竹笛悠长，鲁特清响。十七世纪的同一时空下，这两种乐器曾天各一方。现如今，我们让他们一齐奏响。
明清时期跨洋而来的传教士成为了东西方文化的桥梁，他们在宫廷、民间的活动开启了“西学东渐”与“中乐西传”的先河。重洋彼岸的巴赫也在这个时期创作出了《G弦上的咏叹调》的动人旋律。
鲁特琴是西方文艺复兴时期的顶流乐器，竹笛是中国传统乐器，谁知道呢，他们的前世是否已经相遇？
也许，数百年前，在历史没来得及记载的某个初夏，真有一位胡子大叔，和一位宽袍大袖的明朝少年，乐器是他们的交流工具，音乐是他们的共同语言，山川异域，风月同天，这或许就是属于他们的“浪漫”。

明清时期跨洋而来的传教士成为了中西方科学、文化、艺术沟通的桥梁，他们也将西洋的音乐与乐器带到了中国，刚好巴赫的生活年代相当于中国的清代早期，从音乐演绎和背景角度出发，我们选择了用传统竹笛搭配欧洲文艺复兴时期最最风靡的乐器鲁特琴，再穿戴上晚明时期的士人服饰呈现了这个作品（造型灵感来源自明万历年间徐光启与利玛窦的友情故事），另外，上海音乐厅5.23的明代主题音乐会专场两位老师将会上演现场版哦~

第一次听巴赫的G弦上的咏叹调是二十几年前，大概12岁。当时听到，整个人愣住，惊叹于怎么会有这么直击灵魂的音乐。当时没有网络，找音乐老师借来磁带，翻录几次，戴着耳机反反复复听。今天听到自得的这版，又惊艳了一次。那些尘封多年的小回忆呀，又在脑海里浮起来了。

For some context of this piece of music: originally the aria movement from Bach's orchestral suite no. 3 in D major, thus it's in the key of D major. It wasn't until the 19th century virtuoso violinists decided to transcribe the whole movement into key of G so it can be played entirely on the lowest string of the violin to showcase both the violin's improvement and the high position needed to play the whole thing on 1 string. The name thus stuck and we now commonly refer to this movement as air on the g string
And today, G string means something else
Yeah, people should stop calling it air on the g string, it's so dumb and cringe, and I'm a violinist.

100 years ago when I was a young man I could never have imagined hearing this played with traditional Chinese instruments. It's possibly the best version I've heard, quite beautiful
Well, the flute is a Chinese traditional instrument indeed (it is called 笛子 dizi). However, the lute on the right of the screen is not a Chinese lute (called 琵琶 pipa) but a western Renaissance lute.
@@gyrocompa I looked at that instrument and wondered but my knowledge is very limited so I assumed the video makers would have used a Chinese instrument. Thanks for the clarification 👍🏻

屠化冰老师的演奏好有感情，每次都觉得他实际上是在讲故事。以前知道歌手可以用歌声讲故事，其实竹笛也可以。

I could not find a word to describe the soothing frequency from the melody through the Chinese musical instrument. It is a piece of love from the nature which has been transformed into melody form. Imperfectly perfect and beautiful (妙）。

The instruments used in Chinese music include Guzheng 古筝, Guqin 古琴 (has a deeper sound than Guzheng, this is the one played by Lan Zhan in The Untamed), Dizi 笛子 (a kind of Chinese flute, held sideways, this is the one played by Wei Wuxian in The Untamed), Xiao 箫 (held vertically and played by blowing at one end of it, sounds lower and deeper than Dizi, this is the one played by Wen Kexing in the Wuxia drama called Word of Honor), Pipa 琵琶 (a sonorous, four-stringed, pear-shaped instrument held upright on the lap when played, sounds very intense, this is the one played by the Scorpion King in Word of Honor), Hulusi 葫芦丝 (cucurbit flute, sounds very beautiful and melodious, from Yunan province, in the south of China). There are also other instruments like Erhu 二胡 (two-stringed, sounds very sad, like the voice of humans), Suona 唢呐 (very loud, used at both traditional Chinese weddings and funerals). My favorites are Guzheng, Guqin, Xiao and Pipa. Since I watched Word of Honor, I love Xiao and Pipa more. 😁 The way Wen Kexing played the Xiao made of white jade is so elegant. 🥰 Also, the Scorpion King playing the Pipa at 18:55 of episode 6 looks so cool. 😁 At 19:55 of episode 4, Qin Song, one of the four assassins of the Scorpion also played the Pipa. These musical instruments playing many ancient and modern songs can be found on TH-cam. The channel called ‘Zi De Guqin Studio’ is amazing. Hope u enjoy them. 😁

Beautiful as always! I think it's the first time I've head a 笛子 (dizi) without a membrane (笛膜), I've heard about it before, but have never actually heard it. Weird how it sound so different than a Xiao flute, which is what I would have expected.
