I think u r not aware of other singers like, shabbir kumar, mohd aziz, udit narayan they also not less than sonu nigam. What I am trying to say is, sonu nigam is no doubt a best singer, but he is not the only one. Sonu nigam, udit narayan shabir kumar, mohd aziz they all fall in same category. All have unique style melody so all will give same pleasure in voice but with different melodies.
Ilaiyaraja the legend for music composing. He knows the life of each melody, and symphonies, he could describe a person's feeling through a simple melody. And that's no doubt why A.R RAHMAN is too popular since he's a student of Ilaiyaraja

Sonu Nigam never fails to entertain audience...The only singer in the Bollywood who is always ready 2 perform on stage which shows his preparedness n his control over singing...Really he is one the finest n versatile singer that India has ever produced...It's a shame for Bollywood for not using such a talented artist...It's a loss for all of us...He should be singing songs of good compositions n should be recreating some of the old classics bcz he is able of doing that stuffs...It's sad that Bollywood is ignoring his calibre.

I don’t think there is one person who says Kumar sanu has better range & versatility than Sonu. Sonu can show wide range of expressions & emotions through singing. Only Rafi & Kishore da (in male) had wider range of emotions than him.
