I have both the Megazord and Dragonzord. When I was 28 yo or so, my 12 yo cousin come home for Xmas. I was working the night shift that day. The next day when he left I discovered he took the sabertooth zord (along libra dohko - from Saint Seiya - and parts from his armor), and broke several parts of the Dragonzord, tryceratops' horn, pyterodactyl's wings and more... Worst Xmas ever.
I was a kid in 94. My parents had 9 of us. Toys wasn't a priority. My brothers and I would cut out the toys r us adds of the mega zords and place it under our pillows hoping one day it'll come true. It never did. As an adult now I make enough to buy whatever I want. And yes I have all the zords and sh figuarts rangers

The fact that Soul of Chogokin managed to remake it into a better model being able to uphold the dragonzord in place literally makes it much more worth buying now

Yes, that's right, in the movie they will use different models for each purpose. As for this version of SOC, they must be beautiful individually, must be able to fuse together, and the robot form must also be beautiful.
MMPR's toyline definitely had the best Ultrazord combination in design and playability; both the original and this newer set. The joints allowing for more poses is pretty awesome and I love the detachable parts on the Dragonzord's tail. Much more convenient.

Gotta admit, even though I grew up preferring the design of the Mythical Qi Beasts and DaiRenOh from Dairanger, it is pretty cool how they made it possible to combine all 6 Zyu Beasts together and another way to combine them with a 7th Beast. For the Qi Beasts, you can only combine the 5 including RyuuSeiOh or just 5 including Wong Tiger; and there is no way to combine any of them with DaiJinRyuu. I think that is the DaiRanger setup's only drawback.

Damn....i knew this show as mighty morphin power ranger, the first kind of rangers that i saw as a kid, and the one time i almost got a slap from my mother for annoying her to buy me the zord toys
the team for Soul of Chogokin are GODS... no version released in the Americas (not even the Legacy ones) have this level of detail and care put into them... all of the individual zords are far more articulated than any of their other versions... when I saw the Tyrannosaurus's tail articulation, my mind was blown... and when I saw how the connectors are hidden until you want to put them all together, I was completely sold... this entire set might cost an arm and a leg, but for any Power Rangers or Zyuranger fan, it's an absolute MUST!!!

Absolutely gorgeous. I thought my 1990s toys of them were awesome but those are a whole new level! Love the increased accuracy to the suits used in the show of the T-Rex and Dragonzord as opposed to the models used for transformations and the better articulation on the others. Never knew the cannons were stored in T-Rex’s chest! Never liked the MegaDragonzord with Dragonzord’s tail and chest attached though (should have just used them as the staff Dragonzord battle mode had). Anyone else remember that toy Titanus came with some plastic bits that clipped on Tank Mode so it could tow it?
When I was a kid, I had all three of them bandai toys..but now that I am 33 yrs old, I cannot afford to buy them anymore for my son..good thing I was able to preserve the Megazord.
Had to play the song in my head as the model is transforming. Would’ve loved to have had that in the background. And Dragonzord Battle Mode didn’t get enough love in the show.
They say hindsight is 20/20, and words cannot describe how much I wish I'd held out for these instead of buying the 10th anniversary and legacy versions.
I know what you mean bro. I ended up selling all of my Legacy figures on Ebay (sold for a great price I might add). You could probably still sell them for a good amount on Ebay and have enough to buy the entire SoC set and have some change left over. Just a suggestion 😁

I was born when megaforce came out but I saw the commercials for these toys and I saw the oh power rangers so I can feel what everyone is feeling right now.
Assuming yours isn't the 25 year old one, yours is most likely the Bandai Power Rangers Legacy edition from a few years back. It's a decent version that's held back by poor balance from bad diecast metal placement making it very top heavy, and very weak knee joints due to incorporation of the Zord Builder system, intended so you could mix and match limbs from various megazords. Made for kids and nostalgic adults. The one in the video is Soul of Chougokin edition, the fucking Rolls Royce of giant robot toys. Very screen accurate, lots of joints and thus very complicated in comparison when you're dealing with a combining robot. And as a result, very expensive. The Legacy Megazord will cost you about $80, where the SoC goes for $300.

It was just something about the Zords from Mighty Morphin that no season could recapture afterwards. They were just perfect.

I know what you mean bro. I ended up selling all of my Legacy figures on Ebay (sold for a great price I might add). You could probably still sell them for a good amount on Ebay and have enough to buy the entire SoC set and have some change left over. Just a suggestion 😁

And we got dumbed down versions because of the paranoia that they think every kid is a retard who'll poke their eyes out or choke on shit lol

Assuming yours isn't the 25 year old one, yours is most likely the Bandai Power Rangers Legacy edition from a few years back.
It's a decent version that's held back by poor balance from bad diecast metal placement making it very top heavy, and very weak knee joints due to incorporation of the Zord Builder system, intended so you could mix and match limbs from various megazords. Made for kids and nostalgic adults.
The one in the video is Soul of Chougokin edition, the fucking Rolls Royce of giant robot toys. Very screen accurate, lots of joints and thus very complicated in comparison when you're dealing with a combining robot. And as a result, very expensive. The Legacy Megazord will cost you about $80, where the SoC goes for $300.
