    With such a floody beam like that, It seems like the perfect flash-light for a spot of caving/mine exploration. I like the simple UI too. Thanks for the review, just bought one.

      Yes I can imagine a tight hot-spot would not be such a priority in a caving/mining situation, this light would be useful there.

    Great review. Big light from a small package. Have an older p35. Definitely looking forward to the v3’s delivery

    I have this Fenix flashlight for last couple of months and it's in my personal opinion the best edc flashlight from fenix and one of the best in the market overall 👌 I can truly recommend this one 👍 True torch on turbo, on high, with its wide beam profile it can light up the whole area in front of you and is also far enough for your adventures. I personally use it on medium and its fine for me.
    P. S. Strangely, mine has memory mode, also on turbo, when on fulll battery (green indicator not flashing) 🤔 I have just checked it now, to be sure and I can confirm my "older version" has memory mode.
    Maybe try on different modes aswell.

    • @WildStuff
      @WildStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's odd. I can see several spec lists on various flashlight dealers (including Fenix themselves) claiming it does have mode memory, yet mine does not, regardless of what mode I try it from. I'll see if I can find out more about this and include it in the video description.

      @@WildStuff or some failure on your unit? maybe... Curious how other units of E35 V. 3 works regarding this mode. Anyone have any other experience with this Fenix flashlight?

      @@janvachek I'm finding lots of conflicting information on official Fenix pages about this.
      On fenixlighting.com, "intelligent memory circuit" is clearly listed as a feature in the product description.
      On fenixlight.com, there is no mention at all of mode memory in the product description, yet the downloadable PDF manual clearly states it has "intelligent memory circuit" and it "memorizes the last selected output excluding strobe."
      However, in the printed manual that came in the package with my E35, it specifically states that "the light does NOT memorise the last selected output. Eco mode will be activated each time it is turned on again."
      I have posed this question to Fenix and am awaiting clarification. I suspect the difference is either regional, or they've removed mode memory mid-production.

    I wonder why they removed intelligent memory at some point

      Pocket fire prevention? If it turns on to the lowest setting accidently, then it takes a few more button presses to make fire. Hopefully it's not a cheapening of the line... Probably legal stuff though.

    Man if they got rid of the charging port on the PD36R it would essentially be perfect. I have a couple of Fenix flashlights from 10 - 12 years ago which I still use. I'm pretty sure that we wont be using USB-C 10 years from now. PD35 v3 for the win.

    Glad it tail stands. LIghts like this are great when the electricity goes out during a storm. Stand it up on a table, turn it on and the bounce off of the ceiling lights up one or more rooms.

    FENIX is an odd company in that they have a good rep and yet has one of the "dumbest" UI's in the industry. Forcing the user to cycle through all modes. Even Turbo ....instead of making Turbo access 2-clicks as on all other brands/models. You don't want to be BLASTED by Turbo max lumens just to cycle back to ECO or LOW. We obviously use our lights in darkness so....
    So easy to slip in "2-clicks for Turbo". You want to make the "stepping" or "Ramping (holding down mode button)" quick e.g. 2 mode "steps". ECO (firefly aka moonlight) should always be accessed only from off holding down a button. Should standardize some button presses to get to Turbo or Strobe.
    FENIX is going to be feeling a "hurt'in" soon if they don't redo their UI...make it smarter...Lots of more affordable lights have better UI's. Customizeable. e.g. Wurkkos/Sofirn....

    I don't like the on button. I've seen a friend forget to lock out the button and the light turned on and his tool bag started to smoke from the bag melting. Would be better to have a tail button

    • @WildStuff
      @WildStuff  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The same thing has happened to me with a tail button light (my UC35 v1, many years ago). Burned a hole right through the nylon pouch after I bumped the bag I was carrying it in and stunk the room up a bit..
