BEST WAY TO SECURE A FRONT LIP? VARIS STYLE CARBON FIBER LIP INSTALL | BMW F30

- Is there such thing as too much carbon? I finally got my front lip to match the carbon mods on the rear of the car. With all carbon fiber parts, it's rare that fitment is going to be perfect, and there's always extra modification that needs to be done. For this lip from European Society Motorsports, it already came with screw holes, but we felt the need to make 3 of our own to make it more secure. There's 3 body panel rivets in the middle of the bumper so I reused those holes for a body panel bolt kit that I got from Amazon, and made new holes in the lip. Let me know if you all have any questions about the install!
Chiming in ~10months later, no issues with the lip security! I also recommend a lip guard. It provides a lot of peace of mind knowing I’m not scraping the carbon.

Hey, for the self tapping screws (link you provided in the description), did you go with 8-18 thread x 1 long or 8-18 thread x 1/2 long

Varis is my favorite lip. In my opinion nothing comes close for the F30 Msport bumper.

@@skrrtproductions My lip was delivered about 5 days ago and I just got around to opening the box today. The carbon fiber at the bottom of one of the holes looks horrible. It's like they reached the end of the roll of cf fabric and instead of trimming it neatly it was just laid it out. Has pulls and frayed ends. The other hole has a seam but at least it's neat. I sent ESM an email to get a replacement.

Lip injections 💉 are always needed 💯. Ties in the frontend pretty well. Ceramic coating ftw!

I purchased this lip and I’m about to put it on, I was just wondering if they’ll be any issues going in to get my tires rotated with this lip catching on the lift inside the shop. How’s that been for you?
It does hang low but I haven’t had any issues. Mainly just have issues with side skirts on lifts. Depends on type of lift though. May have to use wood planks as a step up if need be. Finesse it haha
What size of the self tapping screws did you use? Thx

How’s daily driving the lip? I want to purchase but I’m scared I’ll break it..
Since I’m on sport springs and not super sports it’s not bad. I have the lip protector I put on when I lowered the car so it’s been fine. My driveway is steep too lol
