@@SnakeWorksStudio personally id clean up and paint the unpainted yellow fellow, and place him on a shelf with his comrades from the bag. they’re quite the curiosity, would be a shame to strip away their story.
@@SnakeWorksStudio most definitely, RTB01 marines are always worth the effort in my book! breathing new life into old marines lets them have another life making us dorks happy!
They all seems pretty salvageable in my experience thick straight from the pot paint strip pretty easily, 2 day in simple green would do the trick! The only thing that seems to be a problem will be the glue you may have to cut and sand it down. I have cleaned/repaired/converted and repainted a bunch of these around 80 since they are pretty simple design its not that bad of a job.
RTB01 Imperial Space Marines 1987 are "Justified & Ancient". I owned a box back during the halcion days of RT. I'm lucky enough to own a couple of handfuls these days too. I used to pull them apart and repose them but I realized that it's way more awesome to just strip the auld paint if necessary and paint them as is in their oft times unique poses et al. In the triumphant days of yore I painted a solitary Marine red. I don't recall wether I used geedubbu or Polly paint? Prolly Polly. I do remember using a truly gawd awful Testors stubby paint brush with flared bristles. These days my Beakies are painted black which to me means shades of grey. The venerable RTB01 Marines are about 1,000,000 times better than the neu HH Mahreens.

Lol, love it 😂. . I honestly do love the RTB 01 Marines when they are well put together and painted though, if it's done wrong they do all look like they are just getting off the toilet 😂
@SnakeWorksStudio I still have my original rtb 01 box with 30 marines, the box is a little shabby now though, I am repainting them at the moment as 10 year old me didn't know about thinning paints, I was still using Humbrol enamel left over from airfix kits back then 🤣
It is clear that it is not a deer, but one of the members from two lost legions. This is why their existence is such an embarrassing taboo. Luckily for the world we didn't see the primarch. :-D
@@SnakeWorksStudio The second and eleventh, if I remember correctly, and that's also almost all that is known in the lore, except for mysterious hints. It is also a given that their Primarchs were destroyed and thus remained unknown and forgotten. However, again - destroyed by whom, how and why is still unknown as far as I know.
Just got done stripping my beakies. Pain in the butt to clean up, thick paint and weird assembly. They are the green plastic ones. Time to paint them up.
I think the green was the first plastic. My buddy (the guy with the 3 pack of Rhinos) made the first purchase of RTB01. His were green. Mine are the dark blue, purchased a couple weeks after his.
I had a few of these back in the day possibly still in a cupboard somewhere. Makes me cringe though as I know I painted them in humbrol paints... I was 6-7 at the time so please forgive me.

I wonder if stripping them might show some interesting details! And hopefully just super glue or something that’s easily broken down?
I'm with you on this Charles. They may be on the small side but they are still excellent models.
@@SnakeWorksStudio Whatever the glue is you'll be able to sand, cut away etc just remember to keep all the auld poses and equipment as is!
