May I suggest looking up the rise of Daniel Bryan. The rivalry of CM Punk vs. John Cena. And some compilations such as "Best of NXT" (which was, for several years, literally the best wrestling show in the world).
I already respected the hell out of Triple H but after seeing how involved and passionate he is behind the scenes, He really was the best man for the job.
Had Bobby Eaton not passed away quite early the Midnight Express would be in the Hall of Fame together with Corny already. Cornette said it on his pod that Vince told him he has a home in WWE. Had Vince given the go-ahead right after Corny inducted the Rock & Roll Express, the Midnights would be in the Hall. Corny, Dennis, and Stan lost Bobby and it won't amount to much even if somebody high up in Stamford tried convincing them to be inducted in WWE's HoF. Ig that's that.

This is one of the best pieces of content and production ive ever seen. Honestly movies, shows, youtube videos or anything I came back to WWE on accident the night of the royal rumble and i felt something ognite the kid in me and revived the younger me i had lost. Thank you Paul (Triple H)

You know I'm sitting here watching this and it's SO SO SO awesome to know that this isn't just a job for everyone involved. Seeing the passion of the performers about EVERYTHING it just, I can't even put into words. It just means so much to me that as a fan everyone making this happen is a fan at heart too. I almost feel like the "it's still real to me" guy and the passion that he felt in that moment. I feel that passion now while watching this seeing everyone's passion in making this happen. I just want to say thank you everyone in the WWE for providing such a wonderful experience to me for all these years!
I actually went back & watched that promo after this. You could see their was something bothering Cody that none of us the fans understood. People need to remember that this wasn't just a "2 Year story" for Cody, this has been a very real story for him since he was 8 years old. This gave it all the context. 💯

The most beautiful thing of all this was despite knowing that Night 2 would be his last as "The Champion" holding that belt, still Roman never let that smile wipe off from his face. He was ready to do everything for the business, the product and us fans. Truly, "Professional Wrestling" is beautiful and I love it man 🤗

The WWE fan inside of me was dead back in 2018 when likes of Shinsuke Nakamura were winning Royal Rumbles, this whole story just made me come back to follow what I have loved throughout my childhood. Beautiful!
What really got me about this is how Cody was talking after he went out and said he wouldn't fight Roman at WM, and how he talked about having faith in the fans. Because look what it got us - and got him.

HHH might have the most iconic and decorated career in wrestling history other than Vince. The top heel in the most popular era in wrestling history during the attitude era, was a part of one of most successful factions in DX and best friends with founders of the other most successful faction in NWO with Nash and Hall, spearheaded the coolest brand in WWE during its terrible years in the late 2010s with NXT, and now running the show in WWE. Now they are going into Netflix which is going to be a brand new era. This dude is on top of the wrestling world right now, and we are super lucky to have him!
The man literally started a new golden age of professional wrestling. Ever since the attitude era (and Daniel Bryan road to wrestlemania) I have never been this excited to see what WWE shows have for us next week.
When normal people watch wrestling fans like us getting choked up and emotional about wrestling, they think it’s weird for somebody to get so invested in people in underwear fighting for belts. You have to have gone through the entire journey and love professional wrestling to truly appreciate all the entertainment it provides.
Wrestling is basically just an exaggerated TV show about sports at the end of the day. It's hard to explain,but when people can engage with the story, everything starts to seem completely natural
This entire story was emotional for me.. i was invested and there was someone who would have loved seeing this.. he passed away one day before windham rotunda did.. i told him a week before he died that cody was gonna win at mania.. i just didnt know how crazy it was gonna be.. he would of loved it….he was a fan of the rock and roman… seeing cody win with my dad,sister and im pretty sure my best friend who i always watched raw and niteo with every monday night back in 98-99 was with me… he would of loved this for sure

It was amazing how this all evolved in real time from Rhodes-v-Reigns, to Rock-v-Reigns, Rhodes-v-Bloodline+, to Rhodes&Rollins-v-Bloodline+, evolving from one Wreslemania main event, to another, to TWO main events. And the role the fans plaid in demanding Rhodes be given the chance to finish the story at WM40... It's an amazing story of Art imitating Life imitating Art imitating Life.... WOW! As a longtime fan, I'm so glad it went the way it did & that all of the huge egos behind the scenes had the foresight to navigate the MANY questions of WM40.
I have watched WWE for 20 years and in my opinion this was the greatest Road to Wrestlemania of all time. The build up was amazing and the payoff was just was great. Thank you HHH and those behind the scenes

Rock is the boss now, literally has a seat on the board, is childhood friends with the CEO, and the owner of the parent company is his old agent. And Rock STILL got outpoliticked by HHH. It's all about the game.
This doc could have been 2 hours easily and I would have still watched it. This was worth the wait. It was so cool to see the brotherhood between Triple H and The Rock.
Exactly and so many are missing that point. I will never forget the dirty tactics Cody was using and the death threats The Rocks daughter recieved by a sector of his fans.
They took one of the most short sighted bad calls in wrestling history that could've possibly derailed Cody's career and turned it into one of the best payoffs ever. It reminded all of us why we love wrestling. We love the skill, the athleticism, the story telling, how when it's done right, it gets you emotionally invested in the story and can make you cheer and cry in the same match. Well done to everyone involved.
Words will never be enough to describe how grateful I am to have witnessed this historic event in person. Growing up we didn’t have a lot of money, so attending events like this was a near impossibility. However now being more in control over my destination in life, I was able to wait on tables for an entire summer to cough up the 2 grand it took to attend this event… Thankfully it’s one more thing to cross off the bucket list. I’ve always dream of being apart of Wrestlemania (legitimately) in a professional capacity, in fact I even wrestled for 7 years on the independent circuit but had to stop due to the birth of my daughter. I have no regrets whatsoever, buuut that fire inside- that passion won’t rest until I here “Yay” or “Nay” from the WWE directly. I can’t tell you how tough it was watching Austin Theory in the ring at WM 40 knowing we used to wrestle in the same company together… Feeling like you should be in there too, and more importantly knowing you have what it takes to be in there too and win that honest Philly crowd. But WWE’s cut off age is 30 and sadly I discovered this at 30. It was the hardest thing professionally I’ve ever read. Knowing the sacrifices I made during those ages of acceptance to be apart of WWE as a performer (my mid and early twenties) to help care for my ailing mother who is now at stage 4 in her fight against cancer. But again, no regrets. Thankfully guys like Diamond Dallas Page and Batista are real motivators in showing it doesn’t matter how old you are… If you have it, then no one can deny you. This time at Wrestlemania it showed me that no matter what, it’s possible. And THAT is what truly saved me from the domesticated, submissive, 9-5 mindset… Going home every night unfulfilled. I refuse to let myself become every thing I am not. Hopefully WWE will allow a guy who’s above that 30 year age limit a chance to show his worth to attend the club. 🙏 I pray for this. And thank you Paul Levesque for a beautiful memory at WM 40 that will stay with me forever.

Punk winning was too predictable and he only got injured mid match so they couldn't have known if his injury was severe enough to change the ending of the match. Also, Cody pointing at Roman right after the win seemed very predetermined. My head cannon is that Rock signed up to be on the TKO board with having a Mania match with Roman as a bonus deal. Hunter probably didn't want that, that's why he gave the rumble win to Cody and made him choose Roman right away instead of building drama. So when Rock came back and Cody gave up his spot, the crowd turned on him and we got the whole Cody Crybabies movement.

People hate on Rock for his ego which is understandable, but he's always been able to read the room and know when it's time to adapt. Mania X8 against Hogan, he was supposed to be the babyface but he saw the crowd reaction to Hogan, so he played the heel and called the match with him in the ring. Ended up giving a match for the ages that ended with Hulkamania running wild one more time.

assuming everything in this video is real, and not a work, this is a great look at how WWE, more specifically HHH uses the audience to adjust the storylines in real time. It's a masterclass in knowing when to give them what they want, and knowing when to subvert their wants to elevate them into an even better story.
At least the Rock realized this isn’t the time for the big dream match. It’s Cody’s time. He wanted all of the fans to be happy. Not just 3/4 of the fans while you got the other quarter pissed. So props to him.

This gave us possibly the best 3 month stretch of storytelling EVER. Everybody was locked in also and delivering all time promos of there careers and 10/10 character work. It all culminated in possibly the most entertaining, shocking and chaotic and Dusty styled final 10 minutes. The final minutes of Mania was the greatest ending to a Mania ever arguably. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy in Cody also.
That was peak writing, less filters, great build up and match execution!! 👏👏👏 Really hope WWE can consistently keep this up moving forward like how it was in the attitude era 🙏🙏🙏
Im 30 years old man..I’m a HUGE Rock fan. Ever since i was a kid. I haven’t been this invested in a storyline since Rock vs Austin in the Attitude Era.
Over 20 years of watching wrestling. I cannot tell you how it felt when that 123 hit my tears just flowed naturally. The greatest feel good story. Wrestling done right is the most beautiful thing

Seeing the passion of the performers about EVERYTHING it just, I can't even put into words. It just means so much to me that as a fan everyone making this happen is a fan at heart too. The WWE fan inside of me was dead back in 2018 when likes of Shinsuke Nakamura were winning Royal Rumbles, this whole story just made me come back to follow what I have loved throughout my childhood. Beautiful!
What really got me about this is how Cody was talking after he went out and said he wouldn't fight Roman at WM, and how he talked about having faith in the fans. Because look what it got us - and got him.
It was great to relive all this at Wrestlemania. The last 5 minutes of the Cody vs Roman main event at Wrestlemania night 2 was so good.

It was amazing how this all evolved in real time from Rhodes-v-Reigns, to Rock-v-Reigns, Rhodes-v-Bloodline+, to Rhodes&Rollins-v-Bloodline+, evolving from one Wreslemania main event, to another, to TWO main events. And the role the fans plaid in demanding Rhodes be given the chance to finish the story at WM40... It's an amazing story of Art imitating Life imitating Art imitating Life.... WOW! As a longtime fan, I'm so glad it went the way it did & that all of the huge egos behind the scenes had the foresight to navigate the MANY questions of WM40.

They took one of the most short sighted bad calls in wrestling history that could've possibly derailed Cody's career and turned it into one of the best payoffs ever. It reminded all of us why we love wrestling. We love the skill, the athleticism, the story telling, how when it's done right, it gets you emotionally invested in the story and can make you cheer and cry in the same match. Well done to everyone involved.

Words will never be enough to describe how grateful I am to have witnessed this historic event in person. Growing up we didn’t have a lot of money, so attending events like this was a near impossibility. However now being more in control over my destination in life, I was able to wait on tables for an entire summer to cough up the 2 grand it took to attend this event… Thankfully it’s one more thing to cross off the bucket list. I’ve always dream of being apart of Wrestlemania (legitimately) in a professional capacity, in fact I even wrestled for 7 years on the independent circuit but had to stop due to the birth of my daughter. I have no regrets whatsoever, buuut that fire inside- that passion won’t rest until I here “Yay” or “Nay” from the WWE directly.
I can’t tell you how tough it was watching Austin Theory in the ring at WM 40 knowing we used to wrestle in the same company together… Feeling like you should be in there too, and more importantly knowing you have what it takes to be in there too and win that honest Philly crowd. But WWE’s cut off age is 30 and sadly I discovered this at 30. It was the hardest thing professionally I’ve ever read. Knowing the sacrifices I made during those ages of acceptance to be apart of WWE as a performer (my mid and early twenties) to help care for my ailing mother who is now at stage 4 in her fight against cancer. But again, no regrets. Thankfully guys like Diamond Dallas Page and Batista are real motivators in showing it doesn’t matter how old you are… If you have it, then no one can deny you. This time at Wrestlemania it showed me that no matter what, it’s possible. And THAT is what truly saved me from the domesticated, submissive, 9-5 mindset… Going home every night unfulfilled. I refuse to let myself become every thing I am not. Hopefully WWE will allow a guy who’s above that 30 year age limit a chance to show his worth to attend the club. 🙏 I pray for this. And thank you Paul Levesque for a beautiful memory at WM 40 that will stay with me forever.

Hunter probably didn't want that, that's why he gave the rumble win to Cody and made him choose Roman right away instead of building drama.

Mania X8 against Hogan, he was supposed to be the babyface but he saw the crowd reaction to Hogan, so he played the heel and called the match with him in the ring. Ended up giving a match for the ages that ended with Hulkamania running wild one more time.

I do wish they had shown Cody presenting Seth, Rock, and Roman their Rolexes. It was a class momemt that would have made people realize what these 4 men mean to each other and their journey together. It wouldn't have hurt future builds because it was all about respect.

This gave us possibly the best 3 month stretch of storytelling EVER. Everybody was locked in also and delivering all time promos of there careers and 10/10 character work. It all culminated in possibly the most entertaining, shocking and chaotic and Dusty styled final 10 minutes. The final minutes of Mania was the greatest ending to a Mania ever arguably. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy in Cody also.

Im 30 years old man..I’m a HUGE Rock fan. Ever since i was a kid. I haven’t been this invested in a storyline since Rock vs Austin in the Attitude Era.
Over 20 years of watching wrestling. I cannot tell you how it felt when that 123 hit my tears just flowed naturally. The greatest feel good story. Wrestling done right is the most beautiful thing
