So the breathing in the beginning is also how “Sick boi” starts and lots of lyrics in this reference other songs. I heard some lines from hi ren and money game 3 also the king Dotta diss. He often refers to other songs in his lyrics. The audacity and absolute mistake this Kujo guy has made here is nuts.
Hi Tim Great visceral response. What else can anyone say! Lots of references. - The 'hope' and 'rope' references reverse the imagery of hope in Hi Ren. - The choir is likely a reference to the Bulgarian choir that Kujo illegally sampled, kicking off all this nonsense. Hence its 'demise'. - The opening sequence of angry grunting mirrors the opening of Sick Boi, where Ren similarly expresses his frustration with the medical establishment/commercial music scene. - The pig mask occurs repeatedly in Ren's vids and plays a large role in Sick Boi, where it flashes up with a few inserted frames as it does here. Ren let slip a hint in one interview that among other things it represented his illness. It also seems to imply greed. - Kujo tied to the chair is a visual reminder of the 'hostage', also roped to a chair, in Money Game Part One, and seems to represent the money game itself or the racist and other bigotry associated with it. - Knox Hill, who is in close contact with Ren, says that in a recent photo Kujo appears to have shaved his head. Kujo is played here by Kai, one of Ren's team (The chilled out bass player in 'Back on '74'). Kai apprently also shaved his head to play the part. There's commitment! - The reference to Jimmie with his hand in the cookie jar personifies greed and the drive for wealth and power in Money Game Part 3. - Dotta (King Dotta) is a rapper who dissed Ren in a rap. Ren responded with a dis rap of his own but concluded it by offering a olive branch.
If you hear closely: the choir actually sings words like "sample". Much more i couldnt work out but its clear he references the choir sample from the kujo track.
Sick boi starts with Ren heavy breathing. If you can find a copy somewhere definitely listen to it in private. There is no other way to put this that this is a brilliant piece of art, while angry I could easily see this on a stage. How can 1 person make you feel so many emotions just by changing his voice and mannerisms 🤷♀️ he really is in a league of his own.
I could be wrong but Ren's heavy breathing is two-fold in this for like the last 4 or so breaths. I think this relates to Ren about to have a conversation with himself. Listen to it and tell me if you hear it or not.
It’s nice to see ren stick up for him self and all us renegades know that his a truly genuine and empathic dude but when push come to shove it’s nice to see him not hold back
So much of this is reference to other songs he’s made, most of which you’ve not yet watched - you’ll catch them as you watch others (except Sick Boi - since you can’t watch it now)! His reference to Dotta is about a dis track he did in response to a ‘rap battle’ King Dotta made toward Ren. You should watch it.. it will show you even more of REN’s lyric skills.. as well as his typical approach to such issues as this! Great reaction, thank-you for jumping on this!
So amazing right!~!??~!!🖤🖤🖤 the line he spits in this song "now the hope is the rope that will choke a bitch pale" is a twist on lyrics in Hi Ren. Original lyric is "Some people know me as "hope", Some people know me as the voice that you hear When you loosen the noose on the rope" The man is brilliant. Loved watching your enthusiasm. I was the same watching the premier!!😃
Loving this reaction. I want to shout out all the callbacks he makes, but there are just so many. You could probably go frame by frame and find even more.
The beat is filthy. I love the moment in which Ren and Kujo trade places for a split second combined with the one screach of the Stings. It must have been thought of when making the beat.
You probably didn't catch it but the guy playing kujo here is the same guy that played the bass in the Back on 74 song haha. Anyway Renegades unite!!! Sorry you didn't get to see Sick Boi
Awesome reaction, Tim! Thank you! I was in the middle of watching your previous post when Ren's live stream kicked in so I had to stop. No slight intended - LOVE your reactions - but I wanted to join the chat. I'm eager to watch it. I was thrilled to see that you posted this one so quickly. For me, the theatricality, symbolism, and emotion everyone invested in this video makes it my new favorite performance art piece. I can't stop watching it! Much love to you and your team. I noticed you posted a video of another student of yours. Eager to watch. Thank you. 🙋♀️💖
it's great to have you as a fellow Renegade! An amazing musical production. The string arrangement and Choir are just brilliant. I also love the inclusion of the Money Game 3 piano chord progression, a simplified version of when Charlie takes over in the video.
I’m glad you could appreciate the energy and production. Since you’re new to the scene, there’s a lot of back-references, storylines, themes, symbolism, lyrics and details that run through and weave across his work that you’re not yet aware of. It’s not just REN’s profound creativity, musicality and lyrical genius that get people amazed, excited and hooked. It’s the complex layers, many based in humor, irony cultural references, and symbolism, that are woven throughout his work, and connect everything together. You’ll be able to come back to this after you continue traveling through his body of work. Just a few examples: hooded figures, pig mask, rope references, boxing and basketball references, light/dark, hope/despair, greed, corruption, homeostasis, loneliness and community, human destruction and human potential, hive, seashells…and more.
Amazing reaction as always!!❤ The breathing at the beginning is similar to the way Sick Boi starts. In that song it symbolised his tortured mind, his desperation, the turmoil in his brain when dealing with all his symptoms and not knowing why. Genius then, genius now. ❤

A great reaction, sir, I love it! (Again!) And you should watch Ren's disstrack "Dumb King Come" - that's the "Dotta" reference. 💙 Thank you for your reaction! (However, we don't want to get Part 2 - that is just the worst case scenario. As much as I love this gem /madly/, I'd prefer things come to an end, the same as Ren's wishes. This is supposed to be a full-stop.)
He’s so good at mixing the theatrics with the music because that battle really goes on inside of him. He’s really feeling what he’s acting out. He’s an amazing insanely incredible talented artist.
My man, watching your face as you took this in and going "OH SHIT!" just brought the biggest smile and laugh to my day! Beyond the intensity of the breathing at the beginning, it's also a call back to the beginning of his Sick Boi track too. He started that song out similarly.
The breathing and the choir = Sick boi (which we have lost because of Kujo) There's a moral little Jimmy of the cookie and the jar = Money Game 3 and as you yourself point out, there are call backs to Hi Ren And I must say; I love angry Ren in this respond 🔥❤
Re 5:19 - here's a list of symbolisms I caught (or think I've caught). I'm sure I've probably missed some, too, but hopefully this helps. 5:27 - the heaving/grunting is similar to how Sick Boi (the track that got struck) starts; 5:42 (and onwards) - the duality of "good" and "bad" Ren is a general reference to Hi Ren (a track which is entirely that) 6:06 - "bad" Ren rejects the idea of this being Hi Ren number 2, though... and both pendulums and songs of hope are references to Hi Ren 6:10 - "the last time we did this" - another Hi Ren reference, because in that, "good" Ren is also called "hope", and seems to win out... 6:13 - "now the hope is the rope..." - in Hi Ren, there's a line equating the Hope with the feeling "when you loosen the noose on the rope" 6:44 - obviously, Sick Boi reference... 6:58 - it switches back to "good" ren, who's the one who says "fuck it", because indeed, he's angry too. 7:38 - some have said that the "choir" here is 7 people representing the 7 Deadly Sins (or Ren's song, Seven Sins)... but I count 8, so... ? 8:34 - "there's a moral" / Jimmy and the cookie jar is a reference to Money Game 3, which says, in part: > Jimmy followed the code inside the land of the free > Put your hand inside the cookie jar, take more than you need (But there are consequences...) 8:37 - also a reference to Jimmy trying to fill the hole that comes from him trying to please his father... by taking, in the extreme 9:12 - I'm not completely sure on this one, but I think this is a reference to her message saying she was going to fly to London and break Ren's kneecaps or whatever it apparently was. 9:18 - probably doesn't need explanation for most, but, yeah, Bonnie and Clyde, the murderous bank robbers -- and they're trying to rob Ren's bank, metaphorically... and yet... 9:21 - I don't really know if this is meant to have any reference to Ren's song, Suicide, but I can say that when I hear him say/sing it here, it evokes that, just for being his voice saying the same word. 9:41 - on "see me", a couple notes: (1) I wonder if it's a reference to The Who's _Tommy_ at all. Might not be, but "fear me, feel me, free me, bleed me" does have a certain connection in _my_ brain at least with "see me, feel me, touch me, heal me". (2) Also note that it switches to Ren in the chair briefly (on "me"), with Kujo in the attacking position, and then when Kujo's back in the chair a few frames later, he's got the Pig mask, with... whatever we've decided Ren means with that (greed, a reference to Animal Farm, etc.) 9:45 - "might as well bleed me" - lots of references in Sick Boi to bleeding someone, too. 9:49 - "into my words _legally_ "... pretty clearly a diss on Kujo's apparent tactics of stealing stuff and claiming it as his own. And yet, the "choir" dies at this word, too... killed in Ren's work (as I'm interpreting it) by the fact that it wasn't done legally on Kujo's part. 10:02 - "I'm sick with the pen" I kinda see as a reference back to earlier in the song, where he talks about the "razor blade pen" -- he doesn't want to be cutting people? Though, it could also be "I'm sick" in the "I'm good" sense, meaning he can really cut if he wants to. Either way, this connects to: 10:08 - "I went easy on the Dotta" is a reference to a diss track made by @DOTTAisKING, and Ren's response to it... which started out as a Diss track, or what seemed like one, but ended up being a call to Ren's audience to go check out Dotta's work, to try to give him more exposure, because, as Ren has said in interviews, he thought Dotta had some good work that deserved to be getting seen more. (And as a side note, Dotta's got a reaction video where he's apparently watching the premier of this live, and... let's just say I enjoyed seeing Dotta's reaction to this shout out coming up.) And actually, someone in the comments on that reaction pointed out something I hadn't noticed, but now agree with: this is also pointing out to Kujo that it could have been different -- he had an opportunity for mutual support, and he snubbed it, and now Dotta's probably catching more views off this than Kujo is. 10:24 - "another... comment" is clearly a reference to the comment where, apparently, she like made up (out of the whole cloth of the real contract, that was then cut up and twisted around) a whole different contract that Ren had supposedly agreed to, but that doesn't match what Ren presented to us as being the original/actual contract. 10:30 - I didn't catch this myself, really, but apparently this head tap might be a reference to... was it Goodfellas? Something like that. I don't actually know the reference, though when I heard that, it suddenly took on a meaning to me of like... being put in one's place as someone who should sit down and shut up or something like that, and possibly that your life (for a gangster... or in the case of Kujo in this song, his career) is about to end?? I dunno, exactly, but I'm pretty sure it means something. :) 3:57 (back in time because you cut it short on your second viewing) - Ren's saying "lights out" - which could have multiple layers of meaning. Putting the whole incident to bed, turning the lights out on Kujo's career, leaving them abandoned to be in the dark on their own........ or others. Anyway, that's what I've noticed and/or picked up on from others having noticed, so far. Hope it's helpful. :)
Absolutely fantastic work on these! I've been meaning to do a similar comment after watching (now) 42 different reactions and every one of Rens' videos, but you have really knocked this out of the park 👏Kudos! Also, with Ren swapping places with Kujo in the chair, I feel it's a reference to how Kujo had Ren (the Sick Boi)/Rens' work (Sick Boi) tied up/held hostage in legal matters.
@@TimWelchVocalStudio haha, cool, thanks! And... I've thought of another one or two, but given this is a pinned comment, I guess I'll just let people add their own (timestamps humbly requested!), and make this a community effort. I'm sure there's more that I missed...
Outstanding reaction Tim🎉 Appreciate the love and support you’ve given Ren in your short time as a Renegade and we welcome you into the community with wide open arms🤗 I recently came across the below quote from ‘Arthur Schopenhauer’ and our boy REN immediately came to mind… Talent hits a target no one else can hit; Genius hits a target no one else can see. Never been more proud of this beautiful human being❣️
Loved watching your enjoyment! Not only is Ren making the beats, doing all the mixing and editing... he's directing. Ren is on a mission with his vision.
Man I would not have the patience required to be reactor 😂 when I first heard Ren I fell HARD down the rabbit hole and binged as many songs as I could find. Waiting to do authentic first listens is truly a sacrifice 🥲 thanks 🙃
Tim you are quickly becoming one of my favourite reactors, you know exactly when to dive deep in to the technique and also when to just sit in awe of him. 10/10 great vid
Ren just posted that the original sick boi video and song are online again for the near future pending the legal stuff, you should react to it quickly!
This is a brilliant video. Ren culls from all his talents and, with his team, has produced an amazingly theatrical production, one that really packs a punch.
Also, thank you for supporting Rens work! You MUST watch the money game trilogy (ok by us to do them alone or separate, just make sure you do the lyric video for money game 2.... money game 3 may arguably be his best work ever), as well as the Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full version including Violets Tale... very important to do all three at once in one video!) As a Renegade, those are literally must watch. They represent Ren at his full power!
I love this. This feels like it’s meant for the stage except for the camerawork by Samuel Falvey Perry ( The Money Game series, Tales of Jenny and Screetch, Hi Ren, Sick Boi +) which puts Ren IN YOUR FACE! #freesickboi
The fact that you're loving this track at this point in your relationship with Ren's music is awesome. There are so many references throughout this track to some of his other songs, Hi Ren, Sick Boi, Money Game, the various videos with the pig mask. I think you'll enjoy this even more after you explore further and can catch all the little references. Also, you really should check out Humble ft. Eden Nash it's somewhere between rap and singing with a reggae flair and is one of my favorite Ren tracks.
Love the react, the support and undoubtedly the song! Ren proving the might of the pen… I’d rather the sword! That may heal in time, Kujos career will not! Looking forward to future reactions fellow renegade!
Someday, if just for your own entertainment (it’s cheekily hilarious!), and further insight into who Ren is as a person, you should watch the King Dotta diss. (NO singing whatsoever, and not even any instrumentation, or production value to comment on, so probably wouldn’t make a good review for you at this point. BUT STILL GENIUS!). There was much discussion amongst the Renegades about how different this song was surely destined to go, so you might also enjoy the contrast. Ren gives a wee fake out reference to it with the “I really feel bad about this--JUST KIDDING, NO I DON’T” line, lol.
References to his other songs are fire. Hi Ren Pendulum swinging from the dark to the light, loosen the Noose on the rope, the walk in money game 1, Jimmy and the cookie jar money game 3. I saw in another comment the Choir dies when he said legally. Great reaction and it's so refreshing to see good fighting back and winning❤
Love your authenticity to your reactions especially rens, and also the fact that the vocal coach part of you just goes wo hold on we are just gonna sit back and let the rest of the brain enjoy it, and the reactions when shit drops every time its great keep up the work new fan here of yours
For anyone who didn’t see the sick boi video or sing the heaving was also in the intro of that as well but more subtle so I love how he made that the main focus and ampted it up given what happen

8:37 - also a reference to Jimmy trying to fill the hole that comes from him trying to please his father... by taking, in the extreme
9:12 - I'm not completely sure on this one, but I think this is a reference to her message saying she was going to fly to London and break Ren's kneecaps or whatever it apparently was.
(2) Also note that it switches to Ren in the chair briefly (on "me"), with Kujo in the attacking position, and then when Kujo's back in the chair a few frames later, he's got the Pig mask, with... whatever we've decided Ren means with that (greed, a reference to Animal Farm, etc.)
9:45 - "might as well bleed me" - lots of references in Sick Boi to bleeding someone, too.
Either way, this connects to:
10:08 - "I went easy on the Dotta" is a reference to a diss track made by @DOTTAisKING, and Ren's response to it... which started out as a Diss track, or what seemed like one, but ended up being a call to Ren's audience to go check out Dotta's work, to try to give him more exposure, because, as Ren has said in interviews, he thought Dotta had some good work that deserved to be getting seen more.
3:57 (back in time because you cut it short on your second viewing) - Ren's saying "lights out" - which could have multiple layers of meaning. Putting the whole incident to bed, turning the lights out on Kujo's career, leaving them abandoned to be in the dark on their own........ or others.
Anyway, that's what I've noticed and/or picked up on from others having noticed, so far. Hope it's helpful. :)
Wow, I love this! This is killer! You win the prize thanks so much! 🏆
I pinned this. 👊🏼🔥
The title is also a triple:
KujoBeats
Kujo getting a beat down from Ren
Kujo taking Rens' beat down through legal pressure
@@TimWelchVocalStudio haha, cool, thanks! And... I've thought of another one or two, but given this is a pinned comment, I guess I'll just let people add their own (timestamps humbly requested!), and make this a community effort. I'm sure there's more that I missed...
You went nuts like a proper RENegade. We're like those Swifties for our boi.
Baahaahaa, truth!
Outstanding reaction Tim🎉
Appreciate the love and support you’ve given Ren in your short time as a Renegade and we welcome you into the community with wide open arms🤗
I recently came across the below quote from ‘Arthur Schopenhauer’ and our boy REN immediately came to mind…
Talent hits a target no one else can hit;
Genius hits a target no one else can see.
Never been more proud of this beautiful human being❣️
Love that and thank you! 🙏🏼
Would love to see your reaction to more Ren songs... How to be me, Tale Trilogy, For Joe, Money Game 1 2 3... 😊
Awesome
Everyone wants part two
Great reaction, Ren is just such a delight to behold. I love that we never know what we are going to get.
Loved watching your enjoyment! Not only is Ren making the beats, doing all the mixing and editing... he's directing. Ren is on a mission with his vision.
🔥 🔥 🔥 So Good!
I started imagining kujo is who Ren kidnapped in the song Murderer 😊
Man I would not have the patience required to be reactor 😂 when I first heard Ren I fell HARD down the rabbit hole and binged as many songs as I could find. Waiting to do authentic first listens is truly a sacrifice 🥲 thanks 🙃
It’s tough, but it’s worth it! lol. If I wasn’t reacting, it would be impossible.
I love this Renegade community. Very diverse, positive community. Waving my hat to you 😁
Right back at ya! New renegade song dropping later today! 🔥🙌🏼
Great reaction!!! Catching the choir dying is something most don’t get… or mention at least. He’s now a Renicidal maniac!
Again, love your reactions to our brother,Ren!!! Thank you!! Go Ren!!!😀🫶🥰🎵✨️🫂☮️🔮💖🌷
Tim you are quickly becoming one of my favourite reactors, you know exactly when to dive deep in to the technique and also when to just sit in awe of him. 10/10 great vid
Cool, thanks!
Nice people can be the worst people to piss off.
Ren just posted that the original sick boi video and song are online again for the near future pending the legal stuff, you should react to it quickly!
Thanks for this reaction ❤
Ahhh!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!!!!! 🙏🏼🔥💛🙌🏼😊
I love when coaches react as fans ❤❤
Brilliant reaction from a true Renegade.
This is a brilliant video. Ren culls from all his talents and, with his team, has produced an amazingly theatrical production, one that really packs a punch.
Thank you for supporting Ren in this battle, we, and he, appreciates it I'm sure. Rap Ren is AMAZING too. One love from Scotland. 💙
👊🏼🔥💛
welcome fellow RENegade! thanks for sharing a really awesome reaction. much love to you and yours.🙂🙂🙂❤❤❤
So fun to see you react to this as a fan and appreciate that it's more than just Ren being angry! The video production is 🔥🔥🔥
Also, thank you for supporting Rens work!
Thanks, these are on my list!
As always, love your reaction❤ Ren want crazy on this😈
WOW WOW WOW INDEED!! Respond accordingly....LOVE THAT! I am SO happy you are part of the Renegades. Love your content.
🙏🏼✨
Thank you for supporting Ren ❤
Fantastic reaction video..... Love it. Thanks Tim
Ren is an incredible producer, the work he's put into this, so quickly too, is just amazing. ❤❤❤
I love this. This feels like it’s meant for the stage except for the camerawork by Samuel Falvey Perry ( The Money Game series, Tales of Jenny and Screetch, Hi Ren, Sick Boi +) which puts Ren IN YOUR FACE! #freesickboi
Algo Bump! Appreciate the reaction, love to see the community coming together in support of Ren! Much love and have a great day!
Appreciate it. You too.
A brilliant piece of art - absolutely loved it !
“What a baller.” Indeed! 💜
Brilliant reaction as usual!!❤
There was so much in this you need an hour 😅
He got the jokers in the end 🤡 🤣
Awesome, thanks.
OMG I love this!!! Every review I am seeing tonight is the best ever :) KUJO...please, please poke the wolf...I want part 2!!!!
Love the “capitave audience”
Let’s make this a number in hit. Go Ren🎉
Love your authenticity to your reactions especially rens, and also the fact that the vocal coach part of you just goes wo hold on we are just gonna sit back and let the rest of the brain enjoy it, and the reactions when shit drops every time its great keep up the work new fan here of yours
Thx Craig. 👊🏼🔥
❤ here for you and Ren always
Brilliant and then some !
What a production, again.
How to turn adversity into art! Enjoyed watching this with you - thanks :)
Yes!
For anyone who didn’t see the sick boi video or sing the heaving was also in the intro of that as well but more subtle so I love how he made that the main focus and ampted it up given what happen
