I love listening to y’all’s stories of times back in the day. I’m sure Gladys was so happy to have her farm of animals that would provide for them…they weren’t gonna go hungry anymore…they had eggs, chickens, turkeys and pigs to eat. All those years of scrounging were behind her. I’m sure they felt the good Lord was blessing them with abundance. Danielle, thanks for sharing the pictures of young Billy at the white house. It’s funny y’all say the “white house”. We grew up in a white brick house and my family refers to it by the “white house.” 😊

Thank you for your kind words about Jim Kingsley. My friend, Kathy, and I met him a few months before his passing and I called him Gentleman Jim. A very kind man. His brother John and his wife Lilly were very comforting to me after Jimmy died (they hosted Jimmy's wedding). His manner of death hit me hard and I wish he could have found what he needed to ease his woes. Truly, a dear and precious man. I still miss him.

And what did Billy & Jo think of the song Linda Thompson wrote “To Where You Are” (that Josh Groban sang years ago) about Elvis? I would love to know if it impacted them as much as it did so many others, especially once we found out she wrote it for Elvis. Such a beautiful song :)
