- The Power Rangers have been ruling our screens since 1993. Throughout many seasons and reboots, Powers Rangers have remained a favorite for multiple generations. There’s more to the Power Rangers than teenagers fighting off evil alien monsters in their skin-tight leotards. They tell stories of a strong friendship and how good always overpowers evil. The action scenes and cheesy dialogues add to the charm of the show. The Power Rangers have exhibited a non-gender biased and racially diverse cast, which has given more children the opportunity to identify themselves as the heroes fighting off the villains. The setting of Power Rangers has always been rather campy with low-budget special effects. The budget of the shows increased with time and with that the quality of its cinematography. The current generation of Power Rangers has a bigger budget and more resources than they did in the nineties. But if you try to make them more realistic and take away the light and fun tone, it no longer resembles the show we grew up watching as kids. The 2017 film is a great example of why the show shouldn’t be shaken off its campy roots. Let’s look into fourteen of the soul-riveting villains the show has introduced to us, over the years.

Venjix was amazing, not only because it put hummannity on their knees but he even return to take down the entire multiverse

@@BlueBlazeKing yeah it was a really good twist that came out of nowhere and beast morphers turn out to be the actual sequel to RPM after all and they finished the storyline and I was a shocked the fact that it was Nate that creates Evox even though it was by accident and he unleashed Venjix back on the Earth again
Aside from Mesogog's plans and the whole struggle between identities, let's also look at how downright creepy he looks. The way his mouth moves so well just doesn't feel right. Real uncanny.
Octomus scared the ba-jesus outta little me *shudder* My mom thought I was trying to tell her I was scared of Optimus... as in Prime 😆 she kept saying "He's a good guy, babe!"

Except if it’s Shattered Glass Optimus Prime. He’s even more scary due to his insanity in his appearances.
Venjix has to take the title of most dangerous and evil of the Power Ranger villains. The virus was one city away from world domination, effectively giving us a setting we’ve never seen before: Power Rangers in a Post-Apocalyptic world. And then the dude hides out in a morpher of all places, shows up on another Earth, once again to reek havoc as a main villain.
I can see why you feel this way, but I feel he was stopped before being able to reach the point of claiming the title. The UAE and Armada both have conquered hundreds of worlds. Vile and Zedd both claim a galaxy.
@@kyleellis9177 True but unlike them, you get to see Venjix’s triumph. Everything outside of Corinth was seen as a wasteland, and the rangers were practically fighting just to keep the last bit of ground they had left. To them it wasn’t about defeating the evil, it was just surviving
Venjix is one biggest reason why RPM is my favourite PR season. The opening episode always gives me chills considering its Power Rangers
Zedd, Mesogog, Xandred, Venjix, the Psycho Rangers and Queen Bansherra are good examples of terrifying and nicely done villains. Octomus looks scary but I can’t call him a good villain. Mainly because he was not developed enough in Mystic Force.
But Zedd is back and still superior he will return in Cosmic Fury with either Xandred or Mesogog
Mesagog was one of the reasons I absolutely LOVED Dino Thunder.

Dino thunder is one of my favorite seasons of power rangers I love the characters I love the storytelling and the villains was awesome despite that they have a shorter ranger team with a team of five but they still have time for each of them to have their character arcs and their moments and I loved it

Some of these power rangers villian would make awesome horror movie characters
Take the description of each monster/villain and give to a horror director/someone like Geiger. BOOM! awesome horror movie.

Trakeena is the best of the worst, a despicable villainess that willingly sacrifice her hole army just enact revenge against the Rangeres, one that enjoy the suffer of everyone alike even her own minions and mutated herself to put the Rangers in the edge
Her descent to a complete monster is so compelling.

Lord Zedd was all looks he can't compare to the later villains
Psycho Pink didn’t sacrifice herself to destroy the Savage Sword, Kendrix, the Pink Galaxy Ranger did. It was one of the series’ most tear jerking, heart-breaking moments. Also, no love for Astronema, Trakeena, or Ransik? What?
All 3 are morally grey anti heroes, should all go on another list.

Sure, he cares for his Daughter and ultimately surrendered, but I wouldn't say that makes him morally grey or even an Anti Hero yet.

This is one of the times I’ll say MMPR did something really cool. Having a major villain with literally no skin and just being exposed muscle and bone was a cool idea. PR original too since Lord Zed was never in Sentai. (Fun Fact: There was eventually a Sentai villain named Zed decades later in in Resha Sentai Toqger)
Technically, ToQger’s villain was named Z. It’s just a Japanese quirk to say it as “Zetto”.
Xandred is one of my favorites, Samurai was my first power rangers series. I also really like Diabolico, he's a strong warrior, but also cares about his subordinates.
Diabolico was my favorite villain in Light speed Rescue as he cared about his subordinates which most villains didn't do.
The fact that most of the villains are ideable for horror movie monster.
I know some of these are amazing designs

I don’t feel that way Power Rangers 2017 movie was amazingly awesome it felt like my childhood grew up with me and there’s others who agree.
It’s a shame it didn’t get more love with most people thinking it had to be Campy

Master Xandred or Xandred is probably one of the evilest power ranger villains, for example he tortured a nilock that betrayed him to try to seal him so bad he went very smart and cunning to not even able to make words only sounds

To Update. Lord Zedd is originally an eltarian (like zordon) named Zorphram and actually was Zordons superior.

@@carlocumino824 Dude.. he literally used psycho green from boom comics for Dark Specters part. Also stated that Zordons first team was canon, Soul of the dragon canon.
So if you're using the canon bits from one part of the comics, why deny the other parts?
@@zero1872001 this channel likes to play it fast and loose with some facts. The Boom comics are currently their own continuity since they mostly take place in the modern day. I don’t recall any of the Rangers having cellphones in the original series!

When I was a kid I really scared to watch that Queen Bansheera episode alone, I don't know why but the developer made the monster character really scary for kids like me at that time but also really good, I really want to watch it again so nostalgic

Master Xandred is without a doubt my favorite power rangers villain in samurai
I prefer his japan version where he's usually just a drunk for most of it till he has enough power to invade himself then just wrecks everything till he dries out.

Normally PR is a whole new story with JP footage. Samurai was literally scene for scene reshoot of JP but dumbed way down. The only good thing from PR version was samurai mode.

Queen Bansheera will always be one of the most evil villains in power Rangers to me.she lived up to the name of demon queen
Master org, Mesogog, Darkonda, Queen Bansheera, Scorpius, Dark Spector, Venjix, Ransik, and several others like them always be the scariest power rangers villains.
I miss the "human cosplay" villains type, like Rita, Divatox, Astronema, Trakeena

Very good list power rangers such an underappreciated for franchise nowadays.
If you think these villains are worse you should see their Japanese counterparts that Power Rangers is based off of. Those shows took some serious dark tones (in Zyuranger they fight Satan).
And Satan kills Rita's son... Damn.... And the green ranger dies slowly....
Psycho Rangers Ransik Dai Shi and Venjix Come to mind for me

Imperious is criminally underrated. He gave the Mystics a damn good run for their money, he was treacherous, manipulative, arrogant and deceitful. I feel he was a better villain than Octomus and should have been the final bad guy of Mystic Force.
Dude was a superior villain through and through!

The thing about Venjix is that if the organization, Alphabet Soup hadn't tried to make Dr. K's gifts theirs to control, they wouldn't have had to deal with such a dangerous threat.. Dr. K had the genius intellect to create advanced technology and scientific breakthroughs, but she was deprived of the opportunities to gain wisdom, for sight, insight, or growth as a person.

Terror Toad is *genuinely* one of my favorite monsters. The way it moves is entirely absurd, yet somehow... Believable?

Terror Toad traumatized me as a kid. I never want to encounter something big enough to eat me whole. Then again, I guess the alternative of something eating me alive little by little is just as terrifying.

I feel like Mirloc from Power Rangers SPD should've made it onto this list. Not only is the guy capable of traveling around using reflective surfaces like mirrors, chrome, and even water, he could also trap people and even an entire megazord in mirror prisons. Add in the fact he's a master of playing with people's emotion and was even directly responsible for the death of a previous power ranger.

My favorite was and has been and still is master Xandred
I think Scorpious was the main villain for the first half of Lost Galaxy rather then the whole series and its pronounced Quasar like the space anomily and "K Sar"

How did terror toad get a mention yet master org and ransik didn’t? They were among the darkest villains in the series
Dark Specter was underrated. He organized an invasion so big that forced Zordon to sacrifice himself. Plus, he was the one who made Astronoma one of the most dangerous villains, and was the source of power for the Psycho Rangers. He even almost killed Zordon by draining him of his energy with his lava. He was the size of a planet and had to be killed by a missile specifically designed for destroying planets. He only died because he was betrayed by one of his allies.
Dai shi is Second favorite Villain from Power rangers and a Dark energy user his Black Lion armor is really stylus with Gold design🛡️🛡️.

I've always liked the movie about Power Rangers. For a period it ran as a TV series on Tv3, in the morning which was part of breakfast TV. Where teenagers from a school were selected by Commander Zoron, and his assistant the robot Alpha. They had morphers. When there was chaos created by Witch Rita. Did they get suits with helmets. And when they needed reinforcements they called in some robot-like dinosaurs called Sords. If they needed extra power, they said: Mega sord. I really liked Tommy who was the sord dragon. If they needed his reinforcements, they said: Mega sord dragon. They also defeated her monsters.

The Original Samurai Rangers surived that what Octoroo said in episode 1. And Samurai Ranger powers are passed down from parents to child, Kevin's father appeared in episode 1 handing Kevin the Dragon Folding Zord. The other Samurai Rangers wouldn't have gotten their zords without their parents being alive.:

Kinda like my first TMNT episode was the one with Toy(?) the machine with multiple faces and pretty far into the episode.
After that I clicked on The Thing thinking it was The Thing from the fantastic 4… right wen they were putting the dog into the kennel… it wasn’t a super hero movie.

So, some villains are directly from the Japanese show unless special American only characters are made for the show
To this day Lord Zed is still the best looking villain in the entire Power Rangers franchise.

The Japanese version was always more dark Rita in the Japanese version was name Bandora the witch and she was a satanist and the last episode she summon great Satan to fight the Super Sentai "power rangers"

I had to laugh like crazy when you say lets begin and you open with Xandred. Seriously. While I don't like Samurai's intro and Xadnred spends the 1st part of the series "taking medicine" when it comes time to show Xandred is ready and a beast. No chill and fear.
Also remembering that ending to SPD. So funny. Cuts off other horn. GRUUMM: NOOOOOO!!!! Doggy: Now THEY MATCH! *captures gruumm*
True but the times where xandred actually decides to go and fight make up for that since he was dominating the rangers even at a severe handicap. It literally took the rangers everything they had to barely beat him
@@jakealter5504 That's what I said near the end of my 1st comment. I said I dont like samurais intro song and how xandred spent the 1st part of the series doping on meds. But everything after Archanators attempted coup was all beast. Especially when he 1st comes to Earth and makes Serrator run for his life and makes the rangers think twice about fight him with easiest curb stomp in rand history.
