When the limousines pulled up, I was so stunned my girlfriend kept saying "there he is". I never in my life saw such a beautiful man - those blue eyes. He looked me right in the eyes and gave me a kiss. I still just stood there. You guys were so wonderful to Elvis. He loved his Mother so much.
I think Elvis and Tina Turner would have been fantastic doing Proud Mary. Their voices were strong. What an appearance that would have been. God bless ya'll.

Lisa's last husband was all about the money she had and his still trying to get his hands on it. But You are right about Elvis approving of Danny Keough. He cared about her and was there for Lisa in her last days where as the last husband only cared about her money and trying to get his hands on her money. I've been reading Gene Smiths book"Elvis Man Friday". So interesting the early days on the road & on movie sets...I know Gene & brother Carroll Junior was older than Billy but did he get along with them, in the photos in the book you can see a real likeness as boys fair haired Gene(@ 7yrs) & similar looks as Billy(cousins). Even Elvis had fair hair as a boy you see likeness in him & Gene( they 7 week's apart in age) in some pics. Elvis's Mother Gladys parents Robert & Octavia(Doll) Smith were very good looking people when young you can see Elvis got his looks from them. Especially Robert Smith..Elvis had a good mix from both Presley & Smith side. You can see his Father Vernon at times in his expressions & mannerisms. It would be so wonderful if Riley Keogh & Lisa's young twin girls met up with you guys as you were both so close to their Grandfather. Important they meet true kinfolk! The twins already have strong Presley gene, you can see real likeness of Elvis across eyes...I heard Riley called her little baby girl "Tupelo" after Elvis birthplace, not sure if true! but nice! I think the book was despicable. They admitted they did it out of spite. I agree it was revenge. NO ONE publicly humiliates a friend under the guise of "helping" him. It breaks my heart that his last days were spent trying to deal with that betrayal.

Witch was organized by the Mamas and Papas ....John McKenzie ? ....anyway I read John and his friends met Elvis (with his guys) while riding motor cycles in the desert near Palm Springs. Elvis didn't know who they were and perhaps thought they were a Hells angels type of hippie gang or something . John recognized Elvis right away and eagerly introduced himself . I Wonder if Billy was there ?

Awesome hearing these stories, as for the Elvis what happened next, I enjoyed reading it, obviously shocking at the time but knowing what we know now it’s a marvellous record of events and from other books i’ve read and other source’s reflects actual events, maybe not accurately but with a shared collective close enough!

Awesome hearing these stories, as for the Elvis what happened next, I enjoyed reading it, obviously shocking at the time but knowing what we know now it’s a marvellous record of events and from other books i’ve read and other source’s reflects actual events, maybe not accurately but with a shared collective close enough!
