connections did feel tough today, not surprised it had a high difficulty rating! LOTS of red herrings it felt like. i think of lather in the sense of "he worked himself into a lather" means getting worked up! similar to tizzy though, I've only ever heard of it used in that sense in specific phrases!
I found all of the groups first in Connections, and thought that yellow was going to be "in a (blank)" and purple. I think it's fair to say a puzzle was hard if you had to work on it a lot even if you didn't find any wrong combinations tempting. It looks like Paramount is a post-UPN relaunch of Spike. The parent company Paramount Global owns a bunch of channels, including MTV, so they have the option of using that name for one if it seems sensible.
strands was tough. they were channels during my childhood :( edit: interesting. I wanna try the sports one. My dad watches a lot of sports so I'll definitely ask him to see if he can solve them.
I also got a perfect in Wyna Liu's connections. Green was the obvious one that popped out, then light blue. Cascade being dishwasher detergent was the subliminal clue that allowed me to finally lock in purple. Yellow was my default solve. I think the yellow category was tough. Sports Connection, forget it, I only got light blue. I knew 3 of the Tennis Greats. Billy Jean King, the battle of the sexes. So I picked the slavic sounding name to get the 4th In hindsight I should have gotten green, but the other two categories, forget it.
Great milestone Wordle. Five for me: AROSE, THING, CLUMP, BOWED+, MODEM. Not an easy word; there could be casualties. Perfect Connections. One mistake for me. I would never have gotten the sports edition, though I knew three of the tennis players. Good Mini. 1:11 for me. Nice Strands. This topic is not my specialty two wrong words

I had gotten them all, except for Discovery and Paramount. However, my board didn't have all the necessary letters for either, for some reason.

Yes, Paramount has its own channel. You pay for it as you pay for Netflix.
Isn't rapids rather than rapid that describes a fast moving stretch of a river?
Paramount is really big
