the time.
One of the best moments in racing I’ve seen in a long time!!
Whatever they’re paying him to drive, it’s not enough.
I think his ride was sketchy next year.
@@jakerazmataz852 Well Jake, you should stop thinking...cause thinking is really not working for you...just saying...
Lol, an accidental accrleracers reference lol
They shouldn't, how are they gonna fix the car then?

It doesn't matter how many times I watch this move it still doesn't look real
Dude it looks so fake it’s insane
I yelled that out when he got to the line... so crazy
Looks like iRacing.
Watched it a hundred times… I’m still baffled
@@MrJay84b gonna try this on iRacing tonight, lol.
the fans crack me up, they weren't watching they were watching the leaders
Those that saw it watched in awe as if a meteor was head straight to earth haha!
To be fair there are a lot of cars quite close to each other.
Some old man at the end his face kills me

The TV network showed a much better view of it multiple times.
TThanks for posting this, He looks like he hits a speed boost. It is absolutely awesome
We are in the Matrix, he pushed pass the limits, and the matrix got corrupted
I've watched that lap about 40 times already and still can't believe it.
Bro said ❔️📦 = 🍄

I like how the people that noticed it are like, "did he really?"
That is an incredible video. It really shows the bizarre speed he was able to carry into turns 3 and 4. That is one of the most incredible moments in sports history.
Thank you for capturing the most glorious finish for a driver that did not win the race. I can’t stop watching! Love it!
Chastain just went full Stroker Ace / Ricky Bobby mode . . . . in real life. Respect.
Had his dander up for sure.
I never realized how great of a track this is from a fan standpoint! You can see the whole track
coolest shit ive ever saw. hope they end up getting the championship
I mean wth people. That was the most amazing thing seen at a track and u don’t go nuts???
My buddies and I were screaming at the top of our lungs when he made that move and none of us are really Chastain fans, absolutely incredible move.
I think maybe it was cause the sound of the cars will drown out pretty much everything so I’m sure people were going crazy but we just couldn’t hear it. I know me and my dad were going insane screaming when that happened
That is so amazing! I really looks fake on just how fast Ross was going! Thanks!!
"Ross never touched the wall unless he wants to"
"And that Veteran never see it coming"
It’s funny to me because lately I’ve been more interested in Formula One than NASCAR, but this one move was definitely the motorsports highlight of the week, no, the entire year!
absolutely a "just fucking send it" move that would get you heavily penalized in F1 and send all the fans into an indignant rage
@@dietcoke759 I'm a huge F1 fan. You couldn't even attempt that without breaking the suspension in F1. Haha
Such an amazing shot. This clip will be shared by nascar fans for the next 60+ years. Amazing
He ran over a mushroom
Chastain to Pit "I'm going to use the slingshot maneuver"
Pit to Chastain ' The what maneuver?"
Pit "Holy Shit!!!"
All gas. no brakes.
this deserves a million views.
The legendary AJ Foyt has used that move way back in the day.
Yea - the older I get, the faster I was.

He was going 130 mph when his car quit recording. Everyone else was doing ~61 mph in that turn.
This is one of the best captures of Chastains move on the internet. Thanks for posting!
Best angle yet! The speed difference is just like a video game lol
NASCAR driver discovers the only thing faster than turning left is not turning at all
History on camera
Absolutely nuts. I live only an hour from there...wish I decided to go to the race lol.
Dinoco’s ALL MINE!
- Ross Chastain
I feel like I'm part of the crowd at Martinsville Speedway for watching Ross Chastain last move by passing Denny Hamlin on the final lap of the rave.
I’ll watch this a hundred
More times!!🎃
Looks like something right out of a 2000s racing movie.
Days of Thunder, 1990
Haha, the old guy at the end with the blonde ponytail completely missed it whilst looking at his phone! The look of bemusement when he realises something just went down is priceless!
That's the best clip yet for the sense of speed and time he made up 😎
The laugh at the end, classic! 😂
The one dope with the blue hat and pony tail looking at his phone as the single greatest moment in NASCAR history unfolds in front of him.
It looks so sped up. What a great video thanks for uploading
that was crazy
The coolest thing I’ve ever seen!
You got a better angle than the TV cameras. Nice one, buddy!
Ross looked very menacing driving THAT FAST through the corner, especially when he passed the camera. Literally the first time I've ever seen something like this irl
You got a good angle on that move. Props to your camerawork.
The absolute best racing move I have ever seen in my life, Brilliant!!!
Absolutely amazing I was in turn two when this happened and it looked like he pulled this straight out of the video game
I realized what he needed to do I knew Christopher Bell was going to win on fresher tires I just focused all on Ross in those closing laps
Awesome! 🏁👍
I prefer F1 over NASCAR, but this is hands down the best motor racing clip this year so far.
shoutouts to the guy in utter disbelief yelling "OH MY WHAT? HOLY CRAP!"
I've watched a bunch of these fan cams, almost no one understands what they witnessed in the moment.
Absolutely incredible!
This has been a long standing move in a game called Wreckfest. Generally reserved for players not good enough to actually race so they ride the wall.
Most awsome position move I have ever seen on as asphalt track! Talk about wreckers or checkers!
I like watching the people in the stands. Some in shock some have no idea they were there but missed the greatest move in the history of motorsports watching the leader.
My new favorite driver 😍 go Ross
Best video yet I've seen of that
Looked like a slot racer!!! Awesome!
Straight out of a PS2 racing game. Good god, I never thought I'd live to see anything like this.
that crowd did not deserve to witness probably the greatest moment in motorsports history. that shit was amazing and everyone looked like they didnt even know what lap it was.
what happen i think peoples still in shock they brain aint functioning right in that moment lol
That’s how you become an overnight legend!
“I’m dropping the hammer Harry!!!”

Absolument magistral ....
Quel inspiration !

Just the fact that nothing caught on the car and he actually slid along it is impressive.
Excellent footage, well done!
Frigging great that's old school nascar loved it
Fantastic angle. Dude was going SO FAST!
That was awesome
This is the best view!! Mind blowing how he did that.
It’s cool to see the fans that recognized what was going on and the ones that were like HUH? I think we all were like HUH first but
