Just reviewed your videos and I was pleased to see you were intrigued with Diana Ankudinova, as was I, even though I was most unhappy with everyone going gaga over the tommee profitt dark version of can't help falling in love. More of a vocal exercise than singing a song. I do want to mention one other vocalist who has been on the scene for the past twenty-five or so years, mostly with several bands, the most recent being the very popular (in Europe mostly) symphonic metal band Nightwish. This was not where I first heard (oh - haha - her name is Floor Jansen) her sing which was the beginning of her solo projects. The first was a rendition of Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poort and the second which reached my core, a solo of the song Shallow. Both were on a Dutch show, Beste' Zangers in 2019. Look, she is not exotic like Dimash or Diana. What she has in spades though is a mastery of her instrument. Not unlike Lara Fabian but with a more broader range of comfort in different genre's than Lara. You might find in your comment section, most people who talk about Floor do it in the same breath as Nightwish. Huge fanbase. And while they are very talented, I like Floor more along the lines of how Diana does it where the focus is on her, and not in competition with her bandmates. Live versions are so much more organic than recorded music so I'd point you in that direction. Just to give you a slice of her solo projects I'll post a list with links. (and look, the bottom line is this, I don't really care if you don't react to her, but you would be cheating yourself of someone special if you don't take a listen if just for yourself.) So, to promote Floor I'm going to take the liberty of posting a selected playlist of live performances that I consider the most enjoyable for me from her catalog of solo projects. 2019 - Beste' Zangers Solo cover of "Shallow" (Lady Gaga) - th-cam.com/video/M68pe4a_9zk/w-d-xo.html Duet cover of "Phantom of the Opera" w/ Henk Poort - th-cam.com/video/plCScjvDOJM/w-d-xo.html Classical, cover of "Vilja Lied" in German - th-cam.com/video/lcLG5X1i2QM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HUiy9AYavOrwSANH 2021 - solo Amsterdam Concert **You will find these are from her channel and the entire concert is there, professionally taped provided by her fans through crowdsourcing** "Storm in a Glass" - th-cam.com/video/7ax5nSPB9t8/w-d-xo.html "Slow, Love, Slow" - th-cam.com/video/bBG8GdyLYDk/w-d-xo.html "Nemo" - th-cam.com/video/Uebh4TuP_Xg/w-d-xo.html 2022 - Singles from her 2023 released solo album. Really enjoyed this reaction Sir Hairless! I'm a PMJ fan. They have done some brilliant, different covers. My favourites are probably Seven nation army, take me to church, all about that bass, Bad Romance and many others. They do 20s, 30, 40, 50s, 60, covers and others. Always with a cool twist. Look forward to hearing more reactions to them. I think you will enjoy doing them because they are musically very interesting.
I love the ‘jazzification’ of songs frequently present in the Postmodern Jukebox performances, and Haley surely delivered a beautiful and classy version of the classic ‘Creep’! It was wonderful to watch your reaction full of surprises and emotions, as well as your great discussion packed with juicy information. Another Postmodern Jukebox performance that deserves a future review is the duet between Haley and Puddles Pity Party performing ‘Mad World’ (I hope you’re not afraid of clowns because Puddles Pity Party is a very cool clown with a super-rich voice and a peculiar stage presence that I appreciate - another one by him that I absolutely love is his cover of ‘Royals’). Thank you very much, Sir (and the Patreon who suggested it)❣
That Mad World with Haley & PPP led me to PPP with PMJ covering Royals… which was my gateway to PTX Royals as the algorithm suggested… and then that led to Hallelujah and the deep dive into Pentatonix and associated tributaries If you can get past the 🤡 part, his voice is so rich and nice… quite liked his Sia cover of Chandelier too!
@@shelleyo Hello Shelley!👋Thank you for sharing your fortuitous and exciting journey towards the discovery of a lot of amazing music!✨Even though I’m not a fan of clowns, I really appreciate PPP’s vocal performances and I agree with you that his interpretation of Sia’s Chandelier is also great👌:)
Oh wow, another treat from Sir Hairless!! I've always been conflicted by Radiohead's Creep - so depressingly shattering, so sad and also irresistible. This arrangement and performance have put a different twist to it - thank you for your suggestion Christopher! And SH - you rock! Absolutely!! 👊🙏❤️
Haley was new to PMJ, so their fans didn’t know what to expect when Haley first asked to cover PMJ’s Creep arrangement in Lyon, France (the video is in TH-cam) It was the crowd response at the end which was what convinced Scott Bradlee to do something he’d not done before, re-record covers he’d already covered. So a few days after Lyon, they entered a Zurich studio in their day off and re-recorded Creep & All Bout That Bass & another cover (Haley participated in all 3, the 3rd song as a back up singer). Both the reimagined Creep & All About That Bass are #s one and two most viewed videos on PMJs channel. Haley’s PMJ covers make up most of PMJs most viewed videos. Don’t Speak was Haley’s most recent PMJ collab after a five year hiatus
Thank you. I love Postmodern Jukebox and I've loved Haley Reinhard since she was on American Idol. She knows how to transform a song into her own. So good! Thanks for explaining the differences between this and the original. Nice!
I am a HUGE Haley fan. As a result, I have watched countless reaction videos - which is how I stumbled onto yours. I really enjoyed your analysis! Sometimes it's fun just to hear, "This is great," or "No, I didn't really like this." But man, I really appreciated the effort you put into this. I learned a great deal and there were so many different aspects you touched upon. Thank you!
Beautiful song! One of my lifetime fave song. 🥰And this rendition super awesome. As a jazzy lover, it really caught me in. Thank you for your reaction and the details explanation, excellent as always 🙏🏻
It's PMJ!! Second favorite to VoicePlay, who also did a cover of Creep and its a totally different feel! Ok, I LOVED this, now do PMJ with Miche (Mickey) Bradon. Maybe Sweet Child Of Mine or anything she does by Prince. I'm telling you, stone cold diva! PostModern Jukebox is just so cool, they always have a fresh take, totally remake songs you know into something totally new. I love them! The formula is big band remix with a stone cold diva, it's just always a treat. And Hailey is amazing, that's not the first time she's done that scatting, she was so comfortable in that pocket! That was hot Haley! She did 7 Nation Army with PMJ too and it lives on repeat on my playlist. So glad you found them!!! More please!!
So many to choose from PMJ - Seven Nation Army, You may want to consider listening to Joni Mitchell singing A Case of You or comparing her singing the song she wrote Both Sides Now in her 20s versus her 60s. The later rendition is hauntingly beautiful.
I really enjoy your reactions and analysis. I watch a ton of reactors and you definitely bring something unique to the space. Thanks for the insight and education!
OMG!! What a fantastic song this is in this particular video with such an amazing analysis. WOW!! I am so happy my cousin told me about this. So wonderful to hear your reaction here. Isn't this a fantastic song?. " I want a perfect soul" is such an incredible sadness to believe. The soul is already perfect but the beliefs imposed from whoever and whatever are the real problem. 🏅
I love Postmodern Jukebox’s style of music. I’ve heard a couple different artists sing and they are all strong and expressive. You put the album cover of Patti Page on and it reminded me that I still have one of her albums from my dad’s collection. We enjoyed good music at home. Thanks for explaining how they mix meters between the band and the singer…interesting. Thanks for your lesson and time. Always appreciated! 🎶 Cyd
But that scat section! That jazzy sound! Wow! Love this song but had never heard this version! Mmmmm … is that vocal fry along with those growls? Idk! Awesome whatever you call it!
Love PMJ and Haley is definitely one of my favorite featured singers. Miche Braden is another of my favorite singers that performs with PMJ, and I have yet to hear an arrangement by Scott Bradley that I haven't felt was incredible. Love the concept of contemporary songs being done in a vintage style. So happy to see you react/analyze these artists and as always, enhance our listening pleasure and knowledge. Thank you for your time and analysis. ✌🤗
PMJ with Haley…Seven Nation Army (although this is my favorite). Morgan James also does amazing work with PMJ, specifically Dream On (Areosmith cover that I normally don’t like covers of). Haley, Morgan, and another girl whose name I have forgotten do a marvelous job of All About That Bass, and it includes another American Idol alum from Haley’s season, Casey Abrams (they did several jazz numbers on American Idol) on both vocals and stand up bass. Thanks for your analysis! I also enjoyed seeing you get really wrapped up in the music and almost forget to pause!
I enjoy noticing every reactor smile at the scat. But it is almost only the female reactors that are startled by how low Haley goes on the last "weirdo" - presumably because they inherently know how they would sound trying that note. Adam is certainly my favorite of PMJ's basses, and he is currently serving as music director (and bass) in the touring group, who I caught live last month when they were in New Hampshire. PMJ has many wonderful videos on TH-cam. You might, in particular, enjoy what they did with Aerosmith's "Dream On", featuring Morgan James (though there arealso a number of others featuring Haley).
Haley and PMJ are an awesome combination! As far as I know, their covers are recorded live, usually in a single take! My all-time PMJ favourites are 'Don't Speak' with Haley, and 'All About That Bass' with Haley, Morgan James and Ariana Savalas (daughter of TV's 'Kojak'!). Haley was brought up in a musical household, and her father taught her to 'scat' from an early age, so she's very comfortable doing that! By the way, there is percussion in the beginning, the drummer is playing very softly with brushes - it's a kind of running joke with PMJ that he's usually hidden behind the singer/s..! I'm so looking forward to seeing PMJ in my local theatre on 3rd May as part of their current tour! 🤩
Another great analysis! I love this version and have listened to it many times but to hear your analysis made me aware of so much more than what I've been hearing. Also, I love it when you get a surprise (like the scatting) that makes you smile.
There have been so many covers of Creep it's hard to keep up with them all. Must admit that showed a surprise of power in her voice that I wasn't expecting. As you are getting in to Voiceplay, it would be nice for you to compare their version of this song. It is my favourite version. Liberty's now. If you could listen to one of Dimash's shorter songs. Tu vas ma detruire. He sung it in 2016 whilst in Paris winning a competition before Singer. However, he sang it with a Kasak international opera singer & friend of his. He was 19 in this song. Carry on with these great reactions & music analysis. Through you, I am like you, rediscovering my music again. Unlike you it is the theory side that after not using for 30+ years is coming back to me. Thank you so much. 😋
I really enjoy a creative and transformed cover. Her voice suited that style perfectly. Ouf! What a key change! I couldn’t help thinking about old fashioned “stripper music”... lol I guess because of the time signature, the sliding trombone and the singer’s languorous way of singing. Great R&A.
I actually learned quite a bit more about music and sheet music than I ever understood before (or thought about understanding) from your detailed explanation. I have never had any talent in this area and now I understand that it was because I was ignorant of all the underlying elements. Thanks!
I always look forward to your reactions! Now that you're covering so many of my favorite artists I jump on youtube when I first get up and go straight to your channel so thank you very much for starting off my days in a great mood. I saw PMJ last month and their show was truly an experience. Comedy, tap dancing and of course incredible singers/artists. The crowd was great too, a LOT of people in 1920's garb. I highly suggest Old Town Road, it's not as popular as others but the singer is the legendary and incomparable jazz singer Miche Braden
Halley certainly can sing! “Creep” isn’t one of my favorite songs. Your observation that the chorus reflects self-loathing has changed my perspective. This cover, and your analysis, have changed my opinion. Thank you
My cup runneth over! I am a huge fan of Adam Lambert and PMJ. My life will be complete if someone requests Scarey Pockets. Anything PMJ does is so interesting and fun. Super clever arrangements and terrific musicians. Scarey Pockets is similar in that they take modern songs and turn them into funk arrangements. Also terrific musicians. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Thank you Christopher!
So many things about this version of this tune I love, starting with the live one camera, one take set up of all the PMJ videos. I love Scott playng the flutter when she sings "float like a feather”. The key change is miraculous, I’ve heard Dinah Washington slip an amazing key change in and then make a comment lyrically about it in song. Speaking of Dinah, Sarah, Ella , or any other great jazz singer, even though they all have great diction, they also elongate words for effect, I think Haley style takes after that with some rock elements as well e.g. raspy belts. I love her, she’s quite amazing.
As usual, your intricate analysis was outstanding. I personally think this specific performance is one for the record books. Everything... arrangement, vocal, instrumentals... everything just came together, resulting in a masterpiece! This was the best I've ever heard her.
I’ve been looking forward to you reaction and analysis of PMJ featuring Haley! She is extremely talented. She’s not your ordinary female vocalist, and I love her voice and style. Would love to see you analyze/react to a couple more of her with PMJ. White Stripes cover of “Seven Nation Army” and Soundgarden’s cover of “Black Hole Sun”.
I love PMJ with her too...and it's funny that some of my favorite VoicePlay songs are ones that she also covered (Black Hole Sun, Creep, and 7 Nation Army)....2 of which Eli from VP helped arrange. I need to ask him if he's a fan of her/PMJ
PMJ ❤ Another one of my favorite bands. Loved your analysis as always. They are worth digging into. They have a lot of different singers but Haley is just always phenomenal. Other PMJ suggestions are All about that bass, Bad Romance (percussion done by tap dancing), Oops I did it again, Toxic (Melinda Doolittle on vocals on that one) and as everyone else is mentioning Seven Nation Army.
It's amazing, I have discovered this one yesterday. Thank you for analysis. I was impressed by her vocal abilities and an arrangement. Haley's power, passion and some techniques (you mentioned mini-yodels) reminded me Diana Ankudinova.
I remember my first time seeing this video… stunning the way she moved in and made herself at home in this song. Haley & PMJ have more recently covered No Doubt’s Don’t Speak- (60’s style cover). I loved how it uses more instruments and has an entertaining character (not a 🤡…re my comment to Maria elsewhere here…..this time) on a couple instruments Definitely recommend it and some others in my Maria comment.
@@SirHairless Looonger list every day, I’m sure! “One day”… I’ve added multi-vits and more bicycle time in hopes of hanging around long enough for the ever-expanding list! Ha! 🎶
Wow, i am so happy to see react&analysis to my favorites❤ unpopular recommendation for next react - PMJ ft Olivia Cuper Harris, another great singer, for example "Life on Mars" or "What are you doing in New Years Eve". Whatever, i will be waiting for any PMJ🎷 they have too many sweet good things, oh, gosh💔
Liked your little intro duet with the manic 'chipmunks'! 🤣Can see /hear why The Hollies might have had a few questions. Nice Jazzy version. Pianist knows their stuff. I stand { sit ! } corrected, thought it had a '30's flavour... Yes, not a fan of sliding off correct pronunciation. You can Jazz slide/slur the word without losing bits of it - but maybe that's just me being an old schooler...😵💫
I've always felt that you are one of the best reactors showing your extreme knowledge !! I've been waiting for you to do this video with Haley Reinhart...who I think is currently the best female vocalist on the planet !!
I'm so stoked you reacted to Hailey and PMJ...they have such an amazing catalog that I think you would highly enjoy. I think you would enjoy Morgan James' collabs with them....she enunciates😅😅
Scott Bradlee is the genius behind PMJ. He has set the music world back 80 years with his 40s style instrumentation, harmonies and arrangements of current songs. and it.s one of the best things that could have happened. Not taking anything away from the superb vocalists A couple to look for - "Royals" with Puddles the clown (yes, that's not a mistake) "Dream On", and this one th-cam.com/video/bDlC9m1FDo4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EsCrebO4ASeuesFM
TY for this! My fave cover of Creep! PMJ & Haley are just magic together. Haley has a huge familial background in jazz, I believe, and is really in her element here.
Haley's high school music director noted when she was on Idol that "she's been exposed to a huge variety of music her whole life, and it shows comfortably in anything she attempts to sing." Her parents have had a band all of her life that plays classic rock. Her father was also in another band that said of him: "everyone will hear a lifetime of devotion to the blues, jazz and rock in the incredible, emotional guitar playing of Harry Reinhart." Haley was the first vocalist for her high school's jazz band, which performed at the Montreux and Umbria jazz festivals. She also studied jazz piano at a local community college before auditioning for Idol.
After reacting to all the Haley PMJ covers, especially "Don't Speak" you might want to check out Haley Reinhart, Slash, and Myles Kennedy performing "Wild Horses" by the Rolling Stones. It was at a celebration of Mohammed Ali's 70th birthday.
Haley is a perfect example of performing a song instead of singing a song. I prefer her with PMJ doing 7 Nation Army. Cold shower and a cigarette after that.
I believe if you really want to understand Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), you have to understand the man behind it, Scott Bradlee. He's in every PMJ video playing the piano and not looking at the camera. He doesn't normally seek the spotlight, just acts like part of the backing music, but once a long time ago, he actually made a video where he shows off his unique musical talents. The title, ["Twinkle, Twinkle" Piano Variations- Evolution of Popular Music] is deceptively boring, like his persona in PMJ videos, but I feel it is a demonstration of a unique genius: th-cam.com/video/-jDR14y19fQ/w-d-xo.html Definitely worth the watch.
one might say everything comes back again like fashion styles music styles come back, too. I like this 1940s, 1950s kind of music. Her voice and singing style is similar to another talented young woman, Angelina Jordan, I think she was mentioned a couple of times in the comments already.
Absolutely love PMJ, and Haley is spectacular. I had the pleasure of seeing PMJ in Asheville, NC and when they performed Hallelujah with Effie Passero I was practically in tears. Definitely worth a serious listen. There is a studio version that is beautiful, but I have to recommend a live recording like this one: th-cam.com/video/FCkNxSoQ0JQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eH-s-7da0DhBCpAh
Sir Hair,I'd love to recommend, if you're interested that is", in seeing another video & song of 'PMJ' + Hayley Reinhart performing "Seven Nation Army", a cover song from band "White Stripes". Vintage New Orleans Dirge White Stripes Cover ft. Haley Reinhart: th-cam.com/video/sB6HY8r983c/w-d-xo.html Thank you for your reaction, Sir Hairless
Self Loathing Plus! The thing about this performance that immensely impresses me and simultaneously completely scares me, is the under-current of absolute, downright loathing for the perpetrator of her pain. Haley's performance is a tour-de-force, almost schizophrenic display, of depression and fear about the situation her character is in, while at the same time seething anger and disgust at the person who she feels has put her in that place. Her slight voice inflections, facial expressions and head movements are traits of an amazing actor. We feel pity for her, anger for her tormentor, AND fear for his life. I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't have a future in acting. Or life imitates art and we'll read about her in the news where she snapped and eliminated a traitorous lover.
Another great PMJ song is Dream On by Aerosmith featuring Morgan James: th-cam.com/video/Yq4KA0mUnC8/w-d-xo.html This is a great reimagination of the song and Morgan absolutely kills it. Morgan is also amazing in her cover of Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer: th-cam.com/video/Axb7fF8nldU/w-d-xo.html
Any chance you could disect Justin Crum's version Creep on BGT th-cam.com/video/PPKjdTt-kKc/w-d-xo.html ( other versions not as great) and Vincint Cannady's version on The Four Finale th-cam.com/video/gPT3G1ABy4c/w-d-xo.html and thank you for knowledge, raw talent and humility.
PMJ rotates members so it's always changing. The name refers to the practice of making modern songs sound vintage. Haley was on American Idol and was rather forgettable till she picked up this old jazz nightclub singing style and that took off.
You should do VP version of Creep is the best version I’ve ever seen. I really want to hear your analysis of Voiceplay’s version. You always greatly increase my appreciation of the music I listen to.
Check out this reaction next! th-cam.com/video/-Rn6e8LnD10/w-d-xo.html

It was the crowd response at the end which was what convinced Scott Bradlee to do something he’d not done before, re-record covers he’d already covered.
Thanks for the info!
This is Haley, 1 take, in the middle of tour, with the flu.
That IS Impressive!
That's false, she was not sick. This rumor has been debunked.
I thought it was take 4?
she is my spirit animal
I haven't listened to many of them, but I enjoy your reactions that I have listened to!
Thank you!
Thank you 😊
Beautiful song! One of my lifetime fave song. 🥰And this rendition super awesome. As a jazzy lover, it really caught me in. Thank you for your reaction and the details explanation, excellent as always 🙏🏻
I'm so glad you reacted to this song!❤❤
Thanks a lot, dear Sir Hairless. I'm adore the song in this Postmodern and Haley performance. It was intresting video
Thank you
Great , love P M J and this tune is one of my favourite covers as it’s so very different and Haleys voice and attitude are wonderful. Enjoy 😊
Arrr that smile !!! i love your smile .... PMJ has a lot of very talented singers , pls keep digging on
She reminds me her style of singing is a Billie Holiday
YES! I knew I recognized the sound. Thank you.
I LOVE Haley Reinhart! I watched American Idol back then. She was one of my favorites! I love a female voice that has “rasp and soul” ❤️
Muchas Gracias Sir, es la mejor versión, te transporta directamente al cine de los 50, Haley Reinhart esta extraordinaria. 🎻🎺🇪🇸
Best time signature explanation out there.. Really love the breakdown of the elements in the song and composition..
Thank you. I very much enjoy hearing your analysis.
Great reaction video 🙂
What a wonderful review of the change ups and the differences. I've been away from music too long. Very much enjoyed this.
No skipping here Sir, always interested in what you have to say. Cheers
Another great analysis! I love this version and have listened to it many times but to hear your analysis made me aware of so much more than what I've been hearing. Also, I love it when you get a surprise (like the scatting) that makes you smile.
Appreciate your teachings. 🎉
Dude! You are frickin brilliant! Great reaction/analysis! I dig your play, man! Thanks!
I thougt i was only one who recommend that Performance to you, but i'm Happy more of the great members Love it too
Apparently they have a lot of fans here too
@@SirHairless speaks for your Community
Thanks!
Enjoyed your reactions to that scrunchy key change in the ending... Nice!! Perfect!
Was not expecting it
I always look forward to your reactions!
Thank you
Haley does a great version of I Put A Spell On You. 👍
PMJ has so many great arrangements and different singers and songs
Wow, I was going to recommend this one. What a great collab, isn’t it?!
Absolutely, one of my Favorits and i Love that Style
Brian Justin Crumb’s cover of Creep is my favorite.
Excellent review, noting the technical aspects, as well as some emphasis on the resulting emotional aspects of Haley's manner and performance.
Yes more of Postmodern Jukebox please. Scott bradlee is just an arranging genius and finds top notch talent to perform his pieces
As usual, your intricate analysis was outstanding. I personally think this specific performance is one for the record books. Everything... arrangement, vocal, instrumentals... everything just came together, resulting in a masterpiece! This was the best I've ever heard her.
16:50. Oh what power this is! She reminds me of our late Amy Winehouse. ‼
Recommend any Nightwish song from Wacken 2013 concert.
And, of course, you are now open to compare & contrast Voiceplay's arrangement of Creep 😊 🇬🇧
Thanks, loved your response and analysis.
Appreciate it, thanks for watching and for the support 🙏
Haha yes I saw the comment, have added these to my list! A lot of new artists and their songs on my list now 😅 One day!
One of the best reaction videos on TH-cam 😊
Liked your little intro duet with the manic 'chipmunks'! 🤣Can see /hear why The Hollies might have had a few questions. Nice Jazzy version. Pianist knows their stuff. I stand { sit ! } corrected, thought it had a '30's flavour... Yes, not a fan of sliding off correct pronunciation. You can Jazz slide/slur the word without losing bits of it - but maybe that's just me being an old schooler...😵💫
i think you will really like their version of " all about that bass" ...
I've added it to my list!
@@SirHairless home free now has their own version of "all about that bass" it's wild!
I recommend the “Habits” cover of PMJ featuring Haley Reinhart
Great review! The key change is amazing.
I've always felt that you are one of the best reactors showing your extreme knowledge !! I've been waiting for you to do this video with Haley Reinhart...who I think is currently the best female vocalist on the planet !!
Thank you
I adore Haley Reinholt, she's Otherworldly.
Thanks for your break downs. I get so much more out of a song after your vids.
I'm so stoked you reacted to Hailey and PMJ...they have such an amazing catalog that I think you would highly enjoy. I think you would enjoy Morgan James' collabs with them....she enunciates😅😅
Haley and Morgan James together really beautiful as well
Scott Bradlee is the genius behind PMJ. He has set the music world back 80 years with his 40s style instrumentation, harmonies and arrangements of current songs. and it.s one of the best things that could have happened. Not taking anything away from the superb vocalists A couple to look for - "Royals" with Puddles the clown (yes, that's not a mistake) "Dream On", and this one
th-cam.com/video/bDlC9m1FDo4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EsCrebO4ASeuesFM
I love her voice, especially in this one. I've watched the original a LOT lol
Her father was also in another band that said of him: "everyone will hear a lifetime of devotion to the blues, jazz and rock in the incredible, emotional guitar playing of Harry Reinhart."
Haley was the first vocalist for her high school's jazz band, which performed at the Montreux and Umbria jazz festivals. She also studied jazz piano at a local community college before auditioning for Idol.
I like how you used a snippet of the “Groove Armada” track in your 50’s style example. 👍
Haha yes! I first heard the song as a sample in Groove Armada's "At The River" 🎶
@@SirHairless I saw them play it live, excellent musicians but only a few of their songs clicked 👍
@@georgelynch6139 I saw them live too, we thought they were quite underwhelming as most of their music was a very different style to what we expected
After reacting to all the Haley PMJ covers, especially "Don't Speak" you might want to check out Haley Reinhart, Slash, and Myles Kennedy performing "Wild Horses" by the Rolling Stones. It was at a celebration of Mohammed Ali's 70th birthday.
the skat was refreshing
Very
Haley is a perfect example of performing a song instead of singing a song.
The fashion and music from the 50s
☄️
You should react to their cover of thrift shop. Specially react to the piano work on that song.
PMJ/Haley "Don't Speak"!!
Haley Reinhart: th-cam.com/video/sB6HY8r983c/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for your reaction, Sir Hairless
PMJ & HALEY REINHART SEVEN NATION ARMY - NEW ORLEANS DIRGE STYLE
Nice
React to more PMJ featuring Haley🎉❤
Nutsa Buzaladze Creep All together now, please
Recommend anything by PMJ w/ Haley or Morgan James (there is one with both).
You can go wrong with anything by Haley or Morgan James when it comes to PMJ.
PMJ rotates members so it's always changing. The name refers to the practice of making modern songs sound vintage. Haley was on American Idol and was rather forgettable till she picked up this old jazz nightclub singing style and that took off.
She does sound sultry and a little bit off key but I think she's doing that purposely, I like it.❤
You should do VP version of Creep is the best version I’ve ever seen.
I really want to hear your analysis of Voiceplay’s version. You always greatly increase my appreciation of the music I listen to.
I plan on doing it in the future at some point! Have a few other VP reactions lined up for the near future first
