Especially with the admission, that he changed his mind from simply seeing the PC as a powerful tool before, it is a nice transition for Gale to realise that he might be more than a wizard to someone. Astarion wants to be more than a body, Gale needs to be more than a mind.
"average wizard lives 1000 years" factoid actualy just statistical error. average wizard has the life expectancy of a gnome in a war. magics elminster, who lives in library & lived over 13,000 years, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.

Hopefully there's more like those for that class.
If you convince him to go with you and the twins, he pops out of the room and leaves the fake Gale there, assuring everyone he's "anatomically accurate" lol

Poor thing doesn’t know Minthara is not a book, she’s an Iron Maiden XD messing with him is so wholesome it doesn’t even feel too much most of the times! The last one just shows how madly in love he is and it’s beautiful. Sad that you need to test his limits to get those.
