Unhauls are one of my favorite kind of videos. Especially the format you chose, just sitting on the floor going through the books, less than 20 minutes and not going into too much detail about what the book is about just your thoughts on why you aren’t keeping it. Perfection. I like hearing people’s reasoning for not keeping books on their shelves. I unhauled three medium size boxes recently and it felt so good to put them back in circulation.

I love watching unhauls, because I'm also nosy haha. My favourite type is when they go through their shelves with you and you can see them pick out the books they're going to unhaul. I recently did a little unhaul since I got books for christmas and needed space for them

I unhauled over 150 books a few years ago and desperately need to do another round of pruning because my shelves are starting to look a little overstuffed again. I often used the 'will I ever read this again?' mantra to help me make my decision.

I like unhauled, gives me courage to clean my shelves as well. Likewise if I hated a book it's gone, doesn't even make it to the shelf and then there are all those 3 or 3.5 kind of books that I need to slowly rethink " will I ever WANT to read this". Happy new year!🎉

I love to watch unhauls! I myself usually unhaul thrillers, just because once you’ve read it the surprise is gone. Also any books that I happen to buy that are 3 stars or less I always unhaul those too!
I love a good book unhaul video and have been putting books to the side to put in little free libraries when it feels like Spring. Good to know on the One Dark Window Duology I just got both for Christmas and will keep my expectations low. Happy reading!!

I love book unhauls and I really should do one again. I have way to many books that I want to buy and I need the space to put them on the shelves🙈
Did a massive (for me) unhaul when I moved apartments in Sept. I gave around 50 books to the used bookstore and got a ridiculous amount of trade credit 🤭 it did, however, put me in an unexpected apprehensive-to-buy-books headspace for a few months… who knows why. I’ve since delved back into my overconsumption of books in the holiday season, but curious to see if the massive unhaul has a similar effect on you.
i haven't bought a book all year if that counts for anything haha! but i feel like anything that makes you not want to buy too many new books would be a win in my book!

I watched Discovery of Witches before realising it was a book series. So after I finished it, I read the first book. It was okay but I preferred the show so I never carried on with the rest of the books.
yeah from the 50 pages i read of the second i really would not recommend the rest of the book series...

I could be wrong, but I think I had Masterpieces of Terror when I was younger and there's a story in it about an evil teddy bear with really sharp teeth. one of my most bizarre reading experiences as a child

Rereading a thriller is probably akin to rewatching one. Even the best filmmakers tire me out sometimes when they do thrillers on account of overdoing it from a style standpoint. Behind the smoke and mirrors, there tends to be a dumpster pile of jump scares and emocore melodrama. It's why I'm reminded on every rewatch of "Rear Window" why Hitchcock's work has lasted: it's the type of thrills that don't get tiresome.

Oh my word!! Castle of Otranto is my jam ... as the first-ever gothic novel (and therefore trying to invent a genre) it is delightfully stupid, and the characters are so sincere in their stupidity that you can't help but love them!
I remember a TV series on FOX tried to modernize Sleepy Hollow and it included a subplot of Katrina being a witch who was [hanged or burned, one of the two] after Ichabod time traveled. It got real convoluted real quick.

The Moonstone is actually an excellent book. One of the earliest examples of unreliable narrators and thrillers with a hint of romance. I would’ve thought that the length wouldn’t bother you, as you love Brandon Sanderson. Lol

Surprisingly annotated books do sell on PangoBooks. I’ve sold many but I just don’t make them pricey.
