I think the packed crowd of 6,000 people that attended the London olympic BMX finals would disagree...even Becks turned up, it was my favorite event to watch and i've never even ridden a BMX. Lots of excitement, thrills and of course spills. Maybe you were talking about dressage and got the videos mixed up ;)

Then please try supercross events. This is really hard stuff, and I wish that you would respect the efforts of the many athletes around the world who train for this. Honestly, most of the resources are a bit of metal, and a lot of dirt.
It's not necessary at all bu really makes the race interesting for the audience. From a BMX Racer myself, I don't even pay attention to the announcer in a race. It is completely blocked out.

"Trulyloyale" I'm sure youve never been on a bmx track because you'd understand what it takes to be able to set times like those on a track like that against guys like them. Bmx is a great sport, you can be a 10 year old kid racing with all your buddies then you get to talk to the pros an watch them race on the same track you just raced on (at nationals) but still to say its not a sport is ridiculous. A sport is an activity involving physical exertion and skill against others.
