I currently have Velvet Beauty and Velvet Muse, and was vacillating between Bloom and Pompadour for the winter months but, thanks to you, Bloom it is! I also found Velvet Fawn pulled too yellowy on me. Might go for Velvet Rain for the Spring months, too.
My lips are very intense pink so i know lipsticks especially pinks and corals will go on way more intense on me .. beauty and muse look way darker than intended but that’s fine. Blush is nothing like it’s supposed to be it’s a gothic shade on me 😅😅 even blush lightly is intense plum - but that’s ok I know this can happen with my lip color (which I actually like so no complaints 😂)

Velvet Cinnabar looks stunning on you. I’ll have to pick that up this fall! I finally snagged Velvet Decade and I’m floored by how beautiful it is. It was so intimidating but I’m glad I got it. It’s MLBB when blotted. The shade I reach for the most is Velvet Blush Lightly. It’s just perfect. ❤
I really wish I had watched this video before I purchased my first LE lipstick in Skyscraper Rose. I absolutely love the quality, the formula feel, but it's just too hot pink on me. I still try to wear it by putting another brand's deeper red over it, but that defeats the purpose! Thanks for your very informative and helpful videos! Happy 2024 to you!
Dis I miss Velvet Enchantment? Well 80-90% of the shades look good in you, you’re a lucky girl! Velvet Pompadour and Beauty were a huge disappointment and flop to me, they don’t look nice in my yellow undertone skin. I have to remind myself not to buy anything with cold undertones again. Velvet Blush Lightly and Rain are probably the coldest my skin undertone can “cope” with. Great video, many thanks ❤
I forgot to buy it! I thought I had all the shades but when I went to link everything I spotted enchantment and was like: whoops I missed that one. It's one of the downsides of buying everything in small batches.

New Wave in saturated is my top favorite from LE. I also love carnival and Ribbon. And the new liquid lipstick in Blush is wonderful as a stain. Not drying. (And by the way. Danes almost never wear makeup, so it’s not easy to find kindred spirits in “our” culture).
Yes I agree! If you're from a culture where wearing makeup is just about a lick of mascara and maybe a concealer, you stand out the minute you wear an eyeshadow or bold lip. People often don't realize that.

No, lipstick doesn't expire that quickly. Unless it's moldy, changes smell/ texture or color your lipsticks can last years. I haven't replaced any of mine.
Any of the deeper shades: Jazz, Duchess and Myth might work. Diva has more brown than all of these though and leans more berry. So Duchess or Myth are probably best as they have the depth and esp Duchess has that hint of purple running through.
Bought Bloom after watching your videos. I love the colour and staying power. I do find it’s a bit drying but the pros out way that con, worn it 3 days in a row x
I find these to not be drying at all. Tip: apply lip balm when you start doing your makeup. Blot it down with a tissue when you apply lipstick at the end. Ensures hydrated lips while not affecting the wear time.

Until now they never look similar on me than on anyone else. I'm in NYC so always have to buy without trying on. Fawn was my only disappointment. Did you get Velvet Enchantment? I don't own that one and haven't quite decided. Btw, I've never liked liquid lipsticks, but I really like Lisa's Velveteens (they're $27 USD). I bought Blush first, and liked it so much I bought Velveteen Jazz and Dragon as well.

I was waiting for this video 🥰 enjoyed it so much!! I own all of them too but I am shade 13 of Lisa’s foundation, so I am light/medium with warm undertones. I am jealous of the way Sorcery and Bloom look on you because that’s what I wanted! But Sorcery’s cool mauve undertones make me look like a literal zombie, and Bloom pulls fuchsia on me rather than red-pink as I wanted it to be. Regardless I love them and pull them out on the right occasion :) I’ve realized all my favourite LE shades are “dirty”, nuanced, hard-to-describe shades such as Jazz (my favourite), Enchantment, Cinnabar, Dragon, Muse, Blush… rather than more bright and straightforward ones. Although of course Ribbon is basically as good as it gets in this world. Btw you forgot to swatch my second favourite - Enchantment! 😉 xx
Oh and btw I did buy two Velveteens! I am not a fan of liquid lipsticks either but of course Lisa is a magician. I bought Blush and Jazz because they are even darker and vampier than the Velvet versions. What I appreciate most about this new formula is the stunning soft-focus velvet effect which you can only truly appreciate in real life, and the ability to deepen the color by layering. They layers apply super easily, no problem with reapplying after its dry. It does have more longevity than the Velvets however when you eat something oily it fades out less flatteringly than a Velvet would. Because the Velvet will just slightly fade in the center of the mouth without any harsh lines, however with the Velveteen I could really see the line where the liquid lipstick ended and my bare lips began, where the oily food touched in the center. That is probably because I’ve worn them really full-on with a couple layers. I am sure if you wear them blurred as soft stains that doesn’t happen, but I like my lips punchy and vampy 🤷🏻♀️. Overall I am very happy with the shades of Velveteen I bought because they do offer me something different as a product than my Velvets do. But I will not be buying every single shade as liquid lipsticks do dry out over time. The True Velvets are my favourite lipstick formula for life ❤

My favorites from the Velvets I own are Muse, Blush and Cinnabar. I said it before, we have very similar coloring. I am a bit deeper (LE shade 7) but also neutral/cool with purply lips. It seems I am a lot more muted though, my undertone neutralizes brown/grey undertones so the muted lipsticks reads pretty bright on me (Cinnabar looks like a deep, true red). I am curious about Velvet Sorcery and Jazz!
The Catrice Scandalous Matte and Kiko Velvet Passion lipstick ranges both contain dupes. Velvet Duchess isn't wholly unique. Many brands do deeper reds with a berry undertone so it will be easy to dupe.

This is such a great Video! Thank you! I would say, I think No way you have cool undertone! If anything, you might be olive light, bit I would say neutral leaning warm. You would never be able to pull off those beautiful golden locks with cool undertone. The clash is immediate ;) Of course I might be wrong, seeing you only on camera, but it was my first reaction: not cool (😅) and not pale!
I am definitely on the fairest of the fair spectrum. My hair is mainly my natural color, just some highlights to help accentuate it, which turn warm toned over time, but my natural hair color is actually quite cool toned in real life (according to my hairdresser). I am def not an olive. I just have a lot of green in my house (plants, walls, the couch in the background) that give my videos a slight greenish hue. So no, I am definitely NOT warm nor am I olive.

Yeah I am shade 5 if I remember correctly so that does make a difference.
I'm LE shade 7 as well (I'm a Deep Winter), and highly recommend both Jazz and Sorcery. They're 2 of my very favorites.

I only have one-Velvet Ribbon-and I think it’s the perfect red.
It is a such a good red. The only one I still wear on a regular basis together with Velvet Jazz.
You can pull off any of these shades, but the brighter ones definitely stand out when you wear them.
Which is probably why I love so many.

Contact customer services. I broke one as I was swatching it and they sent me one for free, with no extra charges.
