    Bench? Is there seriously no bench? Adding a adjustable bench could almost double the amount of exercises that can be done. "First class garage gym" my ass

    Winter you close the garage most of the way, leave a little opening for air circulation otherwise as long as you keep moving and keep your body temp up you'll be fine. the garage shouldn't get too cold once you start moving. also you could always try a fan and heater.

    What are you going to do in the winter, also I believe you should have pads under the squat track, it's better that way for your feet.

    No, not quite. The Rogue training and comp discs are very competitively priced, actually. Comparable Eleiko plates would cost around $4000 but the Rogue training discs pictures would end up costing around $1000 at the most (It looks like 6x 45# (687), 2x 25#(149), 2x 35# (193)) + 1 mens rouge bar would be $275, so around $1300.

    • @TheRollDdice
      @TheRollDdice 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You say Rogue is competitively priced and then compare them to Eleiko plates, LOL. There're a bunch of other companies with similar quality gear that you forgot.

    Well, the first useful tip if you want to build a home gym with anything from Rogue, REP, Vulcan, Titan-etc., is actually find a single thing for a home gym they have to sell and aren't completely "OUT OF STOCK". And GOOD LUCK on that!!!! June 16, 2020.

    First you gotta get Rogue to get back to you one your quote for equipment in less than 3 or 4 days. Just for starters. (even if its about $35,000 worth of gear which is apparently piddly-squat to them now) Then if you're really lucky and you ask them to give you a call to go over some questions about equipment options and warranties...they'll be arrogant enough to tell you to just call them. Only for you to go through the minutia of automated phone choice menus until you're going insane.

      what's wrong with crossfit? i am from the former soviet block and crossfit is not present here. i go through general weightlifting routine. never understood why people mostly express hate towards crossfit. personally, i find bodybuilding somewhat narcissistic and pointless.

      @frysebox1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      yes i envy no gainz and damaged rotator cuffs lmfao

    • @Justaguyyoutubin
      @Justaguyyoutubin 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@AG-po7bl Crossfit was originally the pursuit of functional strength by performing movements of ALL exercise disciplines in the effort to become a complete athlete... However, crossfit has became a travesty. As crossfit became more of a sport, they modified traditional movements and watered them down. Crossfit pullups for example are fucking retarded and are ONLY functional for doing crossfit pullups. The strength or movement of a crossfit pullup ONLY can be applied to doing crossfit pullup which is completely hypocritical of what crossfit is supposed to be. Crossfit is becoming less and less about incorporating every discipline and is so self-indulged that it only encourages athletes to perform 'crossfit' movements. Whats worse is that as crossfit becomes more mainstream, it caters to the average person which detracts from the pursuit of becoming a complete athlete because the average person is incapable of becoming an athlete... Due to this, crossfit is branding itself to satiate that market (the average person) by reducing the difficulty of movements and by increasing the amount of machines and trinkets that they can market to your average person. Crossfit is a business and is a shadow of its former self.
      Bodybuilding is the pursuit of building muscle. Whether you think its 'pointless' or not is irrelevant because others are going to value things differently than you are... Bodybuilding has suffered a similar fate as crossfit. Bodybuilding exploded during the golden era of bodybuilding with stars like Arnold, but as they tried to appease to the average person, competitions and titles became less about proportions and individual muscle groups and more about size. The average person wont appreciate the striations of muscle on your exterior delt but they can recognize size. Person A is bigger than B, that is better! So what happened to bodybuilding? They went main stream and the athletes took more and more gear to grow bigger and bigger to appease the layman, and their bodies became fucking disgusting. They have gigantic bloated guts, awful fake spray tans and lack all athleticism. Bodybuilding is on the rebound though and most competitions are starting to reward an athletes proportions over their size. Why is it rebounding? Because it has lost favor and returned to a sub culture and can repair. Crossfit is still on the way up in popularity. When women in their mid 50s start to join crossfit classes you know its nearing the end... They will hit rock bottom and be forced to rebound as well.

    Why not mount the rack to the block wall versus the wood studs? Overtime it will be a much more sturdy setup. Just my two cents....

      CrossFit classes includes STRENGTH where strict movements are exercised. The Goal here is lifting heavier not faster. CrossFit classes also includes WORKOUT where the goal is to measure your FITNESS. Google CrossFit's definition of what that is and then google the history of FRAN. Doing "FRAN" with strict pullups wouldn't be a challenge. But with Butterfly pullups it's actually a WORKOUT.

    • @TurdFurgeson571
      @TurdFurgeson571 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. $20k is more than enough. You could buy frills and even hire someone to do the installation for you with that kind of money. The basics -- rack, bench, bar, and about 400 lb. -- will run about $2k from Rogue, for mid range equipment. If you want olympic level bars, weights, and platforms etc., then yeah, start selling your plasma. If you're at that level though, it's likely you don't need to buy that equipment for yourself because either a sponsor gave you a nice $1k+ barbell or you just train at a gym where they have all you need.
      The equipment in this video probably costed this guy about $6,000 to $7,000 at the most.
