I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

16:11 Yes, use 3-5 TINY dots and then blend out. Most of us use way too much product in general, less is always more. The goal is to have people say "you look fantastic!" Not "Your makeup looks fantastic." World renowned makeup artists like Mary Greenwell is a master at demonstrating application and actress Cate Blanchett is one of her clients.
I am 72 and love it! Some people use too much product! It only takes a small amount.
I bought this concealer (I’m 59) have lots of lines under my eyes and I think it’s very good for me. It didn’t crease and was still in place hours later.

I'm close to 50 & really enjoying this concealer. N1 is a perfect neutral shade for me. Wear a small amount with CT corrector underneath & no powder. On the other hand, the Dior concealer that so many love looks horrible on me. Dry, cakey & oxidises. What works for some, doesn't work for others.
I agree with you. The Dior is terrible on me. ND is much better.

62 years young and I love the coverage it gives. I heavily moisturize eye area first always. LESS LESS LESS is more of this concealer. I do use LM corrector with it first. Lasts a long time. My hardest challenge is finding a shade I like. I've exchanged it for shade twice already. Your eyes are glorious!

to me it looks like it doesn't sit well with the foundation
I agree with you…I have dry skin and it accentuated lines I didn’t know I had… I didn’t set it with powder either……I think someone in their 20’s may like it…..Thanks for the review ❤️❤️

My God, so many claims! If it made me loose weight i wouldn't ever need another thing in my life EVER! I find these hard to believe 😂
Brands are trying to set new records for the longest list of claims...
So many claims- all I want it to do is look nice and cover my dark circles! I also have no idea how to work out my shade - I don't need that much choice at the lighter end - spread them over the whole range!

I got this on launch day, along with the corrector. I find less is more with this. A tiny amount works without creasing, building it leads to creasing. If I use the corrector first it creases. I had high hopes as I love serum concealers but this isn’t as good as the Huda Glowish or the NYX one for me ❤

I haven't tried the 2 you mentioned but I've been using the Neutrogena radiant concealer. For drugstore it works great for me. I set it with the No7 lift and ultimate pressed powder. I use a brush like Charlotte. Every single time I do my under eyes I sit there in amazement. Before finding the Neutrogena concealer I was about to give up. Now that I have it I don't plan on purchasing anything else. I don't mind watching reviews but I'm not watching to buy, lol...

@@hanbeauty101 If you like a radiant, creamy concealer with a light to med coverage you'll like the Neutrogena concealer. I have a few fine lines but this concealer never settles into them. If you try it I do hope it works for you... 👍😉
I put a little color corrector first I have dark circles blend out nicely, add the concealer it’s perfection. I’m 47 years old and it works Great for me less is more.

This product works great for me- I use it everywhere BUT under my eyes

I'm 61 and maybe I'm not seeing something, yet I use concealer because I feel like I should... I just don't see lines/wrinkles under my eyes.... maybe I need glasses but I don't think it's necessary pass for me as well
I'm 70 and picked this up. Love it. No creasing or cakey mess. But I have to use a teeny bit and pat it in with a brush or finger. Perfection on me.

@@CharlotteHoldcroftDo you typically use two layers of concealer under your eyes? This is a highly concentrated formulation, so a few dots will do ya.
Speaking as an artist I’m just genuinely curious.

Thanks Char! So not for the under eyes on aging skin. Reminds me of hourglass. maybe we could use it for spot concealing? In a skintone shade or the color correcting shades this line offers? TBD
I just ordered this in N1 for my non-tanned color and N2 for my self-tanned skin. We’ll see how it goes, but it’s a good thing Sephora allows returns when something goes awry for you. If it doesn’t work, I’ll stick to my Shape Tape Ultra Creamy version, or the new Physicians Formula butter one.
UPDATE. I eventually bought this concealer. On me, it gives as much coverage as Haus labs. If you have blue/purple undereye, the peach tone one is GREAT, even though my skintone is neutral, the peach undertone works really well without looking warm. I find the ND one to be slightly longer wearing than HL and a touch less drying on 48 yr old undereyes. I didn't expect that!
Charlotte I was watching a video earlier about the eye lash serums with the budget dermatologist. The pro and cons. I thought about you because of your long lashes. You should see it. Is very informative. The concealer doesn’t look that bad. Thanks.

Ooooo, I was this 👌 close to getting this one yesterday. I bought the Gold palette (yep, she did a sneaky restock, so I grabbed it). Thankfully, I held off as I knew I hadn't seen enough reviews to know if it was suitable for my knackered undereye area 🤪
This is a definite no for me. All the negatives apply to me, so it would look positively horrendous on me. However, I'm thinking about getting the Dior concealer 😉

Hi, Charlotte!!! I’ve got N7 for me, I found the pictures of real people in ND website very helpful to find my match. Shadewise, the concealer is great. All the pros you mentioned I agree. But I’ve experienced the aging effect immediately after application 😢 I’m 54 and looked in my sixties to say the least. However, as I’m quite oily, after a couple of hours I think the product started melting in a good way and the under eye lines weren’t so obvious. Not a horrendous concealer, but I’ll stick to my HG Lancôme Teint Idole All Over and give the ND to my daughter 😂😂😂
I picked this one up and I really like it. I do find that a tiny amount will do. Definitely less than with most concealers. Coverage is great and I love the shade I picked (N1).

Different subject but last night i went mad and ordered the pat magrath mini pallete, after watching your vidio i really wanted to try it, so i keep watching that vidio so i can memorise your application. Obviously im 61 and my eyes are wrinkly but hey ho im going to give it a try. The colors looked stunning xxx

Can you tell me which of the huda, Dior, and the other are your favorite concealers because this is what happened to me with the Natasha Denona concealer. I was extremely disappointed and you are the ONLY one that I saw on TH-cam that gave a thorough review on this product. Everyone else raved and raved about this product but it made me look like I was 100 years old, so dry and creasy! I was so confused and disappointed. So thank you for your review and I would be thrilled to know which ones of your favorites don’t crease and you would recommend. I’m your age-ish and your skin tone.
With this one, I've found less is more. I've been really enjoying it as long as I use a very very small amount.
What happened to you is EXACTLY what happened to me. That’s how I came across this video trying to understand what’s going on after all the hype around this concealer. I’m 35 years old and it adds years to my complexion. I’ve been using this with the NARS Light Reflecting foundation. Wondering what foundation you’re using…

What was the Hot and Flashy concealer brush you used?
I bought it in N4 and it’s too dark so I’m using it for face concealing. I do like it, but not at much as my other ones.

Hi Charlotte , i think i will stick to my Dior as i have hardly used any so yes i have enough also i have charlotte Tilburys too which to be honest i don’t really like , i do use a colour corrector i use bobby brown also i have beccas too , so i have two to go at , but i have enough and need my pennies as i have two new kittens to pay for at the moment Half Bengal half siamese and they are turning my home upside down ! so yes their needs come first at the moment ! they are two little rascals ! twins ! but beautiful ! for my mature years i will omit this one . my love liz xxx ps My Dior is fabulous no issues at all for me its a 9
In my 70s I use the peach corrector as concealer and a light dusting of CT compact powder and it lasts without making my lines worse for 8 hours + happy with it, I use the hot and flashey brush too. 😂 old skin is very difficult and wouldn’t use concealer if I hadn’t got such bad colour on my under eyes, and I don’t want to frighten children😂😂😂😂 I wouldn’t build it that wrecks it. I love Dior concealer but cannot get a colour to suit. (I know I am not your age dynamic but just like your opinion on make up as an ex MUA. )😊
5:32 Soft Matte = Satin. The spectrum is matte, satin, dewey in the types available.
Hold on to that concealer for when you hit 40 & blurry vision comes in handy 😁😂

I’m a 50 year old dark skinned Black woman and this concealer is my Holy Grail. It is so creamy and blends like a dream. I have two of them: R9 and R8, both for red or rosy undertones. The R9 is a PERFECT match for my complexion: it is completely unclockable. Yet, it covers my sunspots and gives a BEAUTIFUL , luminous glow. The R8 is 1 shade lighter than my skin tone and is perfect for color correction and concealing. This girl does NOT crack, crease, or crumple. I find that I do not have to apply setting powder immediately to prevent creasing, too. She remains flawless until I wash her off. I’m now interested in R7 as a highlight shade. This is the one for me, y’all 🤷🏾♀️!

I popped in selfridges yesterday and was impressed when I had the sublimage concealer applied on me but they didn't have my shade! Anyways I think it's gone down a little in price? £85 but when I do get it it will last over a year. ND will be a pass for me. Great informative video as usual 👍
I have the Sublimage, use the tiniest bits and it is magic, I never think makeup is magic but for mr, this is ,,.and I am 71. And the jar will. definitely carry me for a year.

The Dior concealer is my HG. I've never had any luck with Natasha Denona products, to the point I don't even bother with them anymore. This concealer review fits in with my expectations of the brand

Shows how different skins are, Diorr was absolutely horrible on me dry and settled into every single lineI have which at 31 I dont have a lot. I have very dry under eyes and thought it'd be hydrating. And if Diorr was that dry on me I imagine this one would be awful
It appears Look Fantastic is the only site that's got this in stock....unfortunately, my shade N2 and the paler one N1 don't appear on their list. It starts at N4....bloody typical 😡!
I was really confused with the shades. I usually go for peach or neutral but they also have rose tones. I wish these could come in store to swatch. Findation tells my N5… but the model looks a lot lighter

Sorry in my opinion you don’t need as much as you applied. I’m 48 and I absolutely love it! I haven’t found a concealer that has worked so well in a very long time, however you only need a little bit. If you find it doesn’t cover your darkness I would recommend putting a color corrector underneath.

It’s £32 and a concealer. I can justify twenty ish pounds for something that really works on my mature under eye with dark circles but once something is over 30 pounds that is going some.

I don’t use powder with this concealer. It dries down well on its own. And yes use less.
Worse worse worse lol. It looked great at first then it creased and like you said made them look worse. I took it off and had some reaction. Red swollen everywhere it was. Nope gonna have to send back. I hate that I was soooooo sure I would love it. Even if I didn’t have a reaction it looked horrible. I love ND so I hate that for her. Not great reviews. She is a fabulous artist and I’m a big fan.
As I was watching you putting so much setting powder under your eyes I was thinking that is not going to do well. I have the same setting powder and I know how you can mess up any good or bad concealer with that amount of setting especialy if you are 40+ age like I also am.

The information on her site says "Optional set with powder" but the creasing would be awful if I didn't set it, so I don't agree that it sets itself 🤷🏻♀️
Charlotte, Iwon't be getting it then. My eyes are more lined than yours and powder makes them worse, so I will try the Dior as you recommend xxx
“If I were 20. . .” I’m 60 and I don’t think concealer even existed when I was 20. How did I survive? I do use it now but I think only because of youtube and the friendly Sephora saleswomen.
😂 right! When you’re young you should be enjoying your youth makeup free! I wore makeup only on special occasions when I was in my 20’s (I’m 41 now).

OMG, you're right! I did kind of notice that people kept praising the packaging, which baffled me since it's just a regular plastic concealer tube!
Maybe less is more? Give it another go with just one layer.

Overhyped over rated ! Use a little or less it’s just not worth it the amount they give you is horrible abh too faced are better and give you more product !
