I have to say, TPR videos are a great way to research if certain parks are worth a visit. I'm traveling to Pittsburgh and have an extra day, so a Kennywood visit is a must thanks to this POV!
Just went on it yesterday. It is a very, very good coaster. One of the best. That first drop is something but that second one is the real one. Not to mention the sheer speed of this coaster. This is one of the fastest coasters in the world. The speed you have when you are about to go down the second drop is epic. Lots of air time and very intense.
Coasterkid14 unfortunately they replaced the first drop of the ride with Morgan track as well now, so the only original arrow track left from the steel phantom is in the station and up the lift hill

I love the sound of the lift, normally the lift isn't my favorite part but I love how it slows down right at the top and it feels like its gonna get stuck :)

This is why one of their guys was banned from TPR events and I know of at least three parks that have taken issues or been upset over the videos they have posted. Didn't they recently post some illegal Cedar Point POV footage? Is that footage still on their channel? I'd be surprised if it still is.

@JesSeales 96dominoes is wrong, the second drop is MUCH larger than the first one, since it drops down into the ravine. The first is 160' and the second is 228'.
What Robb said is actually true. Ever noticed how in most CF videos that the video starts near the end of the lift hill? That's because filming leaving the station is too risky and there's CCTV at the beginning and mid-course of the lift hill. (1/2)
@TheMousejones I'm not mad. It's just not a very good practice to break park rules and lie to your viewers about how you go about getting your footage.
@hauntedmadness9000 Haha! That is not the rail! That is a flat platform that runs around the entire perimeter of the track so inspectors can inspect the track for cracks or loose bolts.

LOL it takes a full minute to go up the first tower, then another minute to go the whole ride LOL wow, intense looking ride. Film that stuff in 3D man, LOL that would be epic.
They both use HD but CF is so crap at holding cameras that you can barely see the track 89% of the time. Robb has been using his technique for years providing us with the best footage available.
You'd be pretty surprised how many videos there are up on TH-cam that have been illegally filmed and no-one notices. I found one of THE SWARM at Thorpe Park and reported it. What makes it even better, the idiot even explained how he did it in the comments section. Robb, and other TPR members, set an example for others, that way you don't get banned from the park. (2/2)
Sorry I always thought the Original Steel Phantom Was much better. The people who complained about it being painful didn't listen to the warning about keeping your head back on the seat, if you didn't the phantom would play pong with your head. because of this we had to water this once great coaster down for people who cant read or follow directions.
@themeparkreviewTPR I don't really follow CoasterForce either because they have a tendancy to make fun of the rides they've been on and say this ride is and that ride is better, but that is someone's oppinion and also they are a bit sarcastic when you get some info wrong.
No. I've been subbed to coasterforce for 2 years now and seen hundreds of their videos. Basically all of them start in the station, never at the end of a lift hill. They're not illegal, that's my point. If anyone's lying here, it's TPR.

And give me at least 3 links to coasterforce videos that start even midway up the lift hill, because I'm pretty sure there are none. Even if they do, they almost always end in the station.

Yeah, but coasterforce has more povs of roller coasters from the US. Plus, it seems kind of dumb that TPR would say coasterforce films without permission and lies. They have over 1,000 videos, so I'm pretty sure someone would've figured it out by now and their videos would be removed.

@TheMousejones Oh yeah, thats true, because everywhere the filmer for coaster force walks a giant sign hangs over him that say's "I AM FROM COASTER FORCE" I also find it ironic that they used to have Cedar Point footage, and now it all mysteriously disappeared. Coasterforce sucks, and they are illeageal. TPR is where its at.

when i was little and still afraid to go on coasters i thought the people on the roller coasters were dropping glass beer bottles:D

Actually, CF gets permission to film beforehand, if he didn't he would not film the ride departing from the station, as he does in most videos.
@betome27 I think the coaster you're looking for is Gravity Max in Discovery World Taiwan. It's a one of a kind roller coaster.
The humps are the worst my back needs like 2 days to heal. But the ride and park is amazing. Giving that I live literally 5 mins away.

Because when the ride had the inversions, it had over-the-shoulder restraints and there was a lot of headbanging.
