I am glad you're not throwing your unhauled books away. I give my finushed books, I'm not keeping to my local library, where I happen to work. We give the our deleted books to Better World Books. So, other people can read them. ❤😊❤
i wish i had something like half price books around but when i unhaul all mine just go to free little libraries. i dont have a lot of options cuz even the libraries stopped taking donations. its weird over here.
I have tons of room on my shelves because my husband bought me new bookshelves when we moved a few years ago and they haven't been filled up yet. But I've still been unhauling books that I know I probably won't get around to reading for one reason or another. ⭐
Years ago I stayed in a house in Savannah that was in the movie and they had the book there for guests to read. The entire trip was so atmospheric! I tried to read the book then and just couldn’t make it more than a few pages at the time. So incredibly boring.
You have alot of books but please don't feel pressure to get rid of them unless you really do have duplicates. You have a long life to live ahead of you and you may want to keep them to remember each time in your life that you read them.
I remember the first time I unhauled 100 books at once. So freeing. Hope you feel the same. Now if I read it and don’t think I’ll reread it, it just goes to unhaul immediately.
As someone really excited for your unhaul after seeing you scan your collection, not only is 100 not giant for youtube standards (Gavin reads it all unhauls multiple hundreds almost each time and his collection is only about 1.5k max) its TINNI TINY for you. I really hoped youd do the first 1k unhaul. But if you truly love all you own there’s no helping it.
Why would you hope that she would give away 1000+ books? She doesn't have to give away her books just to make good content. She also shouldn't feel pressured based off of what other people with less books than her feel compelled to do. Idk. This is a weird comment.

I get the mathematical way of thinking, but she takes in frequent hauls and does even less unhauls. So there’s an extremely low probability of an extremely large unhaul. Also you forgot the emotional aspect of hoarding. She didn’t curate a home library. She has an overcrowded hobby room with toy cubicle shelves and random piles of books. She likes her piles, she won’t be getting rid of a quarter of what she owns.
@ a home library is a home library regardless of if the shelves are "toy cubicles" or some fancy hardwood. You sound very judgmental with that statement. The cubicles serve their purpose and are probably more budget friendly than anything else on the market. I also stored my books in a similar way before investing in custom build ins that costed almost 10K. I still considered the room my library beforehand. She is not hoarding books, she is collecting them. I don't even have a job in books or receive PR and I have more books than her just from buying, thrifting and collecting over the years. She's fine as is.

Cube shelves came out as toy shelves from what I remember. And I never bought them because they were more expensive and the space is not maximized, it just causes double stacking and no use of space all the way to the ceiling. It is a fact the room is overcrowded and filled with piles. She has said herself that she’s out of space and has piles. One would assume she likes them since she keeps adding to them rather than subtracting from them. And I never said she wasn’t fine as is…I pointed out the signs OP missed that caused her to assume different of this channel. Lastly, no one needs to spend 10k on bookshelves to maximize their storage. I would think with that money and the amount of books you own you would have better literacy skills.

The K. Webster book is one of my favorite series of all time I’ve probably read it atleast 7 times
My mom read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil when I was a kid, and said it was the most boring book she ever read.

I too was upset with my Waterstone Colleen Hoover book and sold it. The Boyfriend was so juvenile. The dialogue...ugh ✨
