This episode has made me finally realize i need to sit down and watch the three big classics of the mafia genre, The Godfather, Goodfellas and Married to the Mob. I can't wait.
I ended up seeing Goodfellas after Tim suggested it. It's quite good.

When Tim said his first single was called "Empty Bottle", I was kinda confused because I thought that was a strange name for rock song. But when he explained that the "Empty Bottle" was used in this case as a metaphorical device, to represent loneliness and despondency, I started to understand the depth of his brilliance.

You just know someone said this about one of the real Tim's actual real albums.
And also at the same time it is about empty bottles, so it's layered, there's multiple layers to it.
Another cool thing is that if you say MT BTL out loud it sort of sounds like Empty Bottle and that is another example of something being similar or not what you expected.

even though this is a comedy show and satire of real critics, Gregg gives some really funny criticism on Depp's career here, all the while not breaking character.
I agree with Gregg, Johnny Depp should be in Captain Crunch instead of this new gangster role. Hollywood needs to take note!
If Tim's bass playing from the last Oscar special is any preview to what we can expect from the upcoming Dekkar EP I think we will be in for quite a treat. I already give it 5 bags of popcorn and 2 bass solos.

I'd like to see Dr. Luther as a guest a few times, it's always nice to mix it up a bit. Because I would love to learn more about movies or other interesting things as well. It would also be nice to have a reunion of Ayaka and Tim's family with Gregg. Always nice to know how they're doing.

Watching this one again today.....peep at 5:53 where Tim is trying so hard not to break character & LOL while listening to Gregg ramble about different stupid characters Johnny Depp should play rather than "an old businessman" in Black Mass.
Well technically they already had sort of an unofficial sequel to the Captain Crunch cereal franchise, called Pirates of the Caribbean, which interestingly enough did star Johnny Depp.

This OC@TC episode might very well be the series peak - literal body blow after body blow of LOL. Dakota (oh like the state) is hands-down Tim's greatest stumble, Whitey Burglar, Gregg's Johnny Depth riffing, Maze Runner reminding Tim of cornfields.....show is straight-up devastating.
I'm glad they are always on in the most important times of the year for movies. The fall and springtime. Most of the good stuff comes out then. You can skip summer and winter times most of the time. Except when its a hobbit movie of course.

Gregg really nailed it here. Any Film Buff/Depp-Head knows that Johnny Depp's time is arguably the most valuable in Hollywood (aside from perhaps Tim Burton). Give boring (businessman) roles to other actors, and let Johnny take on a film worth his time. Still a 5-bagger for sure, though.
