Tariq got very agressive towards Christopher because of his religious beliefs…. You can see why war breaks out. He kept avoiding answering a question, Christopher did answer the last question (that Tariq didn’t answer and sidestepped) in his last sentence of his closing argument. Christopher won this debate easily and as ill as he was.
I have watched all of Christopher’s debates against the religious and most of his opponents end up ranting with aggressive postures. I can only speculate that it’s because Christopher’s style, reasoning and logic quickly suffocates any chance they have of not only winning the debate, but I actually think they start to question their own faith and beliefs.
I'm sorry Tariq, but you seem to have completely missed the point of the discussion. Yes there are decent religious at well as secular people. But your book, your religion, promotes violence. Most might not follow exactly what it says, in fact I'd go as far as saying no one can, too many contradictions. But the good parts don't make the violent parts non-existent. Your refusal to admit what's right there in black and white removes yourself from being taken seriously as an honest interlocutor.

I'm glad I do not follow any religion I did go to church until I was 7 years old I told both of my parents that I didn't believe in what I was being taught and told and I didn't wish to be pushed into something they believed but I couldn't even at that age I thought I was being lied to because I couldn't see feel hear smell or touch the man???
And how'd they take it? I lost a grandfather at 4 and started actually thinking about heaven and hell. I quickly determined it wasn't a part of reality and my catholic family were a bunch of quacks.
