  • In search of the ideal sub-compact we gathered together five of the least expensive and most fuel efficient cars on the market to compare them head-to-head and determine which car has it all.
    www.autoguide.com/manufacturer...
    Fun, fuel-efficient and inexpensive are just a few of the adjectives that describe the ideal sub-compact car. But often these little runabouts also get tagged with some less than glamorous terms like: cramped, cheap and slow.

    I still drive my 2008 fit Sport . Just continue the regular oil changes and it run like a new car. The Honda Fit is extremely reliable like Toyotas are extremely reliable.

    After 10 years the 5spd Fit is still the obvious winner. It's cheap to own and durable.

    the EPA fuel economy numbers for the Honda Fit are underrated. My '09 Fit Sport Paddle Shift automatic is currently averaging over 39 MPG, and ive seen the average climb to 40.2 mpg last summer... and no i dont baby the car, i do like to step on the gas pedal, and occasionally use the air conditioning... i really love my car

      That's what I heard from one of my buddies. He said his Mom's 2009 Honda Fit averages 39 mpg, no matter how you drive it!

    I also prefer the Nissan Hatchback. Has so much more backseat legroom than the Honda Fit. That was one of the biggest selling points for me :)

    • @erikbaran7197
      @erikbaran7197 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That would be one of the least important aspects for me. I'm the only person in the vehicle 95% of the time and most of the rest of the time there's only one other person riding along. I've had my Fit for only a couple of weeks, after driving a Versa for a month after my car was totaled, and I prefer the Fit. Not saying the Versa was a bad car, but that the Fit is better. More headroom, better appointed, more comfortable seat, more cargo area, better gas mileage and it's a Honda.

    I've seen two comparisons of the subcompact vehicles and both times the Fit one. Friend has it, backseat leg room is a joke, but if I own one, I won't be in the back seat.

      same, two different subcompact shootouts with Fit winning both. I'm amazed that I have the front seat all of the way back and I can sit in the rear seat behind it and my knees are barely touching the front seat at 6'1" with long legs.

    I would go Fit... when discounted to 13K, MAX. It is an econo car and should not be more. If you shop aggresively... I JUST saw a Versa new for $8300. Base Aveo for $7200 discounted (a sweet deal), and Accent for $7500 recently too (at times even GS 4 doors are below 9 grand, no joke!). Yaris can be had for $9500 with no options as well. This is how to package a econo car, other wise buy a Hyundai Elantra discounted for 10 grand... it does come up a few times a year, and comes packaged well.

    That's not a very good way to rate a car. You have to compare and rate every aspect of the car and sales isn't one of them. Ultimately it comes down to buyers preference, but can you honestly say that all those that bought a Versa compared it to its competition? Maybe Nissan had better marketing or friends/family/dealers telling them to buy it. Better sales isn't going to give me improved steering, speed, comfort, or mileage. Clearly you are biased towards Versa. Not saying its bad... but still

      @NintendoPsycho 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Fellipe Rodrigues lol Honda Fit's don't have sticky gas petals and are very reliable. I use mine for work carrying tools and at times a whole lot of weight. There's a lot more room than Toyota's Fit rip-off, I even put a fridge in mine one day. The Fit, despite being sub compact has a bit of style to it compared to the wimpy Yaris and even the Prius. lol Bought mine in 2013 and with 35 000 km is still going strong.

  • @palebeachbum
    @palebeachbum 14 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is crap. Hyundai always seems to be kicked in the face in these comparo reviews, even though they are the cheapest priced with best warranty. The quality is good and they drive well. So why last place? Maybe they should do like Honda and Toyota. Raise the price several thousand and cut the waranty 2/3's. Maybe then they'd be placed in first, since price and value apparnetly have no bearing in these comparo reviews,even among econo cars.

  • @Rayven_cat

    @Hako2004 the yaris is the only one that is the ugly version. Should have been the hatchback.

  • @Hako2004
    @Hako2004 14 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Apparently warranty isn't important to buyers. I thought you guys looked at "all the factors"? I think it was a foregone conclusion that the Fit would win......you got the ugliest versions of the other cars available, then gave the Fit points for looks. Yeah, that makes sense.

  • @ambulance000
    @ambulance000 14 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Are you kidding the yaris is a far better car than the fit???? It drives better on the highway and has more luggage space... The fit is absolute rubbish on the highway and the cabin is way to cramped... I suppose hondas cheque is in the mail huh....

    Also the Nissan should be in last place due to the unreliable and fun killing CVT transmission

    • @cloed0ll
      @cloed0ll ปีที่แล้ว

      Most people buy automatics instead of manual so you can throw your stupid little fly out of the window. And Nissan ironed out all the bugs in their CVT transmission you can have fun with a CVT. Just look at the Corolla SE or the Honda Accord 1.5 L sport or the Nissan Maxima...

    • @MacTechG4
      @MacTechG4 ปีที่แล้ว
