    Your video helped me decide to try this product when I was unsure... I used it about a week ago, exactly as directed, and am really happy with the results. My hair has the opposite problem, stick straight and recently over processed (I even had chemical burn on my scalp). My hair wouldn't hold a style or curl for 3 hours but now it holds a curl and has so much body without any added hair product! I'm loving this product so far. Thanks for your honest review of this.

    Do NOT brush the product through your hair. It says in the bottle directions not to agitate the hair while it is drying or when it has dried. It can cause breakage.

    • @Offflkjhgff
      @Offflkjhgff 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You have to comb through it, but you have to do it while it’s still wet and hasn’t started drying. That’s why it’s best to do it in sections bc once it does start to harden, no you cannot agitate or comb through especially during the heat applying with a dryer

    Aphogee protein should only be used every 6 weeks. This is a strengthening protein conditioner and if used in properly it will cause breakage. It must be used in conjunction with the balancing moisturizing conditioner. I'm a licensed hairstylist and I do use this in the salon.

      Sahira Rodriguez everything your doing is fine just don’t provoke it while it’s hard otherwise it will break. I don’t normally use the balancing conditioner after I use a deep hair mask and keep it on for half an hour.

    Came across your video just to see if there were any DIY videos on this product, (I've been doing it for years). I know it's been some time since you've posted this video, but I wanted to leave some helpful tips (in case you haven't tweeked your method.) Because of the length of your hair, I'd suggest sectioning your hair into two or four parts. This is a good time to detangle. Detangling is a must prior to applying the treatment, so that you can comb thru it before it starts the hardening process. Last tip, a spray bottle for even distribution and saturation. (I just learned that). It drastically cuts down on the messiness. Just make sure to aim directly at your hair. Hope these tips help. God bless.

    You might have better luck detangling with the comb by starting at the ends of your hair and comb little by little going farther up towards your roots only after the ends are tangle free, instead of pulling down with the comb from the middle or top down. You might be adding to the straightening of your ends by using your comb incorrectly. Better yet use your hands or hands with styling gloves on to detangle. Also the vinegar rinse doesn't detox hair, rather it seals the cuticle. Good luck. Your curls are amazing. You might also try Olaplaex.

    Hi. I just saw ur video and I enjoyed it. My question is how much of ur hair fell out when using this product. Recently I bleached my hair ombré. But the guys who did it left it on for too long and my hair has been thinning and falling out since. To make matters worst my dumb ass got talked into making it supposedly look better by doing a bayalage. So needless to say I've been cutting my hair since then. I'm trying to let the color grow out but my hair seems to fall out too much. Does ur hair fall out too. We have similar hair type I think.

    • @Heatherdeyoo
      @Heatherdeyoo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First of all, i'm so sorry your hairdresser did that to your hair :( Honestly girl i'm not a hairdresser but I think right now you shouldn't add any unnecessary chemicals to your hair. No more bleaching! And no more dying! My hair shed just as much as it does when I usually do a wash and go, so not a lot. I think your hair needs to settle right now and have a rest. I would opt for a protective style and to regularly deep condition your hair. I think it needs to breath for a while. Hope that helped xxx

    Actually this treatment is NOTHING LIKE the ORIGINAL ApHogee™ Treatment which was developed in the 1970's by the 'Shampoo Guru' Jheri Redding for his Jhirmack® Professional products line. That product was a Pure Protein lotion with vitamins, minerals and Nucleic Acids that was not available outside the salon until Jhirmack® was sold to International Playtex. (When Victoria Principal hawked them on T.V.) The currant product is OK but a much watered-down version.

    • @aprilhaig326
      @aprilhaig326 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      JimBearOne I remember back in day the original formula. I'm also a hairstylist and I use this in the salon. But people need to be careful with using protein because be it will actually break the hair off if used in properly.

    • @jimbearone
      @jimbearone 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      A good treatment containing an oil complex will soften, restore essential lipids and help hair retain moisture. I recommend a mixture of cold pressed wheatgerm oil, virgin coconut oil, sunflower oil and PEG-40 castor oil as an emulsifier. Apply liberally to damp, freshly washed hair and cover with a plastic cap for 30 mins. then remove cap and If desired, apply heat until most of the water is gone and hair has an 'oily' sheen then, add a few handsfull of warm water to hair and rework into an emulsion then rinse, If needed, shampoo lightly.

      Doesn’t matter it put protein back in your hair so now your hair can retain length and have less breakage. It didn’t do much for my curls either but totally got rid of my split ends which were falling off at the ends and allowed my hair to get longer. Sometimes if you straighten blow dry or put chemicals in your hair too much the curls will not come back unless you cut it. Be patient with it.
