I bought mine recently and had a really hard time taking it off, I thought they had redesigned it so it didn’t do that anymore. Turns out I wasn’t using enough force. I used the boiling water trick for about a minute and used pliers to get it open. It was so easy. The cap does have little prongs, as well as the bottle to lock, so I grabbed a blade and shave all of them off. It opens like a regular cap now and I can keep refilling it no problem.
I bought a cheap strap wrench at canadian tire years ago, for opening jar lids that were on too tight. Just used it on a swiffer bottle last night to do this trick. worked great.
the cap should be aligned properly for the punching needle to hit the right spot. On the next bottle mark the cap and the bottle with a pen, and then when you put the cap back on, make sure the marks align
Thank you! 😊
I just found reusable pads at my dollar tree ! It was a big dollar tree I was excited 😂 they are actually good quality
How long ago did you take the cap off? Did they redesign the bottles?
