i've always shipped her and Jason and assumed they got together perhaps Minh was an out of marriage birth, hey mabey she got back in touch with richie for a while and had minh, and since she only had 1 ranger parent, that was the reason they never told her
Sadly, this was one of the very LAST episodes where Thuy Trang (officially) appears as Trini in Power Rangers EVER! Starting episode 21 of S2, character doubles and overuse of stock footage takes over to give the illusion that she’s still there until the character was officially written out in the Power Transfer special. And Trang tragically never came back to PR before her unfortunate passing in 2001, not even as a voice cameo like Walter did for a bad guy for (I THINK) the Wild Force Forever Red special? Whether if this was of her own choosing or the staff just not liking her for going against them is unknown, but it’s a such a same she never got the PROPER sendoff she deserved while she was still alive throughout the 90s, again even if it was just a small cameo. I don’t know man, I know Austin St. John (the one ironically responsible for the S2 cast split/walk off) eventually got to come back for Zeo, but I feel Thuy got done the most dirty out of the first three actors who left this season. But at the very least she loved what she did (aside from the obvious not getting paid enough part). Who knows, maybe she wanted to come back and just couldn’t, maybe she didn’t care at all or wouldn’t’ have cared in the future if she was still with us because of the awful treatment her and the other actors got, but I and many other Trini fans certainly do miss her even after all these years. I did hear that at the end of the Turbo episode, "Passing the torch" when TJ, Carlos, Ashley and Cassie get thier powers, there was supposed be past rangers coming back as well, Thuy was supposed to reprised her role as Trini while the rest was body doubles but that obviously didn't happened. :(
I remember This was supposed to been in the first movie of Power Rangers I think she left due to money problems with production but if she was alive today I'm certain she would have came back to reprise her role as Trini.

Chris Peplinski Zack did return to the show. He did voice overs for the monsters on different episodes. Only Trini and Billy never came back to the show in any form, unless it was archive footage. But it should be noted, that of the previously two mentioned, only Trini (Thuy Trang) was never invited back to the show before she died on September 3rd, 2001.
I think Richie could have been a good character if he'd been given more time on the show and more character development as he was actually quite a good actor. I watched a video from PRLostGalaxy2014 where he said that he could have been the ones to be on Turbo instead of Justin and that would have been a good idea as it meant that he would have become more confident and less shy.

By (I believe) the Trini, and Tommy focused Venus Island episode, Walter had already left the show before he could do his ADR. Like most of the “Fake Ranger”ADR people, you can tell he’s not Walter, but I’ll actually give Roges credit, he probably was the best of the sub ADR dubbers. I just find that twist so funny.

I don’t know how true it is but I discovered that Richie was supposed to have way more lines and a bigger role on the show, he was potentially supposed to be the White Ranger and also be included in the movie. He was supposed to also have storyline revolved around his father and also potential romance with Trini. Unfortunately, his character and story was abandoned entirely when Austin Thuy and Walter left the show. Hi, I know I have already commented on this video, but I didn't realize that the actor who played Richie, Maurice Mendoza died nearly two years ago. May he rest in peace. Man, I really wish Austin, Thuy and Walter didn't leave the show the way they did. I would imagine that when this episode "Two for One" was first broadcast and viewers saw Richie asking Trini out on a study date, they were probably thinking "Oooooo! I wonder if these two will actually get together in a few episodes. They have been eyeing each other for a while now.". But what did we end up with instead? Jason, Trini and Zack stop hanging out with the other rangers just a couple of episodes later (due to the actors already leaving the show) and Richie along with Zack's cousin Curtis suddenly disappear with no explanation.
I agree man. These episodes still ring in my head as the best episodes of S2, the show was taking it's stride and definitely spanning out with new supporting cast members (Curtis and Ritchie). It so bitter sweet that nothing was done to keep the original cast today. I wish that rich Billionaire Haim Saban wasn't so cheap and would have broke off the original cast some doe that could have kept them along. Who knows how MMPR would have turned. I honestly think we would have likely saw 4-5 seasons of MMPR with the original cast, probably upgraded to newer Sentai uniforms through the seasons, and the show and conclude. Almost similar to other teen cast shows that were hot then like Sweet Valley High, Saved By The Bell.

As a child I kept watching Power Rangers until Turbo but today the first season and the episodes of the second season before the depart of the three original are the only episodes I like to rewatch again and again.

They could have said that Trini started spending more time with Richie off screen and Curtis could have been used to explain Zack and Jason’s absence. Then when Jason, Trini and Zack were chosen to attend the peace conference, Trini and Richie had finally developed a romance and Richie went with the trio so he and Trini could still be together. Oh yeah, and Curtis would have gone with them too because... well, because he is Zack’s cousin I guess. Surely that would have been better than just having Richie and Curtis vanish without any explanation just because the leading actors had left abruptly.

Yeah if Austin Thuy and Walter hadn’t quit the producers never would’ve had to let go of Richie and Curtis. The way I look at the three actors quitting the show they just seemed to quit caring about everything. The show’s popularity, the fans, the people who loved them, everything. Well I didn’t even enjoy any Power Ranger stuff after the first season anyway. So that’s the only season I own on DVD.
Austin, Thuy, and Walter didn't quit. They got fired, after asking for more pay. Haim Saban wasn't about giving his top crop good financial support, so he hired sappy replacements, then made it a tradition to switch out cast with new seasons. It sucked for us consumers who enjoyed the original cast, but it was good benefit for Haim Saban who's a Billionaire today.

There's rumors that the two of them have a daughter. Since Trini actor dead they could confirm this in a reunion epoisde and have thier kid take Trini morpher and morph as the yellow ranger.

Yeah if Austin Thuy and Walter hadn’t quit the producers never would’ve had to let go of Richie and Curtis. The way I look at the three actors quitting the show they just seemed to quit caring about everything. The show’s popularity, the fans, the people who loved them, everything. Well I didn’t even enjoy any Power Ranger stuff after the first season anyway. So that’s the only season I own on DVD.
Austin, Thuy, and Walter didn't quit. They got fired, after asking for more pay. Haim Saban wasn't about giving his top crop good financial support, so he hired sappy replacements, then made it a tradition to switch out cast with new seasons. It sucked for us consumers who enjoyed the original cast, but it was good benefit for Haim Saban who's a Billionaire today.
vh9network No Saban didn’t fire Austin, Thuy, and Walter, they quit. Everyone who read about it online said they quit. Especially other TH-cam watchers who commented on the Power Transfer scene which is posted online. Even IMDB.com said the actors left as in they quit.
That's not how I heard it long before people started throwing their spin on it on TH-cam.

@@KentPetersonmoney Yeah, but I think in their minds, they felt like the producers weren’t being fair to them from the beginning of that second season, and after a while they felt like they had enough and left.
