The A5 is my "Western Film Score" Trumpet. I play the Elmer Bernstein/Moross/Morricone stuff on it (while playing Williams and Goldsmith on a Bach C). What I like is the bright "ring" that you get without any extra effort while still having a wide, not shrill sound. Originally I had some intonation issues until I figured out that the A5 (at least my one) "likes" Mouthpieces with a slightly more narrow backbore. I also got two more heavy valve caps for the 1st and 2nd valve. The A5 also records really well.
When I hear someone say "jazz horn", "lead horn", "orchestral horn", I remind them that Mr Benge and Mr Schilke played in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and I am quite sure they did NOT play on a Bach 37 😁
Damn I'm early today, any chance of doing a comparison between the Doubler's cornet and a Besson Sovereign? I'm thinking about getting a cornet and those two seem like really good options.

Those horns are completely different in terms of the price spectrum.
Next time we have a Besson in stock, we can make a comparison video. Thanks!
