@@HellHades you stumbled and hesitated so much in this interview like you regret doing it….i even have a theory of your strategy leading up to launch….you will slowly stop making content for raid and when you do your going to be very critical and make suggestions that raid is not player friendly anymore and you will then focus on promoting your game and you will attempt to steal as many of the top raid cc to abandon raid and promote your game…so I know what your up to for future and of course your launch will be so player friend at beginning for about 6 months and then that’s when you will slowly start being like raid and start pandering to krakens and whales….cant wait for that

First, I wanna see Godforged release as an awesome game that is fun. Second, I wanna see a monetization strategy that aims for a very broad player base paying a small amount rather than the inverse.
@@diceonrice and that is my fear with godforge as well, Raid didnt become as P2W in its early days (people who were there will have to confirm this fact as I wasnt there), so my assumption if the trend continues is that godforge will be very F2P friendly in the beginning but becomng more p2w as the product cycle progresses.....we will see maybe HH will hold true to his promise or maybe it will become another investor pleasing battle.
First want to state I love Simon (HellHades) and the team he’s put together. I can’t imagine playing RAID without him and the other CC’s. Hats off to you for having the guts to try this. But… I have to admit nothing I’ve seen so far has wow factor. I know it’s early, but short of the fact that it’s being made by the guys I know from playing RAID, I don’t see anything that would make me want to play the game. You need something that stands out; awesome ultimate move cinematics or character intros or something that would make me think “holy sh!t!! I need to play that!”. Also please fix the “uncanny valley” effect on the characters eyes. Also the bosses you’ve shown so far just look like other characters. Right now it just looks like cheap RAID clone. Of course it’s my opinion, but it’s an honest one.

I understand why you are saying this because I feel similar. But now try to imagine Raid and only seeing the first level of campaign and just a few heroes. It would also not really have a wow factor. Godforged need some time to further develop as it is almost nothing right now. So much more will come including a bunch of novelties they can not show yet because other games in the genre could steal them.
Couldn't disagree more with you. They're going to have countless new heros, the combat is very different than raid with how the ultimates work, making the strategy very different. They're trying to make a game similar to raid, summoners war, that's the point. Think about all the brain-dead decisions palarium has made over the years. Now imagine a game very similar to raid but with a team that listens to the player base, makes good events, fixes issues. It's a no-brainer. I'd rather play that game. Raid is still great, but it's good to have competition in the space. Honestly, if anything, I hope they make the game very similar to raid with more QOL.
Complete freedom of design is such a blessing! I can already imagine some legendary characters themed around events like Jack the Ripper or something for halloween
I think it sounds like it’ll be a pretty damn cool fun and interesting game. I like the focus being on the champ yr using and watching them specifically do what it is that they do whether it’s to themselves, their team mates or the enemy team. But I have to say the multiple camera angle capability does sound intriguing. That could be fun to play around with depending on what game mode you’re playing..
Awesome to hear some more updates. I agree with Simon 100% dont put those little ads you have to watch just get a bit of energy or whatever. Played alot of games with those everyone hates them. Monetization shouldn't make anyone mad I mean that's what produces these games we know and love. As for the camera angle for me it's more the flick between each segment that's throwing it off for me like a movie scene with a bunch of cutscene changes you know if it was in this angle but not so jumpy just a fluid motion between each turn I think alot of people would be more ok with it. And even come to like the more zoomed in to each champ vibe.
I for one would love a 'cheap raid clone' run by people that care about it instead of a casino company. Not to say that i think thats what theyre doing, but a game with similar mechanics with more care put into the user/gamer experience would be amazing.
There is one. It’s called infinite magicraid. You can even get their version of mythicals without spending without too much difficulty. Mostly identical content, but obviously different graphics. Haven’t played in a long time but I’m sure it hasn’t changed much. Check it out
One amazing addition that could be implemented in the game is being able to spectate! It would be awesome to be able to join in with the clan to cheer on friends and see progress.
I love the concept. So much lore to delve into to make characters really pop. The thing is will monetization be as crazy as a game like Raid as I swore I'd never play a game with that again, and I haven't. Also, the gameplay has to smooth and there has to be depth to character hero building. Willing to give it a try. I am a fan afterall.
If they make it so this is raid but with ultimates and voice lines, less crazy monetization and not so many fusions back to back to back, its instantly better!
I open this 30+ minutes video within 15 minutes of upload and there's already tonnes of negative comments, just to show they didnt even watch the video before commenting. People, Hades already explained why it look similar to RAID. If you're a real gamer, you would know RAID is also a copy of a copy. Normalised mode is different, can't wait! And again, this is Pre alpha, beta is not even out yet chill out!
I agree that we dont know what the final product will be, but on the other hand if we DO watch the HH videos it sounds like Godforge is the best thing ever happend, and yes he did explain in the last Godforged video why this is not a Raid Copy and yes I understand that he needs to promote his game but UNTIL we see the actual proof of unique concept this is just the words of one person so naturally you cant expect people to fall for someones word til we have proof of concept. Yes graphics looks good but is it unique? not yet, gameplay is just like all other games in this genre so far (and yes we dont see the uniqueness as HH mentions that it cant be released yet due to the risk that other games alreading implementing it and stealing the ideas which is fair enough). I have high hopes that the Fatless studio delivers a STUNNING end product, and I am looking forward playing it, but til I see that they are truly unique I am very careful.

Hey I got a really cool idea for you guys! Definitely add some of the HP Lovecraft characters in there as well. There are a lot of nightmares and powerful entities that you guys can include in your game from that universe!
I love to have a great Raid clone. I don't mind at all. As long as it is done right unlike some of the things Plarium does. Knowing HH, I know him and his team will have a winning product.

i just hope they make it so you can actually build a specific piece of gear, like gloves or helmet specifically, instead of everything being completely random
I think random is all a part of the game. But if you're thinking more of "I want to build gloves so I lock the forge into only building gloves but the substat/mainstat are randomized." I'd prefer later tbh

Hey guys, love your passion for gaming. Something I'm SURE you've thought of but needs to be repeated for monetization; the best value for $$$ in Raid is the daily gem pack. Essentially pay a modest amount a month so you can play the game a LOT more. Assuming GodForge is super fun I would love to see that model as a base $$$ earner for the studio. Looking forward to this a ton! P.S. - I like to reward a great game with some $$$ at a reasonable level because I want the game to continue. The key is the monthly cost - reasonable being the watchword.
Also just got a bit further. With the roguelike element, would there be a way to hot save the progress in a run and return to it? Some of the best stuff about roguelikes are the epicotyl long runs where you don’t die once. Most of them have a feature that allows you to quit the game and return from where you left off. So long as you haven’t died
Thank you Ash! That was great. I think that the folks at Fateless should check out Summoners War. There are some mechanics that I really liked. I played it prior to Raid. How you can make your artifacts be what you want by farming and placing the gems was awesome. Also, if anyone from Raid had played that game they would have known how to not screw up Siege. I hope that Godforge doesn't make you play PVE for PVP materials, and vise-versa. WoW had that figured out, but not many others.
I don't think it would matter that greatly to me regardless but I am a fan of this camera angle. It has a MMO feel to it which just feels more immersive than the standard over the top view that this genre regularly offers. I am slightly concerned about the length of animations and how time consuming these runs will be. Especially since I feel as if the Fateless team is leaning away from the idea of auto battling. Even Paul mentioned that he himself is getting tired of seeing Herc Smash already. Things that look fantastic and interesting the first couple of times you see them aren't as impressive after you've seen them a few thousand times. The idea of unique runs seems appealing to me when I have the day off and can play at my leisure. However, it doesn't seem too appealing to me during times when I'm just trying to farm and spend my energy quickly so I can continue on with my day. The PvP mode mentioned in this video is VERY interesting! I already love it and I haven't even seen it yet!! The idea of grinding or farming for progression also appeals to me. They have some really great thoughts on this development team. I can't wait to see how it all pans out! You guys are doing a wonderful job over there at Fateless. GodForge has so much potential. It's very exciting!
additional question regarding pop-ups - will the BUY button be placed in a predatory position in the same way it's always positioned in raid pop-ups (i.e., you are trying to click quickly through a series of screens and a pop-up appears with a BUY button placed directly under where your thumb was repeatedly tapping)? i know this doesn't cause actual accidental purchases in raid since you still have to confirm them but it's super annoying to have to make additional taps or clicks to back out of the purchase.

I don't know how gear works, but with that draft mode it would be cool if you could draft your heroes and get options of gear you want to draft too - everyone gets the same drafts or draft pool to pick from so it really makes it more in depth
i don't mind monetization at all, ofcourse you need money for all the work that you have done and will continue to do to support the game. The problem for me with some of these games is the pricepoint. Like raid you feel like you have to sell the house and your kidney for an okay-ish pack. I find spending in these games is an enjoyable part so long as you feel you get your moneys worth when actually opening your wallet. Like raid i just completely stopped buying anything at all, cause you just get so little for it. Other games i've spent a lot more cause you actually feel like you are getting something for it.

One thing I'd like to see are banners instead of just a HUGE pool that summon from say 1k or 2k champs if 200 are legendary or w.e. so you have 1 percent to get A legendary then its 1 of 200 if it's what you want vs there being like 10 on a banner that 1 percent feels a lot better cause then it's 1 of 10 instead of 1 of 200 also most banner type summons tend to let you see what's on the Banner so you can know if you even wanna try or wait until next banner... can have a summon from the full pull just be nice if banners are an option
I’m down for what HH and team are developing! Playing for close to 5 years I grew up in raid watching ash and hh… my loyalty goes past raid and with CCs that helped me come to the endgame (ish$ 😊
You should do some QoL updates, only 2x speed? Jeezzz ;-) Also is it some uwritten rule in games that uncommon's are green, epics are purple and legendaries are gold? Also Level 60's like Raid (nothing wrong with it, but this makes it look like a copy). I wish you good luck, it looks like a game I could play in the future, but I'm not exactly sure that I like the camera view during battles... at the moment that seems to be a thing that could break the game. But I'm confident, if you guys take enough time to think things through and do a lot of UX testing, it'll become an enjoyable game. A good thing is that you can see the order of turns like in Xcom. It's been a year since I played Raid, and I don't think they ever implemented that? Not sure though, that was a big miss in the game.
And let's be clear. Getting champs "fast" shouldn't be the reason a game bores you. As there will always be heroes to release and earn through gameplay. If you're bored of a game, it's more than likey the gameplay. Repetitiveness, lack of ingenuity, weak strategy building, bland bosses, ect. People want to be able to have fun with as many champs as possible, but if you gate it behind a money wall, I guarantee you people will turn away. This isn't 2020 where everyone is cooped inside with money to burn. I see a shift away from these p2w games, and that is for the better. Better for the players, better for the integrity of the industry.
Cannot wait for this game ... amazing progress in ~1 year's time, and by release next year this thing is going to be a beast! I'm not worried about monetization with HH/Simon involved. I'd still like a F2P way to support the company, but if that's never an option so be it.
Please add a feature where you have to fight the legendary to get the legendary! Would be fun, even if it’s just for like…. A part of his essence or something 1/50 or whatever times u gotta find em which makes you login more often to see if you can find em. Would be fun if they popped up randomly or on a wishlist u can ensure em. Through playing he pops up in some way would be a lot of fun and you can focus on building your fav teams. Maybe even at the end of the week if you complete all daily login rewards you get to fight your favorite leggo and get a page of his story once you complete his story or (100 pages) you read it in game and summon him! 😮 would be fun.
The most important question is will Sath get a test account? The comment would be to just go with having the option of 2 or more camera angles. Keep up the great work.
Normalized PvP modes is huge if done right, 2 games which also do summoning very well are dislyte and ACE in terms of rates, pity count and also the amount of free summons given.
Faster runs for better rewards, weaker players may need time to clear. Leader boards for best damage and/or times. Clan vs clan and server vs server events. Drafting heros sounds awesome I liked draft magic the gathering tournaments. Affordable packs and random special offer packs (buy now or may not see it again for awhile). x1 through X10 speed manual and auto. Good placement (tank in front gets targeted more) able to set up more a.i. turns and can opt to skip action (to not put agro off tank) zoom in and out change camera angle excited to play it
@@tgbelmas I mean think about the other aspects of HH raid Optimizer, being able to use the knowledge and skills of another player without as much of a thought towards progressing in content is cheap. I agree it would be nice to have it... But being able to optimise a team based off of another players intellect is absolutely going to make the game easy, rather than having the Optimizer in its entirety, just the portion with the gear optimisation would be the sensible choice.

I´m no content creator, I like to play a casual game or even when I´m a bit more willing to put in more afford, it´s not my life defining thing, willing to sit down and creating spreadsheets over champion abilities and gear stats. I wanna have fun with playing and have referrals what could be possible in team combinations, which stats to achieve and so on. BUT even if I try to copy a given team, I can´t do it exactly as it is, because my champs are on a different level, my gear has not the exact same stats and so on. It only gives you guidance except you are a kraken and can buy until you get what you need or a content creator who has the time and money to play for hours a day. From my perspective it is not a required build in feature, but it would be nice extra. Like now with the HH Gaming page and also it could be beneficiary for another way of monetization. Choose the free plan and get help for xy features or choose another plan if you want to to get the extra when you want to. And surely enough ppl don´t find it boring or too easy to use this for their game development, because they use it enough so the website, and team behind it, can self sustain through it.
Loved this video and enjoyed the discussion around pop ups for Pack sales. What I think would be a great idea and wish Raid would do is 1) a pop up when you log in and 2) new pack pop ups. A pop up Everytime you do anything is just way too much
I think you need lots of auto completion as you reach stages of progress, but some grind, but enjoyable grind that isn’t going to take you half a day everyday. My main gripe with Raid is the time sink, it’s painful. I let my clan down because I work and can’t do anything much after a day at work, I struggle to finish my dailies sometimes.
Excited about the roguelike element, that’s a nice surprise. Games like binding of Isaac, enter the gungeon, hades and many others are some of my favourite games of all time
As long as you don't punish people for spending. That is why I quit buying anything in Raid. I got sick of having to pay more for the same thing because I purchased it in the past. Do not have dynamic pricing.
Until watching this video I was on the edge if I rly wanna play Godforge or if its the same as Raid and why would I waste another 4h in the day to do the same thing again and again , but with the Normalized game mode. I Will definitely play Godforge , if the end rewards for completing the runs, stay in your account to be able to improve your own champions or summon new ones is the best thing I have heard. If you get the chance to play all the of the champions in the game in the Normalize runs , get familiar with their abilities, looks , strenghts and weakneses , it will create your personal wish list of champions you would love to summon. Instead of "needing to summon Marishka and Taras" or you are simply not relevant in arena... Honestly with this game mode I cannot wait for Godforge to be playable for the public.
I thought FateLess was the name of the game, But other than that If they make a copy cat of Raid that doesn't screw over the players by pulling the you have to pull 200 shards to get a chance at a legendary champ and has affordable packs that actually give you a decent amount of stuff instead of Raids great $100 for like 30 void shards (that only give you more rare champs) . I think their game will work WAY BETTER and I can't wait to play it.
I'm keeping an open mind as it's still in development but I find the animation a bit clunky and I'd like to see a view from an all hero perspective rather than one hero. But I've heard that there might be a faction of the Gods from India! This is a total win for me! I've played a few games with them in it but they could never get it right. Fingers crossed that Godforged will succeed in this faction if it's true!
Agree with most of the comments here. A raid copy with a better monetisation strategy, that closes the gap between the haves and have nots, would be totally fine and a success in my opinion. Raid have just gone too far focusing on fleecing whales and krakens , there’s not a single purchase available that equates even closely to value for money for anyone with common sense. Take soulstones , if I was raid monetisation strategist , I would once a month offer 200 mortal stones for $10. I believe 10s of thousands of players would buy and it would not affect any krakens purchases. 200 mortals is totally inconsequential to them. The odds are so poor to get a soul that changes their account, but for 90% of players it could make a big difference with a little rng and for $10 I believe they’d take that gamble. I would. This strategy could be done on so much in the game and it would go some small way to closing the gaps in account strength.
I have to say that I really hate the camera angle, but I love to play games zoomed out very far so I can see everything. I play on a 3440x1440 monitor for that reason and in every game I play I zoom out far (RTS, Grand Strategy, Base Builder, etc etc).
On the topic of how to make runs more enjoyable/better use Selected Multipliers. Kinda like what they’re trying for siege except siege sucks. You chose the goal of the run that best fit the mechanics you have available to you. That also emphasises skill and knowledge of the game. Want to do a speed run: 2x rewards total Want to do a painless run: 2x chances for higher rarity rewards Want to do a run where you do do under x amount of turns: 20% energy refund. Imagine a game where you did a run so niche that you were given energy to keep doing runs without changing the results for the rewards.
Ok hear me out... I am not free to play but I think an interesting idea would be to add a boost to summoning for accounts that remain free to play every month. Like a .1% chance for legendaries and .2% chance for epics every single month you remain free to play consecutively and maxes out at .5-1% and 1-2% chances. It would help the retention of free to play accounts and isn't enough fast enough for a pay to win account to not go ahead and spend the money to get the instant gratification.
I rather would like to see a step away from this 1-2 % Bullshit! Ok, if you build the game in such a way that a F2P will get 10 legendary shards a month through game-play, that would be a massive improvement, but why not give a 5 % chance? Actually, like we all know it boils down to the point on how accessible is this stuff and what can you actually get out of it. Even with 5%, 95% of the time you pull shit with a thing that´s fairly impossible to get with F2P, except you play the game 2 hours a day, for 3 years and waited to spend your saved shards on this one event where you might have a shot of getting something you need for your account. I really would like to see this BS fixed

Here's a question I haven't heard asked yet ... Will there be a test server in any form and if so, is it going to be available to all players or just the Content Creators? One thing I have seen with almost every one of these collector games is that if they do have a test server and only have a select number of people allowed to access it, the champion balancing absolutely sucks because there's just not enough data to properly test a champion to it's limits and 'break it' so that it's not released into the game and the players end up getting upset when a champion is 'fixed' (nerfed) after being released or a completely under powered champion weasels into the game.
Simon saying the summon rates will be similar but have more ways to get more summoning items is disappointing. 0.5% and 1% 2x chances are HORRIBLE. And pooling Void's mercy system with Ancient's mercy system, but making Void shards 5 times as expensive is maddening. Spending $100 on 20 Voids and getting 20 rares or 5 epics and 15 rares or 1 legendary, 2 epics, and 17 rares is despicable. A legendary isn't more valuable. $100 on 20 void shards makes each void summon worth 5 dollars no matter what champion you summon. 200 summons before mercy kicks in has always been unfair in comparison to the amount of shards you accumulate over time for events and tournaments. Please don't let your rates be 0.5% or even 1 percent. Make them more than that, please. And yeah, do the 5x, 10x, and 20x chances.
@@cryptfire3158 I'm not God. I don't know of any of those kinds of games. You wanna ask me why am I not playing those as if I've known what they are but just said no to them. That is incorrect. I know Simon said he's played them and got bored. I don't even know what those games are. I've played Raid, Eternal Evolution, and Mortal Kombat mobile. I dropped Mortal Kombat Mobile because I got Spec Ops Scorpion to +10 and when the next update came out, they took 2 copies from me and made him +8, then they put him behind a paywall and made the odds of getting him through the green gems extremely low while grouping him in the summoning pool with other characters. Raid's rates SUCK. That's why they give free champions who are great while the player works towards accumulating enough shards for a chance at a good legendary.
@@jasonsamuels5692 you’d probably hate my ideas. I think everything in raid should be harder to get. As f2p I get at least about 2 legos a month. I’d make it so maybe 1 Lego every 2 month, with a mercy that should kick in enough after 3 month. I’d start all champs in the game with 0% crit rate. I’d even make epics hard to get. In my game people would enjoy rares . Even RARE would actually be rare.

Why be charged silver to crack open a shard you've earned? Why charge silver for using a potion or champion to upgrade a champ? Longevity in a game is a good thing, but if a company is going to make it difficult on purpose to get champs, then at least give good kits to the commons and uncommons.

I'll be honest after playing raid I will never play another $ grab game. its just simply a waste of my time and money. I'd rather go buy a 70$ game and play that then play a "free" game like raid or anything like it. That's just my personal opinion. I'm sure it will be successful just based on how popular hades is.
when doing this game, the easy thing to do is to just sit down and watch Stargate SG1 from start to finish (10 seasons of it), then take all the Goa'ulds from the series and make characters from them, because they were all named after gods, the Asgard were also named after Norse gods.
I don’t mind at all paying for summons to get a head start. What made me stop playing raid was you almost had to pay to compete in events. And if you didn’t it would became very hard (not impossible) but very difficult and very time consuming to complete. I know HH and his team will knock this out of the park, looking forward to the game!
I´m not an entirely F2P player, I don't mind to spend a few bucks ( and I mean a few for a normal, decent person who has a life out of TH-cam, a regular job, mouths to feed, and so on...), like 5 bucks here and there, no biggie to take a little shortcut on a casual game. What really frustrates me in Raid is there is no way for an early game player, mostly F2P, to really progress, get your hands on good champions, level them up and so on...If there where no login leggos, I wouldn't have ONE! The shards are a huge we rip you off hoax. You are not able to get a sufficient amount except you play the game for 8 hours a day and grind as hard as f***, and even then we f*** you with a 1% chance and mostly you will end with shit, except you are spending hundreds of cash and even then... I quit to play that game soooo often, because of that. It is frustrating, I'm willing to acknowledge that you have to keep the content creators on their toes and give them content over years, but for a regular Joe Schmo that really sucks and I hope that Godforge will give me that casual game experience, where I'm willing to spend a buck here and there to take short cuts, but be able to build a good gaming experience for me without frustration and deep grinding for weeks, to achieve really not much
The camera angle can be fine when playing on manual, but I can imagine that when playing on a auto and at 2x - 3x speed, the image jumping from one character to the whole team will have a disruptive effect. I would also personally prefer an even smaller droprate than Raid, legendary characters should be unique.
Modern gods? Do we get to fight Jeff Bezos in Godforge arena? P.s. if this game is built in a way that it also appeals to history and fantasy fanatics, I'd love to play it
As F2P, completely the wrong answer on ads giving energy and whatnot. Empires and Puzzles is an example of it being done right. I've missed it with Raid completely.
Raid has factions and faction alliances and bar one game mode made them irrelevant. It's at pity. Id love to see Faction specific team game, where different factions counter each other.

@@HellHades you stumbled and hesitated so much in this interview like you regret doing it….i even have a theory of your strategy leading up to launch….you will slowly stop making content for raid and when you do your going to be very critical and make suggestions that raid is not player friendly anymore and you will then focus on promoting your game and you will attempt to steal as many of the top raid cc to abandon raid and promote your game…so I know what your up to for future and of course your launch will be so player friend at beginning for about 6 months and then that’s when you will slowly start being like raid and start pandering to krakens and whales….cant wait for that

First, I wanna see Godforged release as an awesome game that is fun. Second, I wanna see a monetization strategy that aims for a very broad player base paying a small amount rather than the inverse.

@@diceonrice and that is my fear with godforge as well, Raid didnt become as P2W in its early days (people who were there will have to confirm this fact as I wasnt there), so my assumption if the trend continues is that godforge will be very F2P friendly in the beginning but becomng more p2w as the product cycle progresses.....we will see maybe HH will hold true to his promise or maybe it will become another investor pleasing battle.

First want to state I love Simon (HellHades) and the team he’s put together. I can’t imagine playing RAID without him and the other CC’s. Hats off to you for having the guts to try this. But… I have to admit nothing I’ve seen so far has wow factor. I know it’s early, but short of the fact that it’s being made by the guys I know from playing RAID, I don’t see anything that would make me want to play the game. You need something that stands out; awesome ultimate move cinematics or character intros or something that would make me think “holy sh!t!! I need to play that!”. Also please fix the “uncanny valley” effect on the characters eyes. Also the bosses you’ve shown so far just look like other characters. Right now it just looks like cheap RAID clone. Of course it’s my opinion, but it’s an honest one.

I understand why you are saying this because I feel similar. But now try to imagine Raid and only seeing the first level of campaign and just a few heroes. It would also not really have a wow factor. Godforged need some time to further develop as it is almost nothing right now. So much more will come including a bunch of novelties they can not show yet because other games in the genre could steal them.

Couldn't disagree more with you. They're going to have countless new heros, the combat is very different than raid with how the ultimates work, making the strategy very different. They're trying to make a game similar to raid, summoners war, that's the point. Think about all the brain-dead decisions palarium has made over the years. Now imagine a game very similar to raid but with a team that listens to the player base, makes good events, fixes issues. It's a no-brainer. I'd rather play that game. Raid is still great, but it's good to have competition in the space. Honestly, if anything, I hope they make the game very similar to raid with more QOL.

I think it sounds like it’ll be a pretty damn cool fun and interesting game. I like the focus being on the champ yr using and watching them specifically do what it is that they do whether it’s to themselves, their team mates or the enemy team. But I have to say the multiple camera angle capability does sound intriguing. That could be fun to play around with depending on what game mode you’re playing..
Awesome to hear some more updates. I agree with Simon 100% dont put those little ads you have to watch just get a bit of energy or whatever. Played alot of games with those everyone hates them. Monetization shouldn't make anyone mad I mean that's what produces these games we know and love. As for the camera angle for me it's more the flick between each segment that's throwing it off for me like a movie scene with a bunch of cutscene changes you know if it was in this angle but not so jumpy just a fluid motion between each turn I think alot of people would be more ok with it. And even come to like the more zoomed in to each champ vibe.
I for one would love a 'cheap raid clone' run by people that care about it instead of a casino company. Not to say that i think thats what theyre doing, but a game with similar mechanics with more care put into the user/gamer experience would be amazing.
There is one. It’s called infinite magicraid. You can even get their version of mythicals without spending without too much difficulty. Mostly identical content, but obviously different graphics. Haven’t played in a long time but I’m sure it hasn’t changed much. Check it out
One amazing addition that could be implemented in the game is being able to spectate! It would be awesome to be able to join in with the clan to cheer on friends and see progress.

I love the concept. So much lore to delve into to make characters really pop. The thing is will monetization be as crazy as a game like Raid as I swore I'd never play a game with that again, and I haven't. Also, the gameplay has to smooth and there has to be depth to character hero building. Willing to give it a try. I am a fan afterall.

If they make it so this is raid but with ultimates and voice lines, less crazy monetization and not so many fusions back to back to back, its instantly better!
I open this 30+ minutes video within 15 minutes of upload and there's already tonnes of negative comments, just to show they didnt even watch the video before commenting.
People, Hades already explained why it look similar to RAID. If you're a real gamer, you would know RAID is also a copy of a copy. Normalised mode is different, can't wait!

I agree that we dont know what the final product will be, but on the other hand if we DO watch the HH videos it sounds like Godforge is the best thing ever happend, and yes he did explain in the last Godforged video why this is not a Raid Copy and yes I understand that he needs to promote his game but UNTIL we see the actual proof of unique concept this is just the words of one person so naturally you cant expect people to fall for someones word til we have proof of concept. Yes graphics looks good but is it unique? not yet, gameplay is just like all other games in this genre so far (and yes we dont see the uniqueness as HH mentions that it cant be released yet due to the risk that other games alreading implementing it and stealing the ideas which is fair enough). I have high hopes that the Fatless studio delivers a STUNNING end product, and I am looking forward playing it, but til I see that they are truly unique I am very careful.

i just hope they make it so you can actually build a specific piece of gear, like gloves or helmet specifically, instead of everything being completely random
I think random is all a part of the game. But if you're thinking more of "I want to build gloves so I lock the forge into only building gloves but the substat/mainstat are randomized." I'd prefer later tbh

Hey guys, love your passion for gaming. Something I'm SURE you've thought of but needs to be repeated for monetization; the best value for $$$ in Raid is the daily gem pack. Essentially pay a modest amount a month so you can play the game a LOT more. Assuming GodForge is super fun I would love to see that model as a base $$$ earner for the studio. Looking forward to this a ton! P.S. - I like to reward a great game with some $$$ at a reasonable level because I want the game to continue. The key is the monthly cost - reasonable being the watchword.
Also just got a bit further. With the roguelike element, would there be a way to hot save the progress in a run and return to it? Some of the best stuff about roguelikes are the epicotyl long runs where you don’t die once. Most of them have a feature that allows you to quit the game and return from where you left off. So long as you haven’t died

I think that the folks at Fateless should check out Summoners War. There are some mechanics that I really liked. I played it prior to Raid. How you can make your artifacts be what you want by farming and placing the gems was awesome. Also, if anyone from Raid had played that game they would have known how to not screw up Siege.
I hope that Godforge doesn't make you play PVE for PVP materials, and vise-versa. WoW had that figured out, but not many others.

I don't think it would matter that greatly to me regardless but I am a fan of this camera angle. It has a MMO feel to it which just feels more immersive than the standard over the top view that this genre regularly offers.
I am slightly concerned about the length of animations and how time consuming these runs will be. Especially since I feel as if the Fateless team is leaning away from the idea of auto battling. Even Paul mentioned that he himself is getting tired of seeing Herc Smash already. Things that look fantastic and interesting the first couple of times you see them aren't as impressive after you've seen them a few thousand times.
The idea of unique runs seems appealing to me when I have the day off and can play at my leisure. However, it doesn't seem too appealing to me during times when I'm just trying to farm and spend my energy quickly so I can continue on with my day.
The PvP mode mentioned in this video is VERY interesting! I already love it and I haven't even seen it yet!!
The idea of grinding or farming for progression also appeals to me. They have some really great thoughts on this development team. I can't wait to see how it all pans out!
You guys are doing a wonderful job over there at Fateless. GodForge has so much potential. It's very exciting!
additional question regarding pop-ups - will the BUY button be placed in a predatory position in the same way it's always positioned in raid pop-ups (i.e., you are trying to click quickly through a series of screens and a pop-up appears with a BUY button placed directly under where your thumb was repeatedly tapping)? i know this doesn't cause actual accidental purchases in raid since you still have to confirm them but it's super annoying to have to make additional taps or clicks to back out of the purchase.

I don't know how gear works, but with that draft mode it would be cool if you could draft your heroes and get options of gear you want to draft too - everyone gets the same drafts or draft pool to pick from so it really makes it more in depth
i don't mind monetization at all, ofcourse you need money for all the work that you have done and will continue to do to support the game. The problem for me with some of these games is the pricepoint. Like raid you feel like you have to sell the house and your kidney for an okay-ish pack. I find spending in these games is an enjoyable part so long as you feel you get your moneys worth when actually opening your wallet. Like raid i just completely stopped buying anything at all, cause you just get so little for it. Other games i've spent a lot more cause you actually feel like you are getting something for it.
I haven't tuned in to Godforge in a second, but it sounds like it's going to be right up my ally. Good luck guys, I'll be sure to check it out on launch 🤘

One thing I'd like to see are banners instead of just a HUGE pool that summon from say 1k or 2k champs if 200 are legendary or w.e. so you have 1 percent to get A legendary then its 1 of 200 if it's what you want vs there being like 10 on a banner that 1 percent feels a lot better cause then it's 1 of 10 instead of 1 of 200 also most banner type summons tend to let you see what's on the Banner so you can know if you even wanna try or wait until next banner... can have a summon from the full pull just be nice if banners are an option
I’m down for what HH and team are developing! Playing for close to 5 years I grew up in raid watching ash and hh… my loyalty goes past raid and with CCs that helped me come to the endgame (ish$ 😊

You should do some QoL updates, only 2x speed? Jeezzz ;-) Also is it some uwritten rule in games that uncommon's are green, epics are purple and legendaries are gold? Also Level 60's like Raid (nothing wrong with it, but this makes it look like a copy). I wish you good luck, it looks like a game I could play in the future, but I'm not exactly sure that I like the camera view during battles... at the moment that seems to be a thing that could break the game. But I'm confident, if you guys take enough time to think things through and do a lot of UX testing, it'll become an enjoyable game. A good thing is that you can see the order of turns like in Xcom. It's been a year since I played Raid, and I don't think they ever implemented that? Not sure though, that was a big miss in the game.
And let's be clear. Getting champs "fast" shouldn't be the reason a game bores you. As there will always be heroes to release and earn through gameplay. If you're bored of a game, it's more than likey the gameplay. Repetitiveness, lack of ingenuity, weak strategy building, bland bosses, ect. People want to be able to have fun with as many champs as possible, but if you gate it behind a money wall, I guarantee you people will turn away. This isn't 2020 where everyone is cooped inside with money to burn. I see a shift away from these p2w games, and that is for the better. Better for the players, better for the integrity of the industry.

Please add a feature where you have to fight the legendary to get the legendary! Would be fun, even if it’s just for like…. A part of his essence or something 1/50 or whatever times u gotta find em which makes you login more often to see if you can find em. Would be fun if they popped up randomly or on a wishlist u can ensure em. Through playing he pops up in some way would be a lot of fun and you can focus on building your fav teams. Maybe even at the end of the week if you complete all daily login rewards you get to fight your favorite leggo and get a page of his story once you complete his story or (100 pages) you read it in game and summon him! 😮 would be fun.

Normalized PvP modes is huge if done right, 2 games which also do summoning very well are dislyte and
ACE in terms of rates, pity count and also the amount of free summons given.
Faster runs for better rewards, weaker players may need time to clear. Leader boards for best damage and/or times. Clan vs clan and server vs server events. Drafting heros sounds awesome I liked draft magic the gathering tournaments. Affordable packs and random special offer packs (buy now or may not see it again for awhile). x1 through X10 speed manual and auto. Good placement (tank in front gets targeted more) able to set up more a.i. turns and can opt to skip action (to not put agro off tank) zoom in and out change camera angle excited to play it
For me, the normalised story mode is extremely interesting, reminds me of my old role-playing days, genuinely excited!
I actaully have a question: will the game already came with an inbued HELLHADES Optimizer of sort?

@@tgbelmas I mean think about the other aspects of HH raid Optimizer, being able to use the knowledge and skills of another player without as much of a thought towards progressing in content is cheap. I agree it would be nice to have it... But being able to optimise a team based off of another players intellect is absolutely going to make the game easy, rather than having the Optimizer in its entirety, just the portion with the gear optimisation would be the sensible choice.

I´m no content creator, I like to play a casual game or even when I´m a bit more willing to put in more afford, it´s not my life defining thing, willing to sit down and creating spreadsheets over champion abilities and gear stats. I wanna have fun with playing and have referrals what could be possible in team combinations, which stats to achieve and so on. BUT even if I try to copy a given team, I can´t do it exactly as it is, because my champs are on a different level, my gear has not the exact same stats and so on. It only gives you guidance except you are a kraken and can buy until you get what you need or a content creator who has the time and money to play for hours a day. From my perspective it is not a required build in feature, but it would be nice extra. Like now with the HH Gaming page and also it could be beneficiary for another way of monetization. Choose the free plan and get help for xy features or choose another plan if you want to to get the extra when you want to. And surely enough ppl don´t find it boring or too easy to use this for their game development, because they use it enough so the website, and team behind it, can self sustain through it.

The more I see and hear about Godforge, the more excited I am to get involved both as a player and a CC.
I think you need lots of auto completion as you reach stages of progress, but some grind, but enjoyable grind that isn’t going to take you half a day everyday.
My main gripe with Raid is the time sink, it’s painful. I let my clan down because I work and can’t do anything much after a day at work, I struggle to finish my dailies sometimes.

As long as you don't punish people for spending. That is why I quit buying anything in Raid. I got sick of having to pay more for the same thing because I purchased it in the past. Do not have dynamic pricing.
Another thing that would be amazing is if you can give us live pvp battles with clan mates and stuff to test your strats against each other.
Until watching this video I was on the edge if I rly wanna play Godforge or if its the same as Raid and why would I waste another 4h in the day to do the same thing again and again , but with the Normalized game mode. I Will definitely play Godforge , if the end rewards for completing the runs, stay in your account to be able to improve your own champions or summon new ones is the best thing I have heard. If you get the chance to play all the of the champions in the game in the Normalize runs , get familiar with their abilities, looks , strenghts and weakneses , it will create your personal wish list of champions you would love to summon.
Instead of "needing to summon Marishka and Taras" or you are simply not relevant in arena...
Honestly with this game mode I cannot wait for Godforge to be playable for the public.
I thought FateLess was the name of the game, But other than that If they make a copy cat of Raid that doesn't screw over the players by pulling the you have to pull 200 shards to get a chance at a legendary champ and has affordable packs that actually give you a decent amount of stuff instead of Raids great $100 for like 30 void shards (that only give you more rare champs) . I think their game will work WAY BETTER and I can't wait to play it.
I'm keeping an open mind as it's still in development but I find the animation a bit clunky and I'd like to see a view from an all hero perspective rather than one hero. But I've heard that there might be a faction of the Gods from India! This is a total win for me! I've played a few games with them in it but they could never get it right. Fingers crossed that Godforged will succeed in this faction if it's true!
Agree with most of the comments here. A raid copy with a better monetisation strategy, that closes the gap between the haves and have nots, would be totally fine and a success in my opinion. Raid have just gone too far focusing on fleecing whales and krakens , there’s not a single purchase available that equates even closely to value for money for anyone with common sense. Take soulstones , if I was raid monetisation strategist , I would once a month offer 200 mortal stones for $10. I believe 10s of thousands of players would buy and it would not affect any krakens purchases. 200 mortals is totally inconsequential to them. The odds are so poor to get a soul that changes their account, but for 90% of players it could make a big difference with a little rng and for $10 I believe they’d take that gamble. I would. This strategy could be done on so much in the game and it would go some small way to closing the gaps in account strength.
I have to say that I really hate the camera angle, but I love to play games zoomed out very far so I can see everything. I play on a 3440x1440 monitor for that reason and in every game I play I zoom out far (RTS, Grand Strategy, Base Builder, etc etc).
You guys should definitely look into doing some Sumerian stuff… like the Annunaki
On the topic of how to make runs more enjoyable/better use Selected Multipliers. Kinda like what they’re trying for siege except siege sucks.
You chose the goal of the run that best fit the mechanics you have available to you. That also emphasises skill and knowledge of the game.
Want to do a speed run: 2x rewards total
Want to do a painless run: 2x chances for higher rarity rewards
Want to do a run where you do do under x amount of turns: 20% energy refund.
Imagine a game where you did a run so niche that you were given energy to keep doing runs without changing the results for the rewards.
All you gotta do is do right were raid do wrong. Learn with their mistakes and dont make a predatory gacha game and this could be something special

Maybe add "archetypes" to myths, gods, and legends. Robin Hood is definitely an archetype; his name is often used to describe a certain kind of hero.
Like the rogue like idea. Really hope you can save the run and come back to it before the season ends vs do it all in one sitting.
Ok hear me out... I am not free to play but I think an interesting idea would be to add a boost to summoning for accounts that remain free to play every month. Like a .1% chance for legendaries and .2% chance for epics every single month you remain free to play consecutively and maxes out at .5-1% and 1-2% chances. It would help the retention of free to play accounts and isn't enough fast enough for a pay to win account to not go ahead and spend the money to get the instant gratification.
I rather would like to see a step away from this 1-2 % Bullshit! Ok, if you build the game in such a way that a F2P will get 10 legendary shards a month through game-play, that would be a massive improvement, but why not give a 5 % chance?
Actually, like we all know it boils down to the point on how accessible is this stuff and what can you actually get out of it. Even with 5%, 95% of the time you pull shit with a thing that´s fairly impossible to get with F2P, except you play the game 2 hours a day, for 3 years and waited to spend your saved shards on this one event where you might have a shot of getting something you need for your account. I really would like to see this BS fixed

Here's a question I haven't heard asked yet ... Will there be a test server in any form and if so, is it going to be available to all players or just the Content Creators?
One thing I have seen with almost every one of these collector games is that if they do have a test server and only have a select number of people allowed to access it, the champion balancing absolutely sucks because there's just not enough data to properly test a champion to it's limits and 'break it' so that it's not released into the game and the players end up getting upset when a champion is 'fixed' (nerfed) after being released or a completely under powered champion weasels into the game.

Currently playing HSR as I'm watching this, I love the view personally!
Simon saying the summon rates will be similar but have more ways to get more summoning items is disappointing. 0.5% and 1% 2x chances are HORRIBLE. And pooling Void's mercy system with Ancient's mercy system, but making Void shards 5 times as expensive is maddening. Spending $100 on 20 Voids and getting 20 rares or 5 epics and 15 rares or 1 legendary, 2 epics, and 17 rares is despicable. A legendary isn't more valuable. $100 on 20 void shards makes each void summon worth 5 dollars no matter what champion you summon. 200 summons before mercy kicks in has always been unfair in comparison to the amount of shards you accumulate over time for events and tournaments. Please don't let your rates be 0.5% or even 1 percent. Make them more than that, please. And yeah, do the 5x, 10x, and 20x chances.
There are games out there where you can easily get most legendaries after 1 month.. why aren't you playing those?
@@cryptfire3158 I'm not God. I don't know of any of those kinds of games. You wanna ask me why am I not playing those as if I've known what they are but just said no to them. That is incorrect. I know Simon said he's played them and got bored. I don't even know what those games are. I've played Raid, Eternal Evolution, and Mortal Kombat mobile. I dropped Mortal Kombat Mobile because I got Spec Ops Scorpion to +10 and when the next update came out, they took 2 copies from me and made him +8, then they put him behind a paywall and made the odds of getting him through the green gems extremely low while grouping him in the summoning pool with other characters. Raid's rates SUCK. That's why they give free champions who are great while the player works towards accumulating enough shards for a chance at a good legendary.
@@jasonsamuels5692 you’d probably hate my ideas. I think everything in raid should be harder to get. As f2p I get at least about 2 legos a month. I’d make it so maybe 1 Lego every 2 month, with a mercy that should kick in enough after 3 month. I’d start all champs in the game with 0% crit rate. I’d even make epics hard to get. In my game people would enjoy rares . Even RARE would actually be rare.

Why be charged silver to crack open a shard you've earned? Why charge silver for using a potion or champion to upgrade a champ? Longevity in a game is a good thing, but if a company is going to make it difficult on purpose to get champs, then at least give good kits to the commons and uncommons.
I hope you guys add summons like in final fantasy games .
Also would love a good reroll mechanic for new accounts

I'll be honest after playing raid I will never play another $ grab game. its just simply a waste of my time and money. I'd rather go buy a 70$ game and play that then play a "free" game like raid or anything like it. That's just my personal opinion. I'm sure it will be successful just based on how popular hades is.
when doing this game, the easy thing to do is to just sit down and watch Stargate SG1 from start to finish (10 seasons of it), then take all the Goa'ulds from the series and make characters from them, because they were all named after gods, the Asgard were also named after Norse gods.

I don’t mind at all paying for summons to get a head start. What made me stop playing raid was you almost had to pay to compete in events. And if you didn’t it would became very hard (not impossible) but very difficult and very time consuming to complete.

I´m not an entirely F2P player, I don't mind to spend a few bucks ( and I mean a few for a normal, decent person who has a life out of TH-cam, a regular job, mouths to feed, and so on...), like 5 bucks here and there, no biggie to take a little shortcut on a casual game. What really frustrates me in Raid is there is no way for an early game player, mostly F2P, to really progress, get your hands on good champions, level them up and so on...If there where no login leggos, I wouldn't have ONE!
The shards are a huge we rip you off hoax. You are not able to get a sufficient amount except you play the game for 8 hours a day and grind as hard as f***, and even then we f*** you with a 1% chance and mostly you will end with shit, except you are spending hundreds of cash and even then... I quit to play that game soooo often, because of that. It is frustrating, I'm willing to acknowledge that you have to keep the content creators on their toes and give them content over years, but for a regular Joe Schmo that really sucks and I hope that Godforge will give me that casual game experience, where I'm willing to spend a buck here and there to take short cuts, but be able to build a good gaming experience for me without frustration and deep grinding for weeks, to achieve really not much
wish we could learn more about a clan boss or can we share heros with our friends like some other versions of this game
The camera angle can be fine when playing on manual, but I can imagine that when playing on a auto and at 2x - 3x speed, the image jumping from one character to the whole team will have a disruptive effect. I would also personally prefer an even smaller droprate than Raid, legendary characters should be unique.
Modern gods? Do we get to fight Jeff Bezos in Godforge arena?
P.s. if this game is built in a way that it also appeals to history and fantasy fanatics, I'd love to play it

As F2P, completely the wrong answer on ads giving energy and whatnot. Empires and Puzzles is an example of it being done right. I've missed it with Raid completely.
Raid has factions and faction alliances and bar one game mode made them irrelevant. It's at pity. Id love to see Faction specific team game, where different factions counter each other.
