- I was going through some .mid files and discovered how great this one sounded through MIDISID. This one has two SwinSIDs fitted.
You can see from the MIDI player window that this one has a few notes on channels 6,7 and 8 but most of the action is in the first five and channel 10, which is why it works so well here.
This is the original .mid file in case you'd like to play it yourself.

MidiSID needs more attention. I love it!!!
Woohoo, an extra treat this week, cheers.
This was on a bit of a whim. I thought that track sounded so good I wanted to share it. Glad you liked it.
I just received my MIDISID today; it sounds, looks and feels great. I've just finished reconfiguring my MIDI channel setup so I can control it without any conflicts, and I still want to set up my MIDI controller to adjust parameters, but even before doing anything very productive with it, my first impression is a good one; it's going to be great fun to use.
Thanks for keeping the SID chip and the music that can be made with it both relevant and accessible, in hardware form and not just as emulators (which are undeniably also good, but just not my preferred way of working).
Glad to hear of the safe arrival. I hope you enjoy it.
Okay, I'm sold. I'll definitely have to order one....right now.
Thank you very much!
The sound of the SID has always been a favorite of mine since I had a Commodore 64 as a kid in the 80s. This is really the first piece of hardware since the SID Station that looks to fit in my workflow. I'm looking forward to playing with the MIDISid.
Reminds a bit of early Oingo Boingo band🙂The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo

That's who wrote it!

Yes!
@@midi_inI did know that but it makes sense given that Tim Burton and Danny Elfman are frequent collaborators
Betelgeuse?
That's the one. I avoided putting the name in the title because I didn't want to give a clue to the content match engine, but despite this being a chiptune rendering it still recognised this as what it is and labelled it 'copyrighted content'
@@midi_in 👍👍👍
@@midi_inThat's a sign that you did a great job!
