    So face the truth, there are always reason if you want to invade some country. The us basically invade iraq because they said "there were mass destruction weapon" it turned out there were nothing. so don't tell me"they need a reson" Besides North Korea is constantly giving them reason. If you know the situation, you will know the US did not invade north korea because the north korean had a nuke, that's why

    Assuming things, The tibetans don't call them self chinese because they want to be independent, but people from outside still call them chinese. The hans and the Manchu and the Mongolians often call themselves chinese.
    Second of all, it does not matter how many countries was in the Soviet as long as the only authority or the highest authority is the soviet ccp, just like the highest authority nowadays in china is the ccp.

    @ShantyManCan Japan isn't allowed to keep a military, this is a self defense force so on a technicality it does not count as a military force, and so this is technically catagorized a civilian parade. none of the general public in Japan has any interest in the military anyways and prefers to keep the military small. So these "parades" are more of an exercise than a parade.

    @FallenLightx no they weren't. but a lot of the Red Army's strength was in its sheer number. I mean, whose army could take on a force that's 30 million strong?

    Well, northern Italy (Tyrol) really doesn't belong to Italy -the people are quite distinct, but was part of the Astrian empire/Germany. Old treaties broke up this land ("See "London Pact" etc).

    I came here from China's military parade, and this looks so insignificant, almost as if the Japanese do not care! Is this because this is a small parade? Or is it because of the military limits on Japan?

    you noticed that military parade in communist nations always are held in wide spaces and and composed of half ass trained and goose stepping soldiers, thinking that if their military show's are grand it will make the world think that their military are superior, while you got modest military like Japan who's parade are modest but their soldiers are resolute and skilled.. nuff said..

    @ComradeMing I never said anything that is related to Tomoesong's posts. And no, regardless, the Chinese failed to make Korea part of their land for centuries and will never do so. The DPRK isn't even considered a vassal state to the Chinese - just a meatshield. And how is the ROK "Uncle Sam's Bitch"? Hm? I don't see the US making all the economic, military, political, social decisions in the ROK.

  • @joji64theninja
    @joji64theninja 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @lukebccb well. can't argue with that. The Imperial Japanese Army was grossly underfunded and undertrained, mainly because of that condescending view of the Asian front, but also from the competition between the Imperial Navy. The War Cabinet didn't feel it necessary to fortify an army fighting against the "inferior" Chinese when their navies had to fight the American and British fleets. Japan was always terrible at land battles post 1869 anyways.

  • @WorldOfLove2
    @WorldOfLove2 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    There was a video that i think the USO made some time during the war. The Germans were a militeristic country so thats all they knew. The Germans feel like crap for what they did in the war. When i was there i only saw the flag maybe 4 times compair that to switzerland where i saw it all the time. You have to realize that Germany was in a horrible state at that time. Communists, Nazis and other political parties fighting in the streets. It's the governments to blame not always the people..

  • @j12torts
    @j12torts 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    man if the Japanese didnt lose the war, they would be boot clicking in this parade with pride but unfortunately the US and its allies changed history and beat them....too bad Japan and yes you should be sorry to the crimes you did in the Philippines

  • @SuperBomber01
    @SuperBomber01 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @ComradeMing 90% And yet, the Chinese suffered the most military casualties. Their objective was to occupy all of Korea, and they failed. It was a stalemate. That's the truth. And how was Korea 'owned so badly' by the Japanese in WW2? Korea wasn't even a combatant so I don't see why it can be counted.
    Oh and yes, speaking of which, the Chinese commies and nationalists even fought against each other while fighting the Japanese XD That is some real political fragility there.

  • @timlandrun7913

    You don't have to call the Japanese "racist inbreds". Saying a generalised comment like that makes you the hypocrite. I've been to Japan many times, and even though I don't speak a word of Japanese, I have always been respected and treated incredibly well; better then any other country I've been to. I really don't see why you seem to have so much hate for this country. You seem to have commented on every JSDF Video on TH-cam, saying something awfully derogatory and disrespectful. May I ask why?

    Thank you for your response. You are the one who needs to learn more about history, it was not Russia, it was Soviet Union and Britain and America kept sending tanks and weapons for the Soviet because America had a very mass production capability. I think the reasons that the US hasn't declared war on North Korea is not because they fear because the united nations will join her anyways - there must be some other reasons,because I am not Obama. I don't assume things like you, sir.

  • @joes.809
    @joes.809 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    It is like calling the allied forces as British or American. OK, let me clear the point, Soviet Union is abbreviated to USSR, it existed from 1922 - 1991 ruled as a single-party state by the Communist Party with Moscow as its capital. During the World War 2, they were called "the red army ". The Soviet union consists of 15 countries including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus,Georgia and the others.. hmm with all due respect, who misses the point now?

  • @SirHungryHippo
    @SirHungryHippo 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    You made up that definition -_-
    look in the dictionary bro...conquering is "overcoming or taking control of a place by military power"...which is EXACTLY what happened to japan 1946
    American occupation of Japan is no different than the American occupation of Iraq or Afganistan.

    No offense to your grandfather in law, but sometimes it does not matter about how he think, it only matters about who is the majority or who is the one that has power. In that case, the Russians were the majority, so they were together referred as Russians.

  • @derektosuccess4417
    @derektosuccess4417 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    As i mentioned, the Soviet Union was the highest authority, no other authority in the USSR can go against the Soviet. kind of like the Eastern Germany, it has its own government, but we all know that government takes soviet's order. Again no offense to you Grandpa in law, i will probably not wanna go to war if my country is in conflict, but it's not up to me to decide, if everyone can decide wether or not they should fight, that country is indefensible

  • @joes.809
    @joes.809 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, you are implying that nobody takes on North Korea because they have nuclear monopoly? And to enlighten you, everything happens for a reason, it depends if it can be told or not - it is as simple as that. I apologize maybe you cannot understand that a little complex thing.

  • @ThomasAH
    @ThomasAH 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    You Koreans really have an issue. Yes, Japan has done wrong things in the past, However, this is a long time ago and Japan apologized many times for it. It's time to forgive Japan, just like we (The Netherlands and other European nations) forgave Germany for their aggression during the Second World War. So,can you Koreans please stop complaining about Japan in every Japan video there is? Thanks.

  • @derektosuccess4417
    @derektosuccess4417 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    You obviously missed the point, the Russian were the soviet at that time, same place, same language just different authority, you were saying that Germany was defeated by the allies, and yes they were, but majority of that was the contribution of the Russians( i called it Russians not USSRens because no one calls it like that, and beside most of the historian still refer the soviet in cold war as Russians) not the Americans of the British, so Germany was basically defeated by Russia

    @ComradeMing Oh and another thing - the Chinese, specifically the Later Yan Dynasty had their sorry asses kicked and wiped out by Korea's Goguryeo Dynasty, partly due to the fact their leaders were incompetent. Even the Tang Dynasty couldn't fully occupy Goguryeo's land, even though the kingdom itself had collapsed XD.

    No, I still don't think so. My grandfather-in-law went to serve the Red Army, too, I am proud of him, he was not Russian. You should learn more about geography or something. The Tibetan, for example, as I know they don't call themselves as Chinese. Don't assume things, I have been to China many times, I learn from that. Please go to Google "Soviet Union" and see how many countries combined together. You cannot call them Russian because they weren't. Just use your brain cells before you answer.

  • @Youtuber111-p2x
    @Youtuber111-p2x 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Floodlezoot sure. they are our allies.

  • @derektosuccess4417
    @derektosuccess4417 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    First of all, Russia alone basically defeat the Germans, your obviously need to learn more about history, and if you see the world clearly, you will see the Russia does not stand with the United State. Second of all, the strongest army with nuclear capability? They don't even dare to declare war on North Korea, North Korean does not even have a missile that can reach US mainland, and yet all they can do is so little.

    Clearly we all now the Russian people were the people who defeated Germany, Russia alone basically represents the vast amount of Soviet's territory.
    Let me give you an example, you call china china now, but thousand years ago, you still call it china but technically it's not china it's some dynasty. but you don't stay china, Qing dynasty, you just say china in general, beside in Qing dynasty I don't even think they called their country "china" (i am not sure but i think they don't)

    To say Vietnam is strong, and the Soviets are strong (now day Russia), whilst claiming Japan is weak; is like stating a Lion is weaker then a Cockroach. Vietnam is communist, but that does not make it strong. Have a look at the economy of Japan and the United States, in comparison to Russia or Vietnam. Now a days, it's the economy which decides how modernised your army can be, hence the difference between Japan/US to Russia/Vietnam.

    Dude, grow some brains. German tanks are impressive 'cause they're like engineering geniuses but the M1A2 Abrams isn't too shabby compared to the German Leopard 2's. In terms of number the US has a hell of a lot more tanks. USAF dwarfs the German airforce in terms of number as well. Navy ships? I'd like to see a ship that can bring more fire power than the US aircraft carriers. All of the US armed forces employ modern technology and in terms of global deployment, USA is the best equipped.

  • @SuperBomber01

    @ComradeMing Comfort women? Get your facts straight - the vast majority of comfort women were CHINESE XD. And the KMT fought both the PRC and Japan - and still, they fought against most of Japan's forces. including their elite divisions while the commies fought mostly against unreliable Manchurian conscripts and lower-quality divisions of the IJA. That isn't very impressive.

    USA, British and Japan? no offense, but US and its 17 allies being driven back by the Chinese all the way back to 38 parallel line in the Korean war, and china was much more weaker compare to now, now it has nuclear capability and second largest economy. what makes you think that Britain, US and japan can win a war which 17 countries plus the US couldn't win back in the Korean war?

    Yes, I accept that I didn't know about Kosovo war and again it was the Soviet union, not just the Russians. Yes, the German soldiers died most during the Eastern front battle, I do know that. And, sir, again check your history, I didn't say that the Soviet wouldn't win - but it would have been harder without the US and British support. You can laugh whatever you want,the joke is on you. Check your history that it was the Soviet not Russian.. very simple fact, but you miss out on that many times.

    Not quite. The US has bowed to the Japanese Emperor ever since. They have fought all their advisories, though never winning a decisive victory (losing really fucking bad) and now they attack their civilians with airplanes, mock-kamikaze style. I say its been really fucked for the US ever since they tangled with Japan and signed an armistice.

  • @SuperBomber01

    @ComradeMing Furthermore, ROC forces were still lacking heavily in tanks, AT guns, aircraft and warships as well as intelligence assets - they were NOT a modern army.

    Check your history, the Russian was the key to victory, approximately 9 out of 10 Nazis were killed in the eastern front, just Google it.
    Second all of, you obviously did not know the war Kosovo war, the US first went to the UN but it got rejected then the US then launched the military operation as one of the member of NATO. So you said the "UN will join her anyways" i laughed cuz in Kosovo, the UN did not, and yet the US bypassed the UN and launched the military operation.

    @hiashiro1 you should also do some research on the consensus of the general public in Japan. NO ONE in there right minds in Japan, besides the extreme nationalists, want to rearm Japan. Everyone viewed World War 2 as a terrible catastrophic disaster of a war. NOBODY wants anything to do with war. It's actually pretty sad, in my opinion, on how pacifistic the nation has become. I want them to at least have some pride in their defense force.

    Imagine the end of hunger and poverty the world over. This could be easily accomplished with less than one quarter of the money that is now used for military spending. The future really can be ours, all it takes is the people of the world willing to co-operate and tell their respective governments that its time to try something new. The age old tradition of death and destruction doesn't work.

    How would you know that what you have learnt is not a propaganda? What do you have to prove that? You were born in that time and fought the war? You were the government in that time? Every country (during the war) makes themselves a hero. Don't tell me you know everything correctly because you have just learnt it from some sources like me. One thing about me is, I don't say that I know something for sure unless I have a true information like the Soviet Union is not ONLY Russia.

    You, sir, need to learn more history before saying this. I respect the Chinese army but you cannot defeat the allied army. Look at Nazi regime, they were the strongest but not the match for many countries combined together. And now most powerful armies have nuclear capability.

    @ComradeMing Noted, I said "If you're referring to nuclear weapons" - I didn't directly say 2000 warheads were all nuclear but simply assumed so, given your poor English.

    @3SRBIJACCCC woh woh woh, not at all. Not for a long time. Japan are utterly independent, they have the good grace not to have asked the US to fack off out of their country. Its ridiculous that America still throws its weight around forcing military bases (and presence) on other countries. Its basically just trying to hold on to an Empire like stance and emanate the British Empire.

    The US policies on Japan.. is that they must not build a SIZE of a military
    that would seem to threaten any country in the region.. its main purpose must be defensive.. However Japan's new proposal of spending 4% of their GDP now in military instead of the current 1% is quite a new step.. The news is spreading that Japan wanted to increase its budget to $200bn +
    However that does not guarantee of increase in size of troops

    Quite honestly it's in both soldier and equipment. China's army is to large for every soldier to be outfited and trained as well as other nations. Such a large military with the budget they have for it theres no way they can spend can outfit and train soldiers like Japan can. Such numbers will there down fall anyway, Sun Tzu states this himself in the Art of War.

    And for the propaganda thing, i was born in Taiwan and then i went on to study in Canada, i have taken both countries' history lessen. Some are bias, and some aren't, that why you do your research on internet, because internet is way more reliable than the things in your textbook.

    This is an army? They don't look like an army to me. Did they even participate in any campaign in the last 20 years? I wouldn't know.
