I don't think it's as simple as it seems. Their Dad knew the effect this would have on his children and the Scions. He might be pushing them away so they will dig deeper.
I wanna rig up that hover chair what's-his-name from the Ala Mhigo dungeon was riding, so Arenvald can be a mobile artillery piece. Walking's for suckers, Aren, this'll be an upgrade.
G'raha has the advantage of not being a well known scion....it makes sense he'll sneak around in the restricted section of the library in Sharlayan....
Something I saw brought up the other day was that yoshi’s New Years message may have been referring to Fourchenault It was something along the lines of “Our progeny may never know, why we look unto the sky, or seek for truths below, we bear their scorn or watch them die” Progeny = the twins The sky = the final days? Truths below = labyrinthos (confirmed beneath old sharlayan by the EW site) Bear their scorn or watch them die = disown the twins to “protect” the twins
I’m glad I caught these VODs on Twitch because there was a lot more editing here than I expected to see, especially in the FIGHTS of all things! Either way, I’m happy that they’ve made their way to TH-cam in whatever form Ethys could manage.
I do think "the dreamer" is referring to Zenos himself, who has been dreaming of the Final Days night after night. Zenos has become the equal to the Ascians, so he might be able to bring about the Final Days as an act of Creation magic, rather than relying on an external source to trigger it.
If this game has taught me anything about the "human condition", it is that nothing should be taken at face value nor is it as easy as it seems. The only easy day was yesterday.
Since we're speculating, I just want to say that I think Anima could be Fandaniel's "true form", like how Emet-Selch was Hades and Elidibus was the Warrior of Light. We know Anima is going to be a trial, and I don't expect Fandaniel to be the end boss, so I think he will be positioned something like Innocence was.
I think we hear Anima in Garlemald, it does match the roar at the end of the Zenos cinematic. That being said Fandaniel could have shifted off-camera, but I don't think so. My running theory is that we're going to be getting three trials as normal (sisters, anima and fandaniel) and then a surprise final fourth trial to cap it off (maybe Zenos/Zodiark/something else they pull out towards the end), because who says they have to play by the rules?
I was skimming through my friends list and shocked that I saw your name and realized I was actually able to play with you a long time ago. Hope we can play again soon!
I have a theory that we are not going to "The Moon" but rather returning to the original planet where Hydaelyn is residing, while we are currently on the moon where Zodiark is. I have several key point that point to this, first the Atherial Sea, second what we know of primals, third Amaurot, forth is the 5.0 Elidibus scene, and last the Endwalker Logo. For the Atherial Sea it said that the closer we get to it the stronger connection to Hydaelyn, however I believe this to be a false hood. From what we learned in ShadowBringers Hydaelyn is represented with the Element of Light, which is considered to be passive, yet the Life Stream is considered to be a raging tempest. Mean it is represented by the Active (Darkness). Thus the closer we got to it (Anti Tower) Hydaelyn prevents other from approaching since we are actually getting closer to Zodiark. Also from what we know of Primals they drain the land of aether and yet with Hydaelyn being an active/awake primal the world of Hydaelyn is not drained of Aether (except the Burn), this is beacuse Hydaelyn is not in the planet we are on, not only that what better way to have the sacrifices to Zodiark be nearby when he awakens. To also not Zodiark is currently lying dormant requiring the shards to be made whole, thus he would not be feasting on aether. Moving on a lot of people say that Amaurot structures would have been destroyed in the Calamities, however when our character tries to take a sample from an existing structure we are unable to, meaning the only means of destroying the structures would be if they collided with each other, and there is only one Calamity that we know of that was an Earthquake. That is why we saw the similar Amaurot structures, and statues on "The Moon" since they are the original structures(Also just to note here the dungeon with the different biospheres reminds me a lot on the Eden Primals in how we gathered aether to place in other locations fixing the land). The biggest proof that I can give towards Hydaelyn is on "The Moon"(Real Planet) is from the 5.0 Elidibus scene, he stare at the current world when addressing that we are ignorant to the truth only to kneels down and place his hand on the surface when directly talking to Hydaelyn in a threatening way. He would not have made such a movement if addressing Hydaelyn from his position. With that brings me to the Endwalker Logo, take close at the dark circle and the additional dark ring. Looking at it looks like a crater, with a large chunk of land that was removed. With what Hydaelyn claimed back in Heavensward she cast Zodiark out to be a "moon bound." This is why we are facing what we know as Lunar Primals now, and the fact that Zenos has stopped his hunt for Zodiark, since I think its in his custody. Again this is only a theory and can be proven wrong in Endwalker.
Also giving some thought to the Lunar Primals, I think the goal is similar to that of what we did in Eden for Zenos/ Fandaniel. Think on the quote Zenos gives 'I will drink a sea of souls and gorge myself on the darken moon.' The souls are those he kills of course, but the darken moon is created through process of creating "Primals" of Darkness. By using Aether from Zodiark (Element of Darkness) and disperse it across the world(The Moon) in order to corrupt the land in order to self generate the terminus beasts. This is why Lunar Bahamut was not fully required as it was more or less a tool to insight fear for when they capture those to be sacrificed in order to summon a lunar primal, as they would be ready to "pray" to the gods.
That roar is literally a speed up version of Lavos' Cry. My goodness if we get a Chrono Trigger/Cross crossover, (lol too many crosses) it would be crazy!
Poor Estinien doesn't attend the meeting because he doesn't want to be interrogate by Aymeric only to get interrogated by Aymeric anyways. Having watched others go through the game recently Estinien has been pulling off wtf moves since the SB Drg storyline. Not that what he pulls off during the fight against Lunar Ifrit wasn't cool looking.
Hey is Ethys alright? I'm quite new to his channel but really enjoyed his lore content and msq playthrough. Today's the early access release of Endwalker and I thought he would dive straight into it but I havent seen anything on Twitter/Twitch. If you read this Ethys: Hope you're alright man and you just took a break or something. I look forward to your vids, just take your time and take care mate :)
hello mr asher. i have a question. now that we gonna get pyromancer on board i was wondering if you guys would do a twitch stream together talking about lore and stuff.he is taking notes but ARR doesnt really go to deep into the whole world continents and stuff ^^
@Ethys Asher, the thing is, with Alphinaud, he tends to lean toward the belief that words shall win it at least 80% of the time. Now while he is trained to fight, he's still too naive. Vi Si Pacem; Para Bellum. Never mind the fact that he doesn't get it. If violence isn't solving your problems, you're not using enough of it.
Also, wild-ass speculation, but I think she is Sharlayan. She may even be the twins' mother. Edit: Now I think of it, she didn't really look Elezen though. Probably not their mother.
Do you think it’s fair to speculate that a common trait for Ancients to have white hair? In Tales of the Shadows, it said Hades had white hair and Venat appears to us as a white haired woman?
the lunarians from ffiv also had white hair as a trait coincidence? hmm maybe and maybe not lol perhaps the moon is actually where the Amaroutines came from before "hydaelyn " the planet came into existence. and i say this cause it was revealed to us that the final days left the world as a desolate wasteland that could not sustain life. so i am curious if what if the "moon" was the ancient world and it was abandoned by the people cause of what happened during the final days and they used Zodiark to create a "new world" that they could safely use as a new bastion for life.
@@Zoeila the forms we see them in are not their true forms remember Elidibus said that we only see "crude approximations " and in tales of the shadows which is 100% canon to MSQ it states that Hades (Emet-selch) does have white hair not the brownish hair of "Solus zos galvus" and if you watched Elidibus' flashback to Azem, he also had/has white hair.
The funny part is my character has a natural glare to their face so everyone is smiling at the moon and my character is just really pissed looking at it like it's mocking me.
I don't think it's as simple as it seems. Their Dad knew the effect this would have on his children and the Scions. He might be pushing them away so they will dig deeper.
I like this possibility! It hadn't crossed my mind
Every time Estinien speaks just disregard his dialogue and read it as "Nerds!"
It fits.

Chat caught it but I did not, the "Dreamer" could be a FFX reference. That is essentially how Yu Yevon worked.
Considering the people in the towers bear a striking resemblance to Fayth....
friendly reminder that Lakshmi refers to her followers as my dreamers
there's also the fact they are using anima and the magi sisters in Endwalker. I think they will draw more from FFX than we thought at first.
Other languages do not necessarily refer to Zodiark as Dreamer but rather just say he's sleeping
@Kromgar1337 yep but they appear also in 10, just pointing out there’s links to both games
G'raha has the advantage of not being a well known scion....it makes sense he'll sneak around in the restricted section of the library in Sharlayan....

Bear their scorn or watch them die = disown the twins to “protect” the twins
Wow, now that you mention it, since G'raha can flex every role, the scions have a full party regardless of what the WoL is.
How does Lunar Odin even work? He's not powered by faith is he? He's a person overtaken by the will of Zantetsuken, right?
And to be fair Estenien is basically the walking reincarnation of Nidhogg.

Can we strap Arenvald in to the G-Warrior?
Does "The Dreamer" and all of the beastment sealed up in the towers not give anyone else FFX Fayth vibes?
If this game has taught me anything about the "human condition", it is that nothing should be taken at face value nor is it as easy as it seems. The only easy day was yesterday.
Omg yess i was yearning for this and ir showed on my recomended
I want a /fistclench emote. When used, everyone in a 60' radius of the user gets a forced camera angle shift where it zooms into the user's fist.
I think the dreamer is anima. That scream was almost identical to anima's cry when summoned in ffx.
Since we're speculating, I just want to say that I think Anima could be Fandaniel's "true form", like how Emet-Selch was Hades and Elidibus was the Warrior of Light. We know Anima is going to be a trial, and I don't expect Fandaniel to be the end boss, so I think he will be positioned something like Innocence was.

could also be Zeromus
The dreamer is Anima. Furthermore Anima is Zenos' mum.
Something I wonder is how they managed to call forth Lunar Odin. I don't fully remember the sword/primal relationship but it seems odd.
Dulia Chai should come to the Source, the WoD will gladly help her
Oh, can't help but feel the Gateway to the Gods is a FFXI reference / homage
yep i think theres gonna be a lot of ffxi references. ishikawa herself called out eureeka as content that should be done
My first though after Fordola talked to arenvald was, "We could totally go to Bozja and borrow a Gabriel for him to use". But that's too easy.
I still think it would be fucking sick if Arenvald appears in Endwalker piloting the G-Warrior
The dreamers are probably the tempered in the towers
what is this wind chime sound playing when the moon is out
I was skimming through my friends list and shocked that I saw your name and realized I was actually able to play with you a long time ago. Hope we can play again soon!

Why was Eternal Wind played when Venat showed up?
Wheelchair Mount when?
I have another question. Why didn’t Venat appear like a towering giant and instead more proportional to the common size of the races?
She appears to have taken a form from the "lesser" races, just as the Ascians did.
Also, wild-ass speculation, but I think she is Sharlayan. She may even be the twins' mother.
Edit: Now I think of it, she didn't really look Elezen though. Probably not their mother.
I do have to admit though. This game shits on Alphinaud... Like dump trucks full, shits on him. For him being roughly 17-18 yo now he's just damn son.
Do you think it’s fair to speculate that a common trait for Ancients to have white hair? In Tales of the Shadows, it said Hades had white hair and Venat appears to us as a white haired woman?

Can someone explain why the Lunar primals didn’t enthrall the scions? They maybe talked about it and I wasn’t paying close enough attention.
It was explained in the previous story patch. Lunar primals don't enthrall people, because they can't.
Lunar primals can't temper people, they're just as enthralled to Zenos/Garlemald as the rest of them.
Buhbye till then, Ethys :)
after 2 year's of people trying to shove down my throat that the ascians are good is great to finally see Venat
Venat is a bad guy
@@omensoffate you have to be blind to think that
43:15 I wonder what was the point of that? Just edgy pose ? The moon thing didnt make sence whatsoever exept for the players only.
